What happened in Turkish football today? 07/10/2022

Fenerbahce showed confident game against AEK Larnaca.

Fenerbahce continues with showing strong and confident attacking game as it dominated both possession of the ball and also attacking the game with only letting one dangerous chance from AEK Larnaca.

Fenerbahce did come out to the game with providing strong attacking game and also confident defensive game as getting good result would provide an important advantage not only for getting to knockout stages but also ending group stage at top spot. It needs to be mentioned that AEK Larnaca due of being 1 point behind opponent prior to game, were expecting to provide much more attacking game but has been pretty passive while opposite has been true for Fenerbahce. Only downside from Fenerbahce perspective is that it could have scored more goals but still this is being positive result as it got ahead from goal difference from Rennes which ended game with 2:1 scoreline against Dynamo Kyiv.

Fenerbahce right now is win behind from getting knockout stages and could focus now with getting 1st spot for rest of the group stage.

Trabzonspor didnt provide convincing game against Monaco.

Trabzonspor does continue showing dissapointing performance both at Europe and Turkey as it has lost with 3:1 scoreline to Monaco at away game and has put its chances for knockout stages arrive but difficult.

It is true that red card which been seen at 10th minute of the game has affected negatively to the side but Monaco did look to be much better side in overall and was much hunger for the game which could be seen as it wanted to turn around its group stage competition. Trabzonspor didnt provide good defensive game with letting Monaco to get into positions without much doubt which could be seen from conceded goals too. Trabzonspor might be getting some wins in recent weeks when looking in general but it does need to improve its performance as it would be having issues with strong sides.

Trabzonspor didnt realise stabilise its top level performance and it would need to find solutions to this issue.

Basaksehirspor drawn against opponent which it has degraded

Basaksehirspor didnt manage to win weakest link of its group RFS as it ended game with goalless draw which kept them at the top of the group and without conceding.

Among of not providing very dominating game, despite of being one mainly to create chances, it sadly has led for excuses factors after game which been used especially in Turkey long time ago. It is true that their been stronger side and cant be compared to RFS, with all respect to them, and field condition has been poor but degrading its opponent its not very good condition. In addition, this statements from Emre Belozoglu and some players shows that it did take opponent lightly and didnt focus much to game.

If you are being much stronger side and not being able to get win you should be blaming yourself and not finding excuses or team would not go ahead for sure.
