What happened in Turkish football today? 09/09/2021

Days of Turkish National Team coach Senol Gunes in his post are numbered.

Starting from Euro 2020 poor performance from Turkish National Team and such level of game continuing at World Cup qualifier with losing to Holland with 6:1 scoreline reaching to lowest point, there is serious talks for resignation of Senol Gunes to be taking place.

In fact, in those days both TFF and Senol Gunes are have meeting to decide regarding future of Senol Gunes at national side as compensation payment is being pretty high if termination of contract would be taking place and hence TFF is currently looking to find solution which would satisfy. However, as would be expected in such condition, Senol Gunes doesnt have ideas to accept reduction or resign himself which does provide some issues. Right now, TFF has option either to sack him even with high compensation payment or keep Gunes but demand to provide some changes as things are not going well.

In short period of time, it is expected for deal between sides to be made and our accounts would report it when it happens.

Altay has introduced fan token.

Altay has also joined to cryptocurrency sector as it made business partnership with Icrypex as both has introduce Altay Fan Token which would be able to purchase by all fans.

Fan tokens system is being introduced by number of clubs across world and there are some significant clubs in Turkey which has introduced hence to provide more interaction with supporters which in priority would focus into finances but also provides some good feeling with supporters to have some contact with own club. Token would be hence allow supporters to have financial transaction system with each other and also them as spendings which would also be seen as gain to clubs. Such decision would allow Altay to have direct interaction with support.

Fan token is being used with some clubs for now and number of them is being growing and it would be interesting what other Turkish clubs would allow such system.

Sides brought mainly young player during this summer transfer window.

Without doubt most significant characteristic of summer transfer window which just been completed has been into transferring younger players both in Turkey and abroad who have great potential.

For long time, Turkish Super League did have older players in its squads both Turkish but especially foreign players believing that experience would bring success but with tempo of the game getting faster this provide some issues. However, during this summer transfer window most clubs has sold its older players and purchased younger players hence reducing average age of squad significantly. Most importantly all this players have high potential and hence provide big help to sides both financially in future while some players could see this as opportunity to build up for brighter career in future.

Those transfers did happen mainly due of economical situation with clubs as most player were purchased for not very high prices but in long run it could be winner for most clubs.
