Besiktas get important win against Gaziantep for its confidence.

Besiktas has won an important game against Gaziantep with 2:0 scoreline which without doubt has been very crucial win as it kept themselves at race for the top spot and also provided confidence and motivation which it was lacking.

It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas did start game in pretty controllable game and has been opening game as it developed with providing more pressure and hence created chances as time went on as even through compare to 2nd half it didnt look as effective, it did created some chances as game been progressing and has found two goals from headers both from Salih Ucan and Cenk Tosun. It needs to be mentioned that this win among raising motivation and confidence, it also has been important for them to be getting win while having lots of absences as Rachid Ghezzal has also become injured as game has been progressed. Hence, this been an important win and even through it is still outsider for top spot, it has managed to keep difference to 11 points.

Gaziantep it needs to be stated did provide some good performance with providing brave and attacking game as it did create some very good chances but once again didnt overpass goalkeeper which tends to be so far an issue at the team. Still, if it manages to improve final touches it would be able to get some points in close future.

Hence, Besiktas did get an important win and would now aiming to keep this confidence for upcoming weeks as it would be aim to get closer to top clubs.

Fenerbahce continues its winning run with beating Pendikspor with ease.

Fenerbahce continues its 100% record run as this time it has beaten in very confident manner Pendikspor with 5:0 scoreline at the game where Edin Dzeko has scored hat-trick and has reached to 10 goals in season.

Fenerbahce actually did start game in pretty slow manner and didnt provide much dominant game for first 30 minutes while as would been expected Pendikspor didnt provide much pressure to the opponent and hence it did look like Fenerbahce would be able to turn around game. It needs to be mentioned that Ismail Yuksek continues to be playing an important role at midfielding as great pass to Bright Osayi-Samuel has been turning point as team did get a goal. With another goal coming in the end of the 1st half has made things much more easier during 2nd half as it did looked more dangerous. Fenerbahce possibly didnt provide fast tempo which been visible on previous games but despite of that it did get confident result and did use an attacking game in strong manner.

Fenerbahce has raised its winning run to 19 games in all competition and would now be focussing towards struggling Trabzonspor game next week.

Trabzonspor attacking game is getting worser by each week.

Trabzonspor continues to be showing ineffective performance and even decline of it with Abdullah Avci as it has completed Fatih Karagumruk without any shots on target for 90 minutes as game ended with goalless draw.

It is true that Abdullah Avci has been new to the team and hence doesnt deserve much criticism, but such ineffective performance, decline of performance from poor to worser, and Avci being pretty recently and knowing some players at squad is not being an excuse for such poor game. Trabzonspor did once again provide defensive game without conceding but without converting chances or even creating them would not bring side back to higher spots in the league and would continue losing points. Fenerbahce continues its winning run with hat-trick of Edin Dzeko.

Fenerbahce continues its winning run as it has beaten Pendikspor during Super League 10th week game with confident result of 5:0 with Edin Dzeko scoring a hat-trick and in generally showing strong performance.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce compare to previous games didnt have high dominance and fast tempo game on first minutes as it didnt find goals on first 30 minutes and has provided low tempo possibly having some negative effect from playing at unusual stadium or more likely having effects from Europa League against Ludogorets as some players did play on that game. However, with Pendikspor in all respect to them not being on capacity to provide much danger it did keep Fenerbahce and finding an early goal has affected positively with Pendikspor due of scoreline starting playing an open game. After 2:0, Edin Dzeko did take lion share position of chances with scoring last 3 goals and making hat-trick and with those goals has made himself much more clear that he is being leading role player at the front. Only negative aspect for team has been injury of Fred who injury seriousness would become clear on upcoming days.

It needs to be reminded that Pendikspor capacity are not only being on same level as against Fenerbahce but also to this league despite of providing occassionally some good performance. Hence, it should not be criticised too much but it would be important to learn lessons from this game.

Fenerbahce continues to show strong dominant performance with good result and did gain motivational boost prior game against Trabzonspor. 

Trabzonspor continues showing ineffective performance.

Fatih Karagumruk and Trabzonspor Super League 10th week game has been ended with goalless draw and has lacked much of the chances from both sides as game has been played in very low tempo with neither team showing much effort to get win.

It was interesting to see how Trabzonspor would be performing as despite of poor performance during last week it did get win and hence raise of motivation and confidence and hence it would be providing perrformance which  would be raising quality but it hasnt been case. Partly due of Abdullah Avci playing defensive game and also low confidence and motivation of players without doubt did have an impact for the team. Only positive sign for Trabzonspor as been hinted above has been for Trabzonspor not being able to concede goals in 2 games but this has been mainly for reducing tempo of the performance and opponent not giving too much pressure to Trabzonspor goal even if Fatih Karagumruk did have some chances during 90 minutes.

