What happened in Turkish football today? 11/10/2023

Turkey would be coming out to Croatia with optimism of new coach and beginning.

Turkish National Team are going to resume its Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with very important game against Croatia as both sides are being in top of the standings with 10 points with Croatia having game in hand.

It needs to be stated that even through Turkey did lose a crucial 2 points against Armenia on previous game, it still has got good advantage to get to the Euro 2024 and hence 1 point against Croatia will not be seen bad result as long as it doesnt lose crucial points in upcoming games. Without doubt, appointment of Vincenzo Montella could provide positive impact into team for this game as it would be aiming to provide much more attacking game and also willingness but it needs to be aware that it is playing against Croatia and hence aim to balance its game with attack and defence and possibly even focus more into defence as Croatia does have quality attacking players. Therefore, to some extend Turkey would need to show brave football but be aware of its capacity and hence provide good defensive game.

Turkey as been noted would be coming out with high confidence and motivation and this likely cklllllllllmn kkkjould have a positive impact on performance even through result of the game might not be as simple.

Victor Nelsson is unhappy for not being selected at starting 11.

Galatasaray player Victor Nelsson has stated during interview with Danish media that he is being unhappy and angry for not starting at starting 11 during last 3 games especially during game against Manchester United.

It has been known that start from summer transfer window this summer Nelsson wanted to leave club but Galatasaray didnt consider to sell him and now has offered him an extension contract to which he didnt consider to sign. It is rumoured that Galatasaray decision not to play could be related to this as this thought however raises him willingness to leave team even more. It is true that he has been at decline of performance compare to previous season, but he is being a good defender and for sure could alternative and option in the team squad so not playing him would only let him lose even more and might turn negatively when he would be needed in the field.

This developments hence does raise question regarding future player at the club and there are high chances he would leave during mid-season transfer window.

Sebastian Szymanski doesnt consider to leave team soon

Fenerbahce player Sebastian Szymanski agent Mariusz Piekarski has stated that there are no plans for player to leave team in short period and states that he aim is to compete with team at Champions League.

Sebastian Szymanski is clearly feels comfortably both in Turkey and his club which could be seen both from stance and performance of the team as he has become one of the leading players for winning run team is going through. As it tends to be, transfer rumours are being going around at media when player is showing good performance but it doesnt look like, and been confirmed from his agent, that Szymanski is considering to leave team not only in mid-season break but also next summer transfer window.

Szymanski is happy at Fenerbahce and does look like he would be playing at team for at least 2 seasons and playing an important role in the team.
