What happened in Turkish football today? 08/09/2018
Turkish National Team didnt provide great performance against Russia.
Turkish National Team has started Nations League campaign at League B 2nd Group with a loss against Russia and didnt manage to provide very attacking game and has allowed to control game to its opponents even through in some areas it did show positive aspects.
As it was stated beforehand, this period for Turkish National Team has been without doubt a new beginning for them as it aims to reduce its average age and make team which would be able to compete at high level in upcoming years. Even through this project is a good one and would do service to the team, it needs time and also needs to be managed in good manner by head coach Mircea Lucescu. However, it needs to be stated that even through it did show occassionally good aspects it was visible that Russian National Team, which also had young players at its squad, knew better what their were doing and with having key player like Dzyuba ha managed to get a win.In fact, one of the issues at the Turkish National Team and even through good attacking players, it doesnt have this attacking leader which could be seen from factor that goal has came from unexpected player Serdar Aziz. Team needs to improve this performance if it wants to win against Sweden.
Even through side does give some optimism for future, it still behind level which people would be expected from them and needs to do many works to improve as side.
Professional Football Union asks TFF to allow extension of transfer window in exceptional cases.
Turkish Professional Football Union has announced that it has request towards TFF to allow extending transfer window at the critical circumstances as it is done around Europe to defend interests of the players and teams stronger.
This aspects would aim to allow players not to be left without teams when their contracts are terminated and also would allow to freedom of movement of the players at the difficult circumstances. This aspect to some extend would also allow for players to complain and demand less for their salaries from their old clubs as their would be able to play at other teams and will not be left free and without money to some extend. Union also argues that transfer should be allowed in the case when team have some injuries and should be free to transfer players to fulfill their space and hence keep team at competitive level. It is important to state that this would keep teams in strong position and not allow players and teams to be left at difficult situation with such actions are been done around Europe for long period. This is goodwill suggestion decided by Union and should to some extend move teams to go forward at difficult situations and hence keep teams at competitive mode.
Time would show what would be reaction of federation for such suggestion but as been stated this are good suggestion and would do service to Turkish football.
Galatasaray considers to sell Belhanda to UAE and Qatar before transfer window ends there.
Galatasaray are considering to sell its player Youness Belhanda, which both administrative and head coach Fatih Terim unhappy, to either team at UAE or Qatar where transfer window is still continues.
With Youness Belhanda with his undiscipline performance and also poor gameplay has provided impatience with his actions does currently look at solutions how to get rid of the player as it couldnt do during summer transfer window. It does look for now that last hope for the team is being UAE and Qatar where transfer window would be ending at the 2nd half of September and start of October. If team would be able to sell him it would also get high amount of relaxation both financially as it would reduce amount of salary as player recieves high amount of cash and also able to transfer player in mid-season transfer window as it would gain money and would be able to buy due of FFP agreement where club can spend as much as it recieves from transfer. Galatasaray are determined and are expected to have negotiations with different clubs at the region.
Time would show if it would be able to sell Belhanda before mid-season transfer window but if it manages to do it would provide many solutions to the club especially at financial front.
