What happened in Turkish football today? 23.07.2016
Besiktas has taken Jose Sosa out of its training camp squad.
Besiktas player Jose Sosa has become 2nd player who would be leaving his team after Mario Gomez with being close at signing deal with Milan and using terror excuse to leave the team.
Jose Sosa didnt attend to last 4 training sessions at Austrian pre-season camp which arleady has shown by such a move have shown signs that he doesnt have any intentions at the staying at the team for the next season. Besiktas has announced that Jose Sosa has been taken away from side and will be moving to the Istanbul where he would continue his training until possibly making deal to Milan.
Besiktas administrators during the day has announced that he would be recieving punishments which needs to be given after such a move he shown. Jose Sosa as been mentioned has used terror threat excuse but it doesnt look like it was actual reason and the main reason lies for not recieving raise of salary.
It is clear that Istanbul is not one of the most safest places to be right now but there is threat around Europe so using terror threat as an excuse doesnt look too believable from perspective of players.
Monaco will not accept Fenerbahce supporters for Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game.
Monaco government has announced that it will not accept any Turkish and Fenerbahce fans to the game playerd in Monaco between 1st August and 3rd August for the Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Monaco.
The reason which been used by Monaco administrators was due of safety precations of the state of emergency which has been set at the France after recent terror attacks in Paris and Nice. This decision meanwhile does raise question if Fenerbahce would provide return move for the 1st leg game to be played on 27th July even through so far there is no official announcement made by a team. However, it is expected that response will not be friendly one and could be read as chance by Monaco to create advantage for its games against Fenerbahce.
It is very expected that Fenerbahce administration will not be happy with such a decision and would surely try to reverse this decision in upcoming days.
Galatasaray are close to transfer Wolfsburg player Bas Dost.
Galatasaray are right now are having intense negotiations with Wolfsburg player Bas Dost who is reported to be close for the transfer at the team.
According to reports, Wolfsburg has requested 4 million euro as a salary while Bas Dost has requested 2 million euro, the numbers which could be paid by Galatasaray with its current finance situation. Without participating at the UEFA competitions and aiming for league title next season, Bas Dost could be a great option as he will not be looking much for a team to be in Europe but has enough quality to strengthen the team and make them strong enough for Turkish league. The following transfer would surely make a team much stronger for next season.
Galatasaray is expected to give more focus in upcoming days for the transfer and we could hear some quality transfers in upcoming days from team.
