What happened in Turkish football today? 13/01/2019

Ankaragucu head coach Bayram Bektas has resigned from his position.

Ankaragucu head coach Bayram Bektas has resigned from his position as the club didnt make transfers during start of the mid-season transfer window, connecting his reasoning to the fact that he doesnt see his side to be stronger for 2nd half of the season.

This decision could be seen pretty surprising as it is known that many clubs currently due of FFP and economical condition in Turkey are having troubles at making transfers however this decision does provide a view that Ankaragucu is not showing any efforts to make deals right now. With Ankaragucu having an important tasks for 2nd half of the season with an aim at least to stay at the Super League for next season, it could be argued that this ineffective transfer period could provide some issues for 2nd half and if head coach is unhappy with how administration is building team for him to work with, he would have a valuable reason to end his connection with the side due of that. If that is case, than Bayram Bektas is using his right in effective manner and if he is not than it is just unsportive action and after that Ankaragucu wouldnt like to keep in such manner.

This decision has been as big surprise and in unexpected manner as all clubs are focussed into restart of the season and this decision would lead Ankaragucu into difficult situation for sure.

Sivasspor has loaned Besiktas player Fatih Aksoy for 1.5 years.

Sivasspor has loaned Besiktas player Fatih Aksoy for 1.5 years with an interesting agreement that if player would not play at least 15 games, Sivasspor would pay 1 million euro compensation to Besiktas.

With Fatih Aksoy as player having great potentiality due of his young age, but doesnt fit into upcoming games plan for Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes during this season, it was understandable for player to be loaned to Sivasspor. With Sivasspor also having good season and does have set high aims with good results coming in previous games, it would be also good opportunity for Fatih Aksoy to show some good performance and show his value both to Besiktas and whole Turkey as he would be working also with head coach which seems to be understanding well of psychology of the players. Without doubt Sivasspor would be expecting good performance from Aksoy and player who would like to become one of key players at Besiktas future would be aiming to show good and impressive performance.

If things would go for Fatih Aksoy, than it would be deal which would be successful for both clubs but it all depends into player performance in this period of time.

Rizespor has terminated contract with Ali Camdali.

Rizespor has terminated contract which one of its well-known players Ali Camdali and player who is very familiar with Super League and hence it could be seen as unexpected taking account that team is at last place.

Stating that, it needs to be noted that Camdali didnt provide a performance which was expected by him and with team needing to do some important changes for 2nd half of the season it has decided to end contract with him. Rizespor still needs to do successful transfers until end of the mid-season transfer window which would take place on 31st January, as current squad is not in that level even through it does have some strong potentiality to end season at better place than now. Meanwhile, it does look Ali Camdali could find new club at Super League due of his familiarity with a league and overall experience especially from mediocre sides as 2nd half of the season promises to be very competitive.

Rizespor meanwhile, does good job at ending contract which doesnt provide expected performance which it needs urgently but it needs to find also alternatives to have some hopes for 2nd half of the season.
