Turkey gave 1 point present to Montenegro.
Turkish National Team has lost 2 points against Montenegro during World Cup 2022 Qualifier Group G with ending game with 2:2 scoreline, while winning 2:0 as it conceded goal at the last minute of the game from free-kick.
It would need to be mentioned that Turkey did provide strong and confident performance during 1st half with providing high tempo with getting into very good opportunities and scoring 2 goals during 1st 45 minutes with conceding goal as it lost concentration in the end of the 1st half. Even through it did get pretty good start during start of the 1st half with possession, its been clear that side did lose concentration and motivation which was getting less and less with letting Montenegro to get into game even through quite opposite should have happened with Turkey getting 3rd goal and even through it did get some opportunities it didnt provide much pressure which been present during 1st half. It does look like from some other game during this qualifiers and to some extend at Euro2020 it does look like Turkey does have issues with playing with high tempo for 90 minutes. Hence, Turkey which did start game well did lose control of the game and was losing control of the game which let for Montenegro to find 2nd goal in the last minute.
Montenegro didnt provide very good performance during 1st half but with finding goal in the end of the 1st half with great goal between legs of Altay Bayindir did come with hope for 2nd half and had managed to get goal and currently also being in the race for top spot.
With Norway and Holland game ending with draw,Turkey still kept its leadership but rather be satisfied of this, everyone involved in this team should be dissapointed with golden opportunity to get 4 point difference from its main opponents in group.
Adana Demirspor appoints Vincenzo Montella
Adana Demirspor has appointed highly experienced and well-known head coach Vincenzo Montella as side did once make it clear that it aims to make side which would been to get some strong results.
