Derby game has ended with goalless draw with both sides showing compact game
First Istanbul derby game of this season has been ended with 0:0 scoreline as game has been played at pretty low speed which led for lack of chances for both sides and been mainly focussing into controlling ball.
It needs to be stated that from Besiktas perspective, it has been struggling for most amount of the game to get upper hand and control of the game but has provided strong attacking game in the end of the game especially with good Wout Weghorst headers at Fenerbahce goal but couldnt get into goal area or overpassing Altay Bayindir. Besiktas still to some extend did has some issues to show whole dominance especially during 1st half not being able to pass artificial offside performance which Fenerbahce has done in duration of 1st half and mainly been main reason why Besiktas didnt get into ahead as one goal has been disallowed due of offside. Positive side of the Besiktas during this game that it has shown strong fighting spirit towards end of the game and has shown that it wanted to win game which would affect positively to confidence.
It needs to be mentioned that when looking at the game of both sides, it could be noted that both sides didnt manage to get whole dominance of the game but Fenerbahce accept of end of the 1st half did look like side which had better control. Fenerbahce especially has shown for most part some strong defensive game without letting much Besiktas to get chances. However, towards end of the 2nd half there were signs of tiredness from Fenerbahce players as it did make some mistakes both at defence and attack. Another factor which did struck that Fenerbahce somehow has been focussed so much into draw result, that it wasted time when it had throw-in at close point to Besiktas goal which made Jorge Jesus angry after such good chances. Still, one of the positive aspects from Fenerbahce view that it had focussed into organising game especially in defence and looks to be good compact side.
Both Fenerbahce and Besiktas has provided strong and compact defensive game which has led for lack of chances when looking in overall as draw outcome hence should not be seen as unexpected outcome in this game.
Galatasaray has some issues in the attack
Galatasaray has ended Super League 8th week game against one of the most toughest away opponents Adana Demirspor with goalless draw even through it did play with an extra player on the field.
It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did create lots of opportunities especially after getting an extra men but it has become once again clear that it does lack of strong attacking game and last touches on the field. Even through there were some signs of improvement following national team break, it does need to be mentioned that it still didnt get into level which it has seeked for. Both sides meanwhile during whole game has created lots of opportunities and Adana Demirspor could have got win during whole game but Fernando Muslera has made important saves. It would be dissapointing for Adana Demirspor if it did lose.
Galatasaray would get another break due of not playing at the league during next week and would get opportunity once again to improve its performance.
Trabzonspor been lucky to get win against Kayserispor
It needs to be mentioned that to some extend Trabzonspor did get win against Kayserispor with luck, as it did provide poor performance as this outcome would be big dissapointment as they had been better side on field.
Luck without doubt has turned around for Trabzonspor, at pretty questionable penalty decision which been converted by Bakasetas which provided some confidence to the side and has led them to provide much more stronger attacking game which led for great team work with Maxi Gomez and Okan Bozok, as player has got an important great shot. Still, Trabzonspor are being far from level of performance from last season and needs to improve on many areas as more tougher opponent might not provide such opportunities for Trabzonspor to turn around.
Trabzonspor are not in level which it would like to be with performance and Abdullah Avci would need to find solutions to such issues as soon as he can.
