What happened in Turkish football today? 09.06.2016
Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek defends fine system he introduced for the players.
Galatasaray new system of fine to the players for regarding of recieving unneccesary cards during the game carries on staying as top issue for the team with Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek feeling that he needs to defend system with making statement today.
Most important note from the statement was underlining this fines are not meant to give signs that those players are not unwanted and stating it is fair system as the team always need to pay for those behaviour at the field. So it would make total sense for players to also pay the share of the fine for this behaviour stating that main aim was to reduce those cards taking place at first hand during the game. Ozbek states that in total there were 14 players who has recieved fine and hence its foolish to give focus only to star players like Wesley Sneijder and Fernando Muslera. It is important that the aim is not make players as villain but in same time it will keep those fines.
Actually this system of fines could be very effective however it does come at bad moment as current team administration is very unpopular and could recieve criticism everywhere even when their are correct.
Fenerbahce could have direct negotiations with Valbuena on 16th July.
Fenerbahce new target for the transfer, or at least main target, after signing Liverpool player Martin Skrtel looks to be Lyon player Mathieu Valbuena about which Fenerbahce looks to be determined to transfer.
In fact, Lyon CEO Jean Michael Aulas has implied that the reason why Fenerbahce has asked Lyon to play pre-season friendly game against them on 16th July was also to have negotiations about the player in Istanbul. Valbuena even through is among leading players at French side there are some signs that this tranfer might take place as team might strongly consider selling him. So with Lyon arriving Istanbul it does give upper hand to the Fenerbahce from its international rivals with transfer negotiations of Valbuena. This transfer could help Fenerbahce but as usual it is hard to know before season start how he would perform as it does seem to be with Gregory van del Wiel and Roman Neustader.
Fenerbahce in this season seems to grow into more players who could provide big role at being more effective rather with the names and even through their are known names in football world their are not superstars, but strong enough to make team effective for Super League.
Trabzonspor needs to sell Oscar Cardozo for its own good.
It does look right now that each big 4 team has a risk at losing its superstars either due of the will of players or unsatisfaction of the club from last season. Among those Trabzonspor player Oscar Cardozo who has negotiations right now with his old club Benfica.
With Trabzonspor not able to provide top football last two seasons it has also put performance down of Oscar Cardozo. In fact it is argumentative if Oscar Cardozo didnt play his best football because of his focus or mainly because of poor overall performance of the club. In either case, Cardozo with some moments of perfection hardly shown his best football in Turkey and could be stated that lacked to provide memorable place at the league. Taking account how he performed at Benfica beforehand it is dissapointing and for now it looks likely that he will return to his previous team.
If he does return this could be correct choice both for Trabzonspor as it will need to provide better football and for Cardozo as it looks that he is unable to provide his best football for whatever reasons.
