What happened in Turkish football today? 29/09/2018

Besiktas has managed to beat Kayserispor with full control of game. 

Besiktas has managed to win Super League game against Kayserispor with 2:0 scoreline without having too much issues and has shown nice controllable game during 90 minutes without allowing Kayserispor to get into many chances.

Prior to game, it was mentioned that Besiktas needed to find ways how to play at its own home field which has been affected by Shakira concert and has led negative performance for the team due of poor field after concert. The best solution for this towards Besiktas has been to show patient and controlable game and aim to convert their chances as game has been progressing. It has managed to do that as it has used chances which it came across from Vagner Love and Ricardo Quaresma. It could be stated that Besiktas didnt provide too much attacking game with many chances and did pass around in pretty slow way but it has managed to win game with such performance. What was more important that once again it has got strong support from its fans during today's game which has led them to win game in such calm manner and has gained an important motivation prior to Europa League game against Malmo on 3rd October.

Kayserispor meanwhile did show pretty poor performance without being able to show any reaction to the game and has been more or less passive mood with only having one good opportunity which was prevented by Loris Karius.

This game has also been 1st game which Besiktas has competed without conceding goal and hence has gained an important motivation for crucial games which would be played next week prior to national team break.

Trabzonspor has shown great comeback against Kasimpasa while losing with 2:0 scoreline.

Trabzonspor has shown memorable comeback during Super League 7th week game as it has managed to win Kasimpasa with 4:2 scoreline while losing game with 2:0 scoreline with help of Hugo Rodallega and Burak Yilmaz goals.

It needs to be stated that Trabzonspor has provided pretty poor performance during 1st half of the game as it couldnt get into game and get upper control with both sides creating chances. As Trabzonspor didnt provide much danger to Kasimpasa, opponents has become much more used to the game and has provided good attacking chances with scoring 2 goals within 7th minute. Still, goal scored by Burak Yilmaz at the end of the 1st half without doubt has been turning point as it has helped to show much more attacking game and showing great return from Hugo Rodallega and Burak Yilmaz and not giving up game with its 2nd half performance despite of losing game. Without doubt after losing two games back to back this win has been very important for them as their had shown this with great character during 2nd half. Meanwhile, it became clear that Burak Yilmaz and Hugo Rodallega top level performance would play an important role for the side to fight for top places as season progreses.

Coming to the Kasimpasa it has started game in very good manner but couldnt manage to continue top level performance at the 2nd half losing its concentration and tempo allowing opponents to create chances and has conceded 4 goals while winning game with 2:0 scoreline.

It was important for Trabzonspor also to win in such manner as it could provide even more confidence and motivation for upcoming games at the season.

Galatasaray has won Erzurumspor despite of poor performance. 

Galatasaray has managed to win Erzurumspor with 1:0 scoreline during Super League 7th week game with providing pretty poor performance during game but still found goal.

It needs to be noted that coming to the game, Galatasaray has been specificially lucky to play in pretty form Erzurumspor which has made high number of the mistakes including providing high number of mistakes with passes which team it didnt manage. It does need to state that Galatasaray did look for faster goal but as it didnt find it, it has reduced tempo of the game which made them look pretty passive. Galatasaray meanwhile did get bad news prior to Champions League 2nd week game against Porto, as Emre Akbaba has become injured during yesterday's game and would be absent for key games in the upcoming weeks. Still, coming to game Galatasaray did manage to get win at its home ground once again and would be travelling to Porto with good mood even through it would play an away game and this time it would be even outside country and it would be curious how away game phobia would affect side on 3rd October.

Still, Galatasaray did manage to get win but it needs to be aware that this performance will not be enough for Porto game at Champions League.

Galatasaray has won Erzurumspor with minumum scoreline despite of having one-sided game.

Galatasaray has managed to win Super League 7th week game with 1:0 scoreline against Erzurumspor, even through it has shown much better performance and has dominated game as opponent has been particularly poor game on the day.

