What happened in Turkish football today? 17/09/2021

Fenerbahce did show good game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Fenerbahce has provided pretty strong performance against Eintracht Frankfurt especially during 1st half as game ended with 1:1 scoreline as Dimitris Pelkas didnt convert penalty kick in last minute of the game.

It needs to be noted that Fenerbahce did start game at high tempo which it managed to get through 1st half providing pressure to Eintracht goal and dominating tempo which should be seen as impressive as it was an away game and also did find goal from Mesut Ozil. However, conceding goal in the end of the 1st half did surely affect whole game as Fenerbahce which did become tired during 2nd half with also morale from conceding goal did have negative impact to the side even through it did get golden opportunity to score in the end of the game while penalty. Still, despite of not scoring that penalty, Fenerbahce did get very important goal with showing good game away but needs to improve stamina so it can show top level tempo game for 90 minutes.

Still, Fenerbahce did show some good signs with fighting spirit which would be very important for upcoming games this season.

Galatasaray showed good game even through its been extremely lucky with goal.

Galatasaray did provide to some extend better game which been expected when looking how it performed in recent games while Lazio to luck of Galatataray has showed suprisingly passive slow game.

Even through it needs to be noted that goal which did come from Scarollini has been very high mistake as he couldnt control ball with his hands, it needs to be noted that Galatasaray has been closer to win but it needs to be remembered that it didnt find goal themselves to some extend which could be seen as negative. However, among Lazio been pretty passive it still needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray defence has been dropped. Even through this blog still believes that Marcao should not be easily forgiven like this after Akturkoglu, he did show how important to his side with performance he showed against Lazio. Without doubt, this good performance for them good turn into positive for upcoming games in this season and be turning point for rest of the season.

Galatasaray hence did show some good game against Lazio and did get good win against them.

Early goals from Besiktas could be key against Antalyaspor.

Besiktas will be resuming Turkish Super League with game against Antalyaspor, as it would be expected that there would be coming tired after Borussia Dortmund game.

One of the questions regarding Besiktas during this season has been how Champions League would be affecting side fight to defend its title, and to some extend with high effort game given by them against Borussia Dortmund this would be crucial game to check how it would perform against Antalyaspor. Stating that, Antalyaspor tends to be reducing tempo with showing defence so crucial thing for Besiktas could be scoring an early goal or two to make things easier and tiredness will not be affect. To all respect towards Antalyaspor, this could be achieved to make rest of the game easier. Antalyaspor on their part should find ways to prevent Besiktas scoring in early minutes and later use to its advantage to likely signs of tiredness of opponent.

Besiktas hence needs to focus into finding goals before it possibly shows signs of tiredness from Borussia game.
