What happened in Turkish football today? 03/09/2021

Turkey will play against one of the weakest sides in continent.

Turkey would be coming out to play against one of the most weakest sides at Europe right now as it would be meeting Gibraltar at World Cup 2022 qualifier which it would certainly win without much issues.

Turkey hence would be getting an opportunity to win its first game in duration of 5 games and only possible question would be how much Turkey would be able to dominate game and how many goals they would be able to score. There is luckily to be also some changes at starting 11 as Senol Gunes would be providing much more focus to Holland game which would be very important for them as ticket to World Cup could be easily from result of that game. Only issue which Turkey needs to give attention is to find goal as early possible which would provide much easiness for rest of the game and still stay focussed as no game won without fighting as seen against Latvia and Montenegro.

Confident win could provide important motivational boost to side but again Turkey losing to Gibraltar would be seen as huge surprise.

Ozan Tufan and Caglayan Soyuncu join Turkey for World Cup qualifiers.

Watford player Ozan Tufan and Leicester City player Caglar Soyuncu have joined Turkish National Team camp in Spain hence would not visit Turkey during upcoming next 2 games and would return to UK from Holland which is not red list.

As it is known both players did join side and hence didnt attend to game against Montenegro due of decision not to send player to red list countries which Turkey is at. However, Turkey did solve issue with those 2 games which would be taking place not in Turkey and those players would strength side especially for Holland which expects to be very crucial game.It would not also be expected for players to have any adaptation issues as they used to this squad.

Hence, its been good development for Turkey to be able to make those 2 key players to join side especially before Holland game.

Pjanic joins Besiktas with 1-year loan

Barcelona player Mirajem Pjanic joins Besikkts for 1-year loan as side has strenghened significantly its squad for Champions League with using good opportunity with Barcelona willing to sell or loan player.

Pjanica did provide pretty dissapoint performance at Barcelona but it is being difficult club to show top level game due of other players and expectations and hence it doesnt reduce important of such loan for Besiktas. As long as, Pjanic does provide strong competitive game with fulfilling his expectations he could provide significant strength to side with direct impact to results both at league and Champions League. Therefore, he could easily provide top level side at his new club.

There would be high expectations to show good game and it would be now his job to fulfill them.