Galatasaray has created high number of the chances during game but didnt manage to find goal until 74th minute as it didnt use high number of good chances which it has got into hand especially when opponent has provided huge passing mistakes during game. This performance of course could be related to the factor that team would be meeting against Porto during Champions Leauge 2nd week game and players mind could have been in mind which could lead to provide calm performance without showing too much focus into the game. With Galatasaray also seeing Erzurumspor, with being at last place, weaker opponent has led them to being over relaxed and too confident. Even through Galatasaray as been mentioned does look to be ones to be close to the win but this relaxation could have cost them 2 points during game. Galatasaray didnt manage to show high fighting spirit during game very likely due of lack of concentration.

Erzurumspor meanwhile didnt provide high performance during today's game and hence has been specifically poor with creating chances and has made high number mistakes and hence best result team could get was draw at the end of the day.

Galatasaray has managed to get confidence prior to Porto game but as been mentioned team didnt show good performance during today's game and ddint provide full focus to the game.

Besiktas main opponent is their own field.

Besiktas is going to meet with Kayserispor during Super League 7th week game as it would be aiming to improve its performance which it has shown against Fenerbahce and would find solutions how to show good performance at its own field which raises issues to them.

It needs to be stated that one of the main opponents during game would not be Kayserispor but field at their own home ground as it has went through lots of issues following Shakira concert during this summer. With Besiktas struggling to show great performance and also losing their 1st game at stadium during this period, Besiktas would be still coming out as favourite even through Kayserispor does come out to the game with good aims and are capable to show surprising result with possibility of losing poor condition of the field to its own advantage. Both Trabzonspor and Kasimpasa would be seeking to regain confidence from game against each other.

Trabzonspor carries on showing unstable performance during this season as it has lost last 2 games and would be aiming to improve their recent performance with meeting against Kasimpasa who seems to be in good conditions, despite of losing last 2 games.

In fact, both sides would see this game as good opportunity to get back to their performance which their had shown at early stages of the season and start getting wins once again at the league.Among last 2 games, Trabzonspor has shown pretty poor performance during those games and does raise question if it has lost that high level strategic game which it has shown earlier especially against Galatasaray. Even through it does show signs of willingness, it seems ot lose its tempo and way of performance with an attacking game toward front of the field and is uncapable hence to get control of the game making lots of mistakes at the back. With Kasimpasa also starting season with 4 out of 4 it does look to be losing that dominance game and hence its good opportunity for both sides to show top level performance or at least get a win for regaining motivation and confidence for upcoming games. Galatasaray are favourites but it wont be an easy game

Turkish Super League would be resumed with 7th week game from 2nd placed Galatasaray and last-placed Erzurumspor as Erzurum team does go changes with its head coach while Galatasaray would play prior to Champions League crucial game against Porto.

It needs to be noted with those outcomes and also general standings that Galatasaray would be coming out as strong favourite for the game and in fact does have an opportunity to go for rotation at its squad prior to Porto game. Stating that Galatasaray would aim to continue its home dominance which it shows since last season and also let fans to forget about losing to Akhisarspor during last week. Erzurumspor it needs to be admitted does show some good performance in this season but due of lacking quality has trouble at winning games and even through changes of the coach it would be aiming to show top level performance possibly even more. Therefore, it is expecting for Galatasaray to win game but it wont be an easy one and its unclear how hard Fatih Terim would go with changing starting 11.

Germany got hosting rights for Euro 2024. 

Following votes provided by UEFA delegates for Euro 2024 hosting rights, Germany has gathered 12 votes from possible 16 and has got right to host tournament as it has fought for that position with Germany.

Even through Turkish public and pundits did expect for Turkey to get hosting rights it was visible that it would been difficult to get those rights as historical relationships with Germany and UEFA has been strong. When it was added that political situation was added for criteria process, it was clear that Turkey also would been very difficult. Adding to the factor, that Turkey was getting closer to the UEFA CEO Aleksandr Ceferin, it was clear that this move also didnt provide much move. Meanwhile, it needs to be also noted that Turkish side keep emphasising that it is interesting that Champions League, Europa League and other tournaments did take place in Turkey but not Euro, but it needs to be reminded that one is Istanbul another is whole country and Turkey with all of its effort didnt manage to convince UEFA that as whole country it can host tournament at high level.

