Galatasaray has got to quarter-final at Turkish Cup thanks to Yunus Akgun hat-trick
Galatasaray has managed to qualify to the quarter-final of the Turkish Cup after beating Boluspor during Turkish Cup last 16 2nd leg game with 4:1 scoreline thanks to the hat-trick of young player Yunus Akgun.
Despite of not signing officially any attackers during this mid-season transfer window, Galatasaray carries on having great start of the 2019 with winning all of the games and in total of scoring 12 goals, even through 10 goals of those came from 2 games. It was especially important despite of scoreline is to play mainly reserved and younger players for Fatih Terim who also has provided playing time towards 12 Turkish players out of 14 players during whole game. Meanwhile, one of the reasons why Yunus Akgun has been observed to not hold his tears after hat-trick could been today's announcement of him leaving to Anderlecht, even through the transfer has been cancelled later on day, where he would be aiming to carry on his rise of career as he is being among one of the most anticapated players for the future of the Turkey. It was important without doubt to win this game in such comfortable result for Galatasaray to keep its motivation for rest of the season in all competitions their are taking place.
Following today's draw of quarter-final and semi-final, Galatasaray has been drawn against
Hatayspor who has eliminated Basaksehirspor during last 16 stage and Istanbul giant would be seen as one of the most favourite sides to get Turkish Cup at the end of the season.
Galatasaray are close to make transfer deal with Kasimpasa for Mbiaye Diagne.
As we are approaching to the last day of the mid-season transfer window of 2019, it is highly expected that Galatasaray would be announcing official transfer deal with Kasimpasa player Mbiaye Diagne with an expectation of deal to be 12 million euro.
During last days, Turkish sports media is discussing actively about Mbiaye Diagne making deal with Galatasaray and also ex-Galatasaray player Bafetembi Gomis who has met with Diagne during his visit to Istanbul that deal is made. Interestingly, Kasimpasa does deny that transfer deal has been made but all of the discussions does move for done deal. One of the strong aspects which makes this transfer to take place, of most goal-scorer of Super League with 20 goals, that the player is known to be wanting to joining team with giving strong hints with his Instagram account. Stating that it does look like their is not still done deal, its only close to be made, which by itself could mean that it wont be done until deadline of window, and hence it would mean that Galatasaray will end season without attacker. Galatasaray of course aims to end this transfer negotiations before deadline and made everyone who is involved at team satisfied for purchasing such successful atacker.
Galatasaray did make a statement that it has started transfer negotiations with player and club and it would become clear if deal would be made during 31st January.
Ricardo Quaresma is preparing to leave Besiktas.
There is high expectation that Besiktas player Ricardo Quaresma would be leaving his team in short notice, as it is been observed and been stated that he is unhappy at his current club mainly due of delay payments towards him from the club.
Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes during today's briefing with football journalists has stated that chance of Quaresma at leaving club is 90% and it was visible and discussed actively during game when Erzurumspor during last week where Quaresma has also recieved red card. Stating that, it is still unclear what would be next destination for Quaresma as player was willing to join Porto but Portuguese side head coach Sergio Coinceao didnt approve his transfer to the team. It needs to be mentioned meanwhile that Besiktas has been mainly remembered during this mid-season transfer window of losing an important players such as Ryan Babel, Pepe, Vagner Love and now Ricardo Quaresma leaving the club rather than making their side stronger. This circumstances could provide some difficulty for this season at fighting for league title for sure.
It does look almost certain for Ricardo Quaresma to leave team but if he will not find any club, he could stay at the Besiktas until end of the season at least.
