Turkey needs to improve with its performance.
Turkish National Team did lose to Norway during World Cup 2022 qualifiers against highly absent Norway with 1:1 scoreline with losing opportunity to get to 2nd spot but still has hope to get that spot if things go well for them.
Turkey did have good and confident start of the game with creating some opportunities and did found very good goal on 7th minute which did look to be letting side to get some control of the game but somehow as game continued Turkey did lose control of the game with making some mistakes while Norway showed some pressure which eventually led for them to find goal on 41st minute. It needs to be noted that with game getting 2nd half Norway provided defensive game while Turkey didnt get any difficult opportunities. Turkey hence did look ineffective in the attack and hence this game without doubt let Stefan Kuntz to identify issues with side.
Therefore, Turkey kept its chances alive for runner-up position but gamewise it does need improvement for sure.
Ryan Donk became Kasimpasa captain.
Kasimpasa has appointed Ryan Donk as club's captain as being without doubt one of the most experienced players in the side and also in Super League.
As it is known, Donk did perform at Kasimpasa before joining Galatasaray so he did join to his previous club and hence to some extend he is familiar with aims and culture of the club which hence would be able to him to take this position among general experience. All of this aspects could lead him to take leadership role in the team and when needed provide motivation to the players without doubt.
Therefore, this being right appointment with player who could take role of captaincy as best player in current squad.
Felipe Melo could become Terim assistant next season.
Following yesterday news of Arda Turan being appointed as assistant coach to Galatasaray, another name being rumoured for such posiiton which is being Filepo Melo.
Melo with his agressive behaviour did provide some dislikeness from other clubs and support from Galatasaray club did make himself as one of the key players in this squad and hence he would be seen as very good option for this role without doubt and also being seen to be having good relationship still with Fatih Terim which being good news for both. In similar manner as Turan it would be 1st his position as coach and with Terim being next to him he would be getting direct lessons from one of his idols.
Melo would be working with Terim possibly next season but it looks like during this break some names so we need to wait for some time to get into such positions.