Even through as always this decision could be seen as huge dissapointment it was expecting and it was always hard for Turkey to get those rights for Euro 2024.

Erzurumspor has made deal with Mehmet Ozdilek. 

Erzurumspor has announced that it has an agreement to appoint coach Mehmet Ozdilek as position of head coach after it has sacked Mehmet Altiparmak yesterday due of poor start of the season despite of good performance.

It needs to be noted that among available coaches which would fit to the budget of Erzurumspor, Mehmet Ozdilek is being good option as he does have some experience at Super League in his career. But task of Mehmet Ozdilek its not too easy as team players are unfortunately not in level of Super League even through their are good players with how games played shown that are in good intentions and want for team to succeed. Therefore, Mehmet Ozdilek does have difficult task to work with skill levels of the players and make sure that their can improve with performance wise. Meanwhile, it needs to be reminded that Ozdilek will not be with team against Galatasaray on 28th September as sports director Zafer Akyol would take his place.

As been mentioned, Mehmet Ozdilek could be good option for Erzurumspor with all circumstances and could move team forward from now on.

UEFA would decide host country of Euro 2024 on 27th September.

Host country of the Euro2024 would be announced tomorrow at Swiss city of Nice where there is two candidates fighting to get rights which are Turkey and Germany. It needless to state that Turkish delegacy is taking this selection very seriously.

The mood in Turkish society and media is that time has come for Turkey to host European Champions on 2024 and despite of Germany being football nation and have strong facilities, it believes that it can win this bid. During recent years, Turkish Football Federation and Turkish government has been working on creating new stadiums around country and are reported to be in better and modern position compare to Germany. Another strong factor, is that Turkish public in general wants for this tournament to take place in Turkey and have shown this support by fans in different occassions. Only problem which Turkey can find, but very significant is political situation in the country as many around Europe does see Turkey not being very democratic nation and this prejudice could affect to choosing host country during selection process. Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that Turkish government with leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes that it can get this right this time.

Decision would be made on 27th September and Turkey with Germany and also whole world would be waiting to find out where European Championship with take place on 2024.

Erzurumspor has sacked its head coach Mehmet Altiparmak.

Erzurumspor has sacked its head coach Mehmet Altiparmak after 6th week as team didnt manage to win any game so far during this season at Super League and are located at the last place of the table.

Erzurumspor among other promoted sides has started season with high aim taking account that their had been promoted at each stage by each season and did have lots of optimism at the side. Taking account that team does provide some positive performance it is having trouble to win games and in some times to provide winning touch as it occassionally did play by winning game including against Besiktas. But with Erzurumspor only getting 2 points and not fullfilling its expectation club had no other option than to end contract with Mehmet Altiparmak hence becoming 3rd team to terminate contract with its head coach this season. It does need to be stated that Erzurumspor squad is in good condition and have some good players especially from Africa who are capable to move team from relegation zone even through being at top half of table is not that simple.  Therefore, new coach who would be appointed would have some factors to push himself forward when he joins team.

It is reported that Mehmet Ozdilek is main candidate for new post as Erzurumspor coach and is expected to be announced at short period of time.

Fenerbahce has improved against Besiktas but its still not enough.

Future of the Fenerbahce head coach Phillip Cocu continues to be main talking point at the team and following Besiktas game some football fans are pushing adminsitration to appoint Ersun Yanal as club's new head coach.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc still states that their must be patience given towards Phillip Cocu as statistically and his experience at PSV Eindhoven is still similar and he has managed after 1st season to bring 3 league titles to the team. Even through Fenerbahce didnt provide great performance against Besiktas at overall, there was still some good improvement with game especially during 1st half and has given signs that team is going into right direction and could be improved. Ali Koc did state clearly that untill unusual circumstances he would not end contract with Phillip Cocu until mid-season and hence everyone should accept him to stay. Phillip Cocu did show some improvement against Besiktas and slowly gets into ideal starting 11 squad which should provide improvement at game. Another factor, that despite of worst start of season in 10 years time he is still 7 points behind leaders and does have opportunity to catch up to leadership race.

