Besiktas expectations is to end at top spot at its Europa League group.
Besiktas has got into group stage of the Europa League in pretty confident manner as it has managed to beat Partizan with an aggregate scoreline 4:1 scoreline and has got into Group I where it would compete with Genk, Malmo and Sarpsporg 08 and expects not to have serious issue.
Even through it was expected for clubs to get tough opponents during Europa League compare to qualifying stages it needs to be stated, with using an advantage of being at the 1st pot during draw, to get reasonably easy group stage. Even through Besiktas has been criticised a lot during this season, it needs to be stated that it did show high level performance during Partizan 2nd leg game which it has won 3:0 scoreline and similar performance at the Europa League should put them into 1st place at the end of the group stage if it wont recieve surprising result which Turkish teams are known to show at European stages. Still, current team has strong capability to show great performance and taking account that only team which could raise some issues for Besiktas is being Genk, its still high hope as none of those teams are in level of opposititions during last season Champions League.
Besiktas would be glad with this draw and would be looking for group stage games for certain and provide high level performance.
Galatasaray has got best group it could ask for at Champions League but its still tough group.
Galatasaray which has ended at the 4th pot during Champions League group stage could only best hope for the group where it would be able to say I can get through it. And its just got that as it got into best scenario group which includes Lokomotiv Moscow, Porto and Schalke 04.
This is a group as been mentioned, where each side could see real chances to get through to the knockout stages of the tournament and all teams would be able to provide its fighting spirit. Turkish media has called this group as too easy for Galatasaray, but to some extend it is making same mistake of too confidence which later leads to dissapointment but taking account that team entered as stated at 4th pot it did get best scenario with Lokomotiv Moscow especially being best option from 1st pot. Still Galatasaray needs to work and aim to improve as none of those teams are not in level of Alanyaspor and team would need to provide their best performance if their want to get out of the group and hence none of those opponents for sure would let Galatasaray without any fighting. But with head coach Fatih Terim which knows how to motivate players, their can provide this performance which is expected from them.
Galatasaray has best scenario for group stage at Champions League but it wont be easy for them still for sure.
Fenerbahce has got passable group at Europa League.
It needs to be stated that group stage draw both at the Champions League and Europa League has been pretty good for Turkish clubs, and this includes Fenerbahce which has got Anderlecht, Dinamo Zagreb and Spartak Trnava at the group which team could fight for top position.
Fenerbahce as it is known has been pretty busy with transfer fronts and time would show if those newly signed players would provide strength to the side as been promised by sports director Damien Comolli. Because if it would carry on as it did during this performance also during group stage that even with this relatively not hard group, Fenerbahce can experience huge dissapointment so it needs also to improve for upcoming weeks and accept that newly transfers would raise quality to the side at the Europa League and also at league. But in paper, it does look like Fenerbahce will have not very difficult experience at the group as it is capable to beat both Dinamo Zagreb and Anderlecht which are seen as main opponents for top 2 spots at the group.
Fenerbahce needs to improve to show top performance but its not group which should provide much worry to the team hopefully.
