Except of last 70 minutes, Besiktas has been pretty passive.
Derby game between Besiktas and Fenerbahce didnt fulfill expectations as both sides has provided strong defensive game which led for lack of dangerous chances and high tempo between sides.
It needs to be mentioned that following substitutes from Valerien Ismael on 70th minute, Besiktas didnt have any dangerous chances at Fenerbahce and with introduction especially of Racchid Ghezzal on field has rose tempo of the game and created some dangerous chances. Even through, there were some criticisms towards Valerien Ismael for making those changes too late, it needs to be mentioned that they did come after changes of Jose Jesus and this been possible tactic. Besiktas player Wout Weghorst has been much more effective player on the side with creating high number of opportunities as he did become close goal and hit on cross in last 10 minutes. Besiktas did show good game in the end but in overall has been focussed on defence game.
Besiktas hence needs to focus possibily more into first 70 minutes in analysis of the game and realise why it hasnt been effective in that period of time.
Fenerbahce looked better than Besiktas but also been below they performance level.
Even through Fenerbahce did look to be better side compare to Besiktas for most amount of the game, it still hasnt been on same level in attack compare to previous games.
To some extend, Fenerbahce has provided mirror performance for most amount of the time and tactics as Besiktas as it been focussed mainly into defence and midfielding area, and due of having slightly better attacking performance did look better especially during 1st half. Such in tense game during 70 minutes, has provided some tiredness to Fenerbahce among physical and also mentally which led for some tiredness during last 20 minutes. Also during that time, it has been seen observed that mentally team has been mainly focussed into draw in this period, as there were two cases when Fenerbahce did have opportunity for attacking game it has shown slowed down, especially when there was time wasting when it got throw-in at Besiktas half, moment which made Jesus furious.
Fenerbahce and Besiktas outcome of the game hasnt been too bad in sense of standings, but both sides would need to be more aggressive in derby games for sure.
Kerem Akturkoglu could lose starting 11 spot
Starting 11 position of Kerem Akturkoglu in upcoming weeks at Galatasaray is being questionable due of poor and ineffective performance in upcoming games.
Taking account that Akturkoglu has been one of the best players at Galatasaray and also generally in Turkey during previous season, it could be stated that he is being biggest dissapointment at club during this season. His performance is not being very effective and slower as he did lose agressivity and also lacks providing assists to teammates, even through this been issue at whole team so far this season. Kerem Akturkoglu does have opportunity to use next week, when side will not play game, to improve and show his worthiness to Okan Buruk at training session if he doesnt want to be substituted.
Kerem Akturkoglu does show signs of being able to show same performance but struggles to provide it during games so far this season.