Fenerbahce does need time as it had changed many things at team but it did lose lots of points so its need to find solutions as soon as possible.

What happened in Turkish football today? 25/09/2018

Fenerbahce still needs to improve many things with its performance.

Fenerbahce did manage to show improvement with its performance during Super League 6th week game against Besiktas but still it needs to be admitted that it is still not at the best level as it has failed to win opponents who were not at best condition.

Fenerbahce did show pretty good organised game especially during 1st half and even through it did play with slow tempo which was likely main negative factor for the side it was one which was creating chances including Andre Ayew shot out of goal and Hasan Ali Kaldirim shot which has come from post. In fact, Hasan Ali Kaldirim has provided best performance during the game being specifically focussed at finding chances and playing pretty strong attacking game including shot which was discussed earlier. Fenerbahce however has made high number of the mistakes with passes and an area which Phillip Cocu, who is been heavily criticised lately, to solve those issues. Still, even through Fenerbahce did show some important improvements during game it is still far from perfect performance despite of 1:1 draw.

Phillip Cocu need to find solutions of Fenerbahce problems as soon as possible as his main defender club CEO Ali Koc patience might not continue far too long as fans call for resignation.

Besiktas got 1 point even through of poor performance

On other hand and taking account of potentiality of Besiktas as the side it needs to be noted that it has shown very poor performance in yesterday's game and has really only one chance which was great goal scored by Ryan Babel.

In similar manner as Fenerbahce, Besiktas has failed to raise tempo of the game even through their had even more harder as their didnt get control of the ball for most amount of the game and was lucky to find goal. In fact, good performance by Loris Karius who meanwhile does fulfill has expectations so far at team, did manage for team not to lose game. However, another player which showed great performance was Atiba Hutchinson whose in his older age and also lack of gametime this season due of injury has provided best performance at the team and was among main prevention for Fenerbahce to provide much more effective game during day. Still, Besiktas has been pretty far from their strong position and was pretty happy since for the game to be ended with 1:1 scoreline taking account how their performed on the day and does need to improve its performance if it wants to show top level game.

Still, Besiktas does find itself 2 points behind league leaders Basaksehirspor and hence does manage to stay at the league leaders race for now at least.

Akhisarspor has appointed Cihat Arslan for 1+1 years. 

Akhisarspor has appointed its old head coach Cihat Arslan for 1+1 year after 2 year absence, as Arslan has been really was starting point which pushed team forward with its performance.

With Akhisarspor showing good performance during last 2 games against Krasnodar and Galatasaray after Safet Susic has left, Cihat Arslan has managed to join team where he has some good experiences and in fact has played an important role and structure of the team which has won last season Turkish Cup among other successes. Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that with appointment, right now at the league Fenerbahce head coach Phillip Cocu is only foreign coach, and this league does seem to be played among Turkish coaches and might announce which of them are doing good form. It does need to be stated that with Arslan being familiar with league and team he has good reasons to push this team forward and show good performance at the Super League and at least show performance at Europa League which would make everyone proud.

Cihat Arslan comes to the team which shown poor performance so far this season but right now is on rise and Arslan needs to find ways to carry on and improve this performance for long term.

What happened in Turkish football today? 24/09/2018

Derby game between both sides hasnt been at high quality as both sides didnt want to lose. 

Turkish Super League 6th week game between Fenerbahce and Besiktas has ended with 1:1 scoreline as both teams did come out to the game either to win or not lose and has provided high focussed game but in same time it wasnt been high level game.

