Turkey allowed Montenegro to score in last 20 minutes.
Turkey has lost very important 3 points during World Cup Qualifiers against Montenegro as it conceded goal from free-kick in the last minute which led game to 2:2 even through it did lead game with 2:0 scoreline.
Following loss of 2 points to Latvia in similar manner, it was observed that Turkey does have issues with providing top level game for 90 minutes or as we saw at Euro 2020 for most amount of the time. During both games, Turkey has been side which provided present to its opponent and such slow tempo game towards last 20 minutes of the game, with rather finding 3rd goal it has decided to show much more defensive game which only provided confidence and belief to Montenegro which led for free-kick opportunity in last minute of the game. With Norway and Holland drawing at pararrel game, Turkey did lose golden opportunity to get 4 point difference from its main rivals and schedule wise put their qualification to World Cup into difficulty.
Turkey would play its next game against one of the most weakest sides at continent- Gibraltar but actual game which it needs to focus is following that game against Holland for sure.
Alanyaspor terminated contract with Cagdas Atan
Alanyaspor has officially announced termination of contract with its head coach Cagdas Atan due of poor start of the season, as Super League clubs has started its season of coach termination.
Even through start of this season has been pretty dissapointing for Alanyaspor with naturally coach getting main blame for this position it needs to be remembred that side did show some good performance in past season even through it did have significant decline towards end. Right now issue with side might not be quality of players but more into psychology due of poor result so it does look like it would be needed to get coach which foremost would provide motivation to the players as there seems to be issues with self-belief.
Alanyaspor did show good performance at start and Cagdas Atan naturally got main blame for such poor start.
Mergim Berisha and Max Meyer arrived to Istanbul for Fenerbahce
Salzburg player Mergim Berisha and Max Meyer has arrived to Istanbul for having one-on-one transfer negotiations with Fenerbahce as club focusses to solve attacking issues in the side which are present.
Fenerbahce which did start at high point still needed to provide some strength for upcoming season both to be fighting for top spot domestically and Europa League and hence bringing Berisha who is being highly-quality attacker and strong midfielder Max Meyer would provide without doubt needed strength in attacking game and hence lead side to become more creative and attacking side. With both player being pretty young, does also show change of Turkish clubs to change focus from experienced but close to retired player towards potential stars with young age.
Those two signings if would happen will strength Fenerbahce significantly if both players fulfill their expecations.
