Mehmet Topal extends his contract with Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce will officially announce extension of contract of the team player Mehmet Topal tomorrow and hence has managed to keep one of its key player at the team even through it was pretty close to end contract with him in similar manner as it did with Gokhan Gonul earlier this season.
The news of extension of contract with the player has been announced next day when he got injured in the pre-season friendly game against Voluntari and in fact injury seems to be serious one as it been announced that he will not play for rest of the pre-season friendy games this summer. When negotiations between Topal and Gonul were taking place in end of May there was risk that due of misagreements of salary both players could be sold to their main rivals. With Gokhan Gonul going to Besiktas, there was strong rumours that Topal would be returning to Galatasaray. However, Mehmet Topal has chosen to stay at his current club and make a deal with Fenerbahce offer compare to Gonul.
Mehmet Topal is been one of the key players at the squad for past years and it was right decision to keep him at the squad for both parties. He would surely be among key players for next season.
Barcelona considers to loan its player Arda Turan to Fenerbahce.
There is rumours going around in Turkish and Spanish media that La Liga giants Barcelena are considering to sell its Turkish player Arda Turan, with Fenerbahce being strong team to get him. In fact, there is talks that Barcelona has set price as 25 million euro but such an amount being too high it is now considering to loan him.
It will be hard of course for Fenerbahce, with FFP condition mainly, to purchase Arda Turan with such a fee but there is talks that it is closest to give good amount for loaning him. Even through this news is true, it does need to be remembered that Arda Turan did state several times that by being true Galatasaray fan he will not be playing with Fenerbahce or any other team in Turkey. Arda Turan is known to have good relations with Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim and have met publicly several times, but being loyal Galatasaray supporter is very unlikely to chose such a path. But with rumours going around it still cant be ignored as an option.
Another factor which does make this transfer unlikely is that Arda Turan has always been complaining about way media treats him back in Turkey and would likely to be loaned to English club instead.
Gokhan Tore demands full payment of his salary from Besiktas.
Besiktas player Gokhan Tore has demanded for payment of his previous unpaid salaries and this request could become big barrier for his loan to West Ham United. Tore had stated to the club that he will not sign loan contract if he doesnt recieve payments.
According to media, Gokhan Tore is determined quite rightly to get his payments and providing such an option doesnt provide much choice for Besiktas rather than to pay him as soon as possible. Besiktas as expected would try to make a deal with his manager but it does look from outside, that Tore is one who has control of situation and plays a deciding role of his future. Besiktas is arleady made mistake by not paying him on time which Tore demands for and right now fights for his right to get paid.
This issue would be certainly solved and Tore who is arleady in England and is training with West Ham United will sign loan contract but question is when and in how it would be solved.