Fenerbahce did actually look to be side which wanted to win game more compare to Besiktas as it has controlled ball and has playing forward seeking game looking for chances and aiming to create them. However, with having lack of organised performance of the Fenerbahce during game it didnt manage to find goal until 71st minute when Andre Ayew has equalised scoreline. Fenerbahce still however didnt provide very strong defence and midfield performance as it made some mistakes with passes especially it was seen from Roman Neustadtner. In fact, it could be stated that with tactically performance Fenerbahce has provided one of its good performances of the season but still has shown lackness of effectiveness of the team. Meanwhile, with teams losing all around games during this season including at the top with Fenerbahce losing high amount of points it still is 7 point behind league leaders Basaksehirspor and its not out of league leaders and still stay at race for leadership.
Besiktas on other side did provide much worser performance at the game looking to be more defending and have trouble at creating chances even through when it did go forward it looked to be pretty organised and has better understanding with players possibly for better known system.

Meanwhile, it also needs to be stated that Ryan Babel has been scored of the best goals of the season so far and also could best of the the whole season including that it was scored at the derby game. As game was played as same tempo which wasnt very high, Besiktas has managed to stay at the game as it managed to stay at the game from start to the end. Still, Besiktas has been providing better understanding with each other as the team and hence ha controlled game in much better manner. Once again Ryan Babel has helped them to get point with great shot as Besiktas despite of all positive factors still had trouble to get a win or draw with its performance.

Both teams has shown great wanting and focus to the game but did trouble to turn game into high quality due of both teams focussing not to lose game at such crucial derby game.

Galatasaray has lost another away game this season.

Galatasaray has provided pretty dissapointing performance during Super League 6th week game against Akhisarspor as it continues away game phobia which has started during last season and has also affected 2 away games this season out of 3.

It does need to be stated that Galatasaray did start game in pretty good way with creating chances during 1st half and has focussed to find goals but didnt have enough tempo during the game which hence led them not being to find goal and in fact has got even a good opportunity during end of the 1st half with penalty chances but didnt manage to convert it with poor shot of Garry Rodrigues. In fact, Rodrigues has provided surprising poor performance after showing good games in last 2 games. Coming to the 2nd half, Galatasaray has been shown specifically poor performance with allowing Akhisarspor to control game as their want to which led them to find 3 goals. Meanwhile, Akhisarspor has carried on top performance especially top clubs as it has won its 1st game this season with caretaker coach in deserved manner most importantly. Galatasaray still has ongoing away game phobia which Fatih Terim does have some serious issue to solve at and he would still need to work on that for sure.

Galatasaray has lost its 2nd away game out of 3 and does bring this issue with it and taking account that next away game would be against Porto at Champions League its need to find ways to solve this issue.

Rizespor has appointed Okan Buruk for 1 season.

Rizespor has announced that it has appointed Okan Buruk as club's head coach which would be joining team which did start season pretty poorly and are showing not great game, and Buruk does have difficult task to bring team back but with start of season he has enough time.

As all of the promoted teams to top league, Rizespor main priority is to make sure that team would stay at the top division and it would be focussing to achieve that with also showing good performance. Unfortunately, Ibrahim Uzulmez wasnt able to provide this level of performance as club didnt manage to win any games so far this season which led for ending career with him. Okan Buruk hence would have a difficult period as Rizespor is not showing good performance and also the mood at the team is pretty poor so he would need to do many things to move team forward during this season. Stating that, Buruk does have great experience with Akhisarspor who did bring team to the Europa League with Turkish Cup glory and would be able to move team forward as he has capacity to do that. Stating that as always time would show how he would succeed to do that with Rizespor.

Therefore, Okan Buruk does have difficult task with Rizespor but he has capability to achieve that even through it might not be an easy task at all.

Galatasaray continues its poor performance at away games. 

Galatasaray continues at providing poor performance at its away games as it has lost to Akhisarspor during Super League 6th week game with 3:0 scoreline as opponents has won its 1st game at Super League and also 1st official game after Super Cup against Galatasaray.

Without doubt, Galatasaray did come out to the game with focus to win game but it was clear that Akhisarspor has seen this game with its new caretaker coach Cem Kavcak was aiming to win game as it has started playing effective and organised game. Returning to Galatasaray, it was shown performance far away from its dominant game which it has shown against Alanyaspor and Lokomotiv Moscow in last games. Therefore, it could be stated that Galatasaray seems to have trouble to show high quality and dominant game at its home ground which has started during last season and this has come out from away game. Galatasaray meanwhile has also got penalty chance at the end of the 1st half but Garry Rodrigues poor shot to the goal didnt allow them to get chance to get leadership and manage to control 2nd half even more and has become turning point. Despite of that it does need to be admitted that Galatasaray didnt also provide great game in 1st half even through it was better than in 1st half arguably.

