What happened in Turkish football today? 07/06/2020

Fenerbahce has played game at its own stadium for adaptation.

Fenerbahce would be joining trend of playing games with its own team at its stadium to provide adaptation period for its own field as leagues would be resuming on 12th June.

As been noted on our blog on previous day, Sivasspor and Gaziantep has played at its own stadium for the clubs to get used to the home field as it would be playing all of the games until end of this season without supporters. This could be difficult period especially for big clubs where supporters been referred as 12th player since their provide strong push for their own players and its been known for sides to win games purely for that support which their recieved. Hence, this project of playing kind of friendly games even through would not same as matchday, it would provide some adaptation.

League would be completed in pretty interesting note and one of the aspects which makes unique is no supporters factor, and time would show how this would affect to sides especially title contenders.

Galatasaray plans to travel to away games on day of the fixture.

It became clear that Galatasaray has made decision to travel to its away games for rest of the season on the matchday to reduce risk of spread of virus within club and not to stay  at hotels.

Clubs prior to start of the Super League on 12th June are looking ways how to reduce virus spread within club and whole football community and hence are looking into different and various ways to achieve that and for sure one of them is to reduce interaction at the away field and to do that could be travelling to away game on day of the game with possible return on the same day. Time would show if it would make this plan into effect and would other clubs have similar measures taken.

Teams need to look ways to reduce spread of virus if it doesnt want to have unwanted factors during this period and end season at healthy way.

Turkey does have risk of experiencing 2nd wave

With Turkey going through its 1st weekend without curfew for around 8 weeks, it did provide some worrying images with how people acted both with wearing masks wrongly or not at all, and teenagers gathering next to Bosphorus in worrying numbers without any precautions.

Even through it did been stated that 2nd wave chances are not being very high right now, following past days Health Ministry Fahrettin Koca provided high number of warnings with proof of some parts going wrong with science committe stating that there is risk of 2nd wave right now which could be even more dangerous. Sadly, trust for people which was given to public were not followed by some parts and circusmtances which could become clear next week already could have some dangerous circumstances which could have negative impact to rest of the week for sure.

Right now chances of things getting worser been seen unclear but images of this weekend does provide risk of 2nd wave sadly higher.
