What happened in Turkish football today? 14/09/2018

Galatasaray has won with dominant game against Kasimpasa during 2nd half.

Galatasaray has managed to win with comfortable scoreline against Kasimpasa during Super League 5th week game and has got an important motivation prior to Champions League openning game against Lokomotiv Moscow.

It needs to be stated that in similar manner as it did against Alanyaspor during 3rd week game, Galatasaray has shown pretty poor performance during 1st half but has raised tempo during 2nd half game finding 5 goals with Garry Rodrigues finding 2 goals with 2nd one being very classy goal with great show. In fact, it was interesting to observe that goals has stated coming after heavy rain has been started after 54th minute. Still, Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim needs to find solution for poor performance which has been shown by the team during 1st half game as was seen from Trabzonspor game this could bring some serious issues to the team. Still as been mentioned such a result has been great news for the side prior to Champions League and has shown to everyone that it is capable to show competitive game. With Galatasaray performing like that at each game it could be able to get great results both at Super League and Champions League.

Kasimpasa on other hand did show pretty dissapointing performance with taking account that it was coming out with 100% record prior to game and wasnt able to provide close performance towards Galatasaray in today's game. Its important for team to identify what went wrong during game.

Galatasaray has shown very good performance during 2nd half and has got well-deserved win against Kasimpasa and regain leadership and confidence prior to Lokomotiv Moscow game.

Besiktas would aim to win after losing points for 2 weeks.

Besiktas would be resuming its Super League campaign following national team break, with in-form team Yeni Malatyaspor at its home ground and would be looking to find points after losing 4 points in previous 2 games and regain motivation prior to start of Europa League campaign.

Even through Besiktas did start with 2 wins back to back this season, it has lost to Antalyaspor and later to Bursaspor and hence could be seen as it didnt start season in great manner. Absence of Anderson Talisca who has left team this summer has been felt but it needs to be stated that new transfers especially Karius and Ljaljic are feeling more prepared for the game and are expected to start game at starting 11 this weekend and being at good form which without doubt would make Senol Gunes pretty happy with also Alvaro Negredo staying at club as their were rumours that he would be leaving, even including his not great performance, would lead to absence at the front. Besiktas still would have tough game as it would be playing against opponent which would be coming with strong motivation and confidence due of its good start of season including win against Fenerbahce. Taking account that Besiktas didnt provide great performance at defence in last couple of days its among areas which it needs to focus as at front it seems to be doing good.

Besiktas has lost 2-games back to back and to continue losing points this week especially prior to Europa League and derby against Fenerbahce, it cant afford to do so.

Clubs would need to pay their Turkish players with TL rather than Euro's after 30 days

With Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan statement about payments within country to be made at Turkish Lira rather than with foreign currency could mean that Turkish clubs would need to change payments of its Turkish players into TL.

It is reported that due of confusion and system of deals, this doesnt go into effect towards foreign players who would carry on recieving salaries with Euros. This talks about changing salaries into TL has been going for long time and number of the clubs has arleady made some contracts with number of Turkish players in such base. This decision to some extend would allow clubs to be able to control and save money as exchange rate rise in Turkey leads clubs to lose money more than it gathers. With clubs still having 30-day period for this to go into effect, it has time to study this decision in sense of the law and how it would affect team, players salaries and also reaction of FIFA and UEFA.

This decision if done right should provide some easiness with finances of the cash as it would be not related to exchange rate but how successful it would be would be seen by time.