Akhisarspor meanwhile has shown a great performance during today's game with showing an organised attacks and without showing any fear from factor that their are opponents Galatasaray. Akhisarspor has also shown impressive performance taking account that their had 3 days go against Krasnodar at Europa League which was hard game. Trabzonspor has showed poor game against Goztepe.

Trabzonspor has begun showing poor performance once again during last 2 weeks of the Super League as this time it has lost Goztepe with 2:1 scoreline without providing any high level performance during 1st half.

It does need to be noted that Trabzonspor did improve its performance during 2nd half of the game but until that time it could get towards game allowing Goztepe to get full control of the game and allowing opponent player Yasin Oztekin to get into position and score two simple goals with 2nd goal being mainly mistake of Onur Kivrak, who has accepted his fault following game also. Trabzonspor did improve their performance during 2nd half but still it wasnt enough for them to turn around game and hence has only with single goal. Stating that it does need to be mentioned that handball of Burak Yilmaz, which led for Hugo Rodallega goal not to be counted at the end of the game did recieve high amount of criticism but it was grey decision and referee after watching VAR has decided not to count it. Still, Trabzonspor needs to identify why it showing such poor performance and improve for next game against Kasimpasa.

Trabzonspor after couple of the good games has reduced with its performance and has lost games and once again finds itself at the critical situation to be at title race in early stages of the league.

Fenerbahce and Besiktas expects to be exciting game with high tension. 

First big 3 Istanbul derby during this Super League season would be taking place between
Fenerbahce and Besiktas during 6th week game as both teams has played Europa League games on 20th September with sides getting mixed of the results.

Coming to the watching at the performance of the both sides, it needs to be stated that Besiktas does come out with better form, performance and motivation which without doubt would affect to the outcome of the game however with game playing at Fenerbahce stadium it does have strong advantage as home games always pushes them forwards due of the supporters. It needs also to be added that Fenerbahce would be coming out to an important game for them and also head coach Phillip Cocu as the loss could throw out of the title race as early as on 6th week of the season. Trabzonspor has provided poor performance against Goztepe.

Trabzonspor has lost 2nd game back to back as it has lost to Goztepe during Super League 6th week game and has provided pretty poor performance even through it has improved its performance in 2nd half but it wasnt enough to turn around game.

Trabzonspor has provided unexpectedly poor performance during 1st half of the game and has allowed Goztepe to control game and create chances and tempo. It needs to be stated that Trabzonspor did lose its aim to dominate and provide pressure towards its opponents during game and hence has lost its speed and level of performance compare to its performance at the start of the season.Even through it has improved during 2nd half of the game and has created high amount of chances, it didnt manage to get that dominant performance even through it did have disallowed goal in last minute of the game which wasnt allowed due of hand ball by Burak Yilmaz. Trabzonspor needs to find ways to how improve its performance which it has shown against Galatasaray where it has provided very good game but right now it does look that it has lost its dominant performance right now, and hence does have loss of concentration and this aspect which needs to be improved. Meanwhile, this was also 1st game of Burak Yilmaz since recovering from injury and also crises which he has with a club and did show good performance during 2nd half.

Goztepe meanwhile has shown great game especially during 1st half and has dominated game during that period and with help of two goals of Yasin Oztekin it has managed to win game, but it did show lack of concentration during 2nd half.

Trabzonspor has been pretty poor during last 2 weeks and its important to figure by head coach Unal Karaman and find reasons so it can solve internal issues which side is at right now.

Galatasaray would have tough game against Akhisarspor even if it comes out as favourite.

Following confident win against Lokomotiv Moscow, Galatasaray would now focus towards Super League 6th week game against Akhisarspor which would be also coming to the game following loss to Krasnodar at Europa League.

Besiktas stadium Vodafone Park keeps on recieving criticism for its field which has happened following concert of the Shakira and club has announced that it would be renewing field after Super League 7th week game and it would take 22 days for this process to take place.

Due of poor field conditions, Besiktas has trouble at providing its kind of game which is to control ball and provide faster tempo at the game due of poor condition of the field. Main reason for this field has been concert Shakira which took place at stadium in summer and has created many issues where players has trouble to control its field and has trouble at winning games it own games. Right now it does look club would be focussed to renew its field especially after next week game and use international break to improve its field. Right now it is known that Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has been unhappy with this situation and did complain to Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman due of rumours believing that in this condition the concert should not be taking place at 1st place. Fenerbahce has provided very poor performance during Dinamo Zagreb game.

Fenerbahce has provided an incredible and unexpected poor performance against Dinamo Zagreb during Europa League 1st week game and has played very slow football without able to get control of the game.

It did look from Fenerbahce performance that it didnt manage to get towards the game from start until end of the game and has allowed Dinamo Zagreb to control game as their want and it was visible that Istanbul side players didnt try to prevent Dinamo players during defensive game for most amount of the game especially during conceded goals as their have managed to get to  dangerous zones. Quite naturally following game Fenerbahce head coach Phillip Cocu has recieved high amount of criticism for unable to motivate players and let them provide great game tactically. Stating that, it wasnt only problem and quality of players but mainly due of Fenerbahce players not having any willingness to provide any performance during the day. This indifference from Fenerbahce without doubt has raised high amount of questions from supporters and does raise problem of how team would be performing at very important game against Besiktas during Super League 6th week game.

It needs to state meanwhile that Fenerbahce has qualified to Europa League knockout stages each time it has participated at the tournament but has lost its openning games so there is hope for upcoming 5 games.

Besiktas has won Sarpsborg with 3:1 scoreline with their performance during 2nd half.

One of the possible views of the game has been performance of Adem Ljajic as he does show he has skill of providing great assists during game and has great vision.

Still, Besiktas has managed to open Europa League campaign with crucial win as it aims to go until final of this season competition and do achieve that it couldnt lose points at this game.

Akhisarspor looked good against Krasnodar despite of loss. 

Despite of losing to Krasnodar at Europa League 1st week game with 1:0 scoreline and coming out to the group as weakest link for certain, it has provided a great attacking game against their opponents creating number of great chances.

In fact, conceding only one goal from Krasnodar with taking account that their much more experienced at this field could be seen as good outcome for them. Fenerbahce has started its Europa League with very poor performance. 

Fenerbahce has started Europa League campaign with very dissapointing manner as it has lost to Dinamo Zagreb with 4:1 scoreline with providing very poor performance and not being able to raise its tempo during whole game.

Fenerbahce during whole game has provided very poor performance playing very slowly without controlling neither tempo and passing around which has helped Dinamo Zagreb to control level of the game and find chances and goals as game has progressed. Their seems to be quality factor at the Fenerbahce with players not providing fighting spirit during the game at all and has failed get into game at all. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce was coming out as stronger favourite with level of the players compare to Croatian side, but Dinamo Zagreb has provided much more better performance. Only period of the performance during start of the 2nd half has been started game very effectively and has found goal with Roman Neustadner and has carried on at some moments but has ended this performance. In fact, only time when Fenerbahce has shown an attacking game it has found goal apart of that it didnt show any performance to show that team could have won game. Fenerbahce does look to be team without providing an effective game.

Dinamo Zagreb did provide great game with much more organised and has managed to get goals easily when their wanted and has dominated game and without doubt has got well deserved win against Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce carries on poor performance in this season and does look like it would have very difficult period at the game against Besiktas on 24th September and this performance would lead to Besiktas an easy win.

Besiktas has started Europa League with a win against Sarbsporg 08.

Besiktas has started its Europa League campaign against Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 with 3:1 scoreline even through it took them to wait for 2nd half to start finding goals and get full dominance of the game.

Games against teams like Sarbsborg can always be tough ones as those sides even through are expected to be at worser quality their are capable of providing unsuspecting surprise due of limited knowledge about them. And it does look like Besiktas couldnt get much into the mood of the game as even through it did found some good chances but didnt manage to turn them. With Ryan Babel entering to the field during 2nd half the team has improved its performance after that and has shown much attacking game with Babel finding goal at the 51st minute. With finding 1st goal and playing at home without doubt Besiktas has become more confident against its poor side and has provided much more better attacking game with finding goals later from Roco and also Jeremain Lens. Only down side that it has conceded at the additional time right prior to the end of the game but at least it has found an important win at game which it needed to win and started campaign where it aims to get to the final with a win.

Sarpsborg on other hand has shown pretty reasonable performance during its 1st game at competition and did control game during 1st half and also found goal. Still quality factor between side was visible as game has ended.

Besiktas did start competition with 3 points and would now look forward for Fenerbahce derby game at the league on 24th September.

Akhisarspor did provide some positive view despite of loss to Krasnodar. 

Akhisarspor without doubt has come out to very historical game for them as their had met against
Krasnodar which is much more experienced to their opponents and has lost game with minumum scoreline of 1:0.

Experience factor did play an important role and also taking account that Akhisarspor did play with caretaker coach did make them to come out at the game in pretty bad condition and hence ending game with minumum scoreline with all this circumstances will not especially be seen as bad result for them. It needs to be also noted that it also has created some chances as the game was progressing and did show some brave football wanting to win. With this taking account and also being weakest team at the group, this are an important view which side has shown during game and gave signs that their would be aiming to get best from the competitions. It needs ot be also stated that Yevhen Seleznyov with his experience and also familiar with Russian football did show some good performance and did take role of the leader in pretty successful manner for sure. So Akhisarspor did show some confident game.

- He would open all criminal cases who made foul language statements against old Besiktas CEO and club.

Galatasaray has won confidently against Lokomotiv Moscow at home ground.

Galatasaray has managed to get a confident win against Lokomotiv Moscow during Champions League 1st week game with 3:0 scoreline at the game where team has shown full organised game from start until end.

It needs to be also stated that Galatasaray player Garry Rodrigues has shown once again that he would be main attacker player during this season despite of being midfielder and does look to be for now at least to be alternative for Bafetembi Gomis. His goal against Lokomotiv Moscow which opened scoreline has shown that in very clear manner and has continued to create great chances as game has been progressed with high level performance. It needs to be stated that usual leading players of the team in fact has played most important role with this 3:0 win as Yuto Nagatomo has also provided great game as always with creating high number of the chances and has shown great speed. Fenerbahce needs to improve its performance to get a win against Dinamo Zagreb

Fenerbahce would be starting its Europa League campaign against Dinamo Zagreb where it would be accepting to be strong favourite, but it needs to be mentioned that its need to improve its performance from previous games as current Fenerbahce level of game will not be enough.

Fenerbahce as been stated would be coming out as favourite for this game as both games has come from Champions League qualifiers but Dinamo Zagreb would be aware that their opponents have some issues with performance and hence would be focussing to provide an attacking game.
Therefore, Fenerbahce needs to improve its performance and tempo and able to control ball and look for chances much more often. Win against Konyaspor during Super League 5th week might not be great game but it has provided strong motivation and it should be turned into that and not as sign of reference point and relaxation as team is still far away from their top performance for certain. Dinamo Zagreb therefore would be coming with full confidence believing it can get a win against their opponents, a factor which Fenerbahce needs to be aware and also provide strong defence and great attacking game to end game with result which their seeking for.

Fenerbahce hence needs to improve its performance to get a win against Dinamo Zagreb for certain.

Besiktas would aim to not only win against Sarsborg 08 but also with great performance. 

Besiktas are aiming to start its Europa League campaign with a comfortable win against Sarpsborg 08, which are weakest link at this group and for certain would be aiming not to allow to have surprise result from the game.

Besiktas still didnt manage to get a high level tempo with its performance including Super League game against Yeni Malatyaspor Super League game and would hence for certain aim among win to show great game and get important motivation and confidence prior to Fenerbahce game.