Fatih Karagumruk has also won game during last week which we did affect side motivation and confidence but this didnt have much impact as it did create some chances and did look like its been dangerous, it is still hard to state that it did provide much pressure to opponent goal.

Trabzonspor still fails to provide confident and strong performance and doesnt provide much optimistic view prior to game it would have against Fenerbahce next week.

Galatasaray beats Rizespor despite of seriousness signs of tiredness.

Galatasaray has managed to win crucial away game against Rizespor thanks to the Sergio Oliviero goal despite of providing not very effective game as there were signs of tiredness from team which did come from difficult Bayern Munich game.

Galatasaray did have some issues at gaining tempo and control of the game as Rizespor has been one which more or less did have some control of the midfielding but did fail to provide right and final touches at the attack which did both keep scoreline 0:0 and 1:0 after Oliviero. Only positive aspect from Galatasaray but without doubt very crucial one has been for right substitution strategy from Okan Buruk as he did right substitutes as performance of team did raise on 2nd half after half-time changes even if it was a bit and winning goal did come from substitute player. Galatasaray to some extend has been lucky with playing against Rizespor which didnt provide much pressure and attacking game for 90 minutes.

Galatasaray continues its winning run raising it to 9 games in the league and hence continues its intense race for top spot with Fenerbahce with this win.

 Galatasaray gets win against Rizespor thanks to Oliviera goal despite of poor game.

Galatasaray has managed to get 1:0 win against Rizespor thanks to the Sergio Oliviera goal on 66th minute despite of team did provide not very effective game but has managed to get crucial win at the game where it had poor game.

It needs to be mentioned that Champions League game on midweek against Bayern Munich was expected to have direct impact for the team both mentally and physically and that has been case as it did manage to provide both strong game and also didnt get control of the game. In fact, Rizespor during bothI halves did look to be creating much more dangerous chances but couldnt pass either goalkeeper Fernando Muslera or didnt provide good shot and in some occassions last touches to create chance. Therefore, this game would be seen as an important extra 3 points for Galatasaray as it did get win with poor game. To some extend, goal coming from substitute Sergio Oliviera also make this factor clear as fresh legs did play an important role in 2nd half as opponent has also become tired.

It needs to state that Rizespor did look to be more focussed and dangerous during this game but it has failed to convert chances at attacks with rather undecisive passes, strong shots and also not being going through Muslera. In short, Rizespor not being converting chances did cost them possible win for the game.

Galatasaray hence did get win with providing poor performance at one of difficult away games and since would see this win as an extra point without doubt and still needs to get important lessons from this game.

Republic 100th anniversary would give extra motivation for team.

Fenerbahce would be aiming to get 19th win out of 19 against struggling Pendikspor during Turkish Republic 100th anniversary which could also provide extra motivation to players for sure.

Fenerbahce has been referring itself as side which is being strong support of Kemalist ideology and has always identified with Turkish Republic first president Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and hence playing on Republic Day would provide strong motivation and confidence. Among that, Fenerbahce would be coming out as strong favourites as even through Pendikspor did manage to provide some good performance occassionally especially during big 4 clubs, Fenerbahce quality factor would be expected to provide some confidence. Meanwhile, football field which it would been played of Pendik has been highly discussed as it has low capacity football field but it is unlikely to affect negatively to team.

Hence, it could be stated for sure that Fenerbahce would be coming out as strong favourite and for sure Republic 100th anniversary would have extra motivation to team.

Trabzonspor will be aiming to get win this week with strong quality game.

Trabzonspor would be aiming to get back-to-back wins with Abdullah Avci as his 1st game been on previous game against Alanyaspor but it would also interesting if team would improve its performance.

Even through Trabzonspor did manage to get win against Alanyaspor during 1st game of Abdullah Avci it needs to be stated that it didnt show very strong performance and in all fairness did win with some luck as goal did come from own goal. Fatih Karagumruk as side is not being at great form when looking generally but did show also some good performance on previous week and would be aiming to show some strong and effective game and seeking for win. Besiktas has shown very ineffective game against Bodo/Glimt.

Besiktas continues its poor and ineffective performance both domestically and in Europe as it lost to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt with 3:1 scoreline and has put into difficulty into getting play-off stage at the competition.

Even through Besiktas has been seen as favourite in this group stage at normal circumstances, taking account general form and performance of the team in recent weeks, it sadly needs to be mentioned that Bodo/Glimt did come out to the game as favourites and differences between team has been very visible. With both sides coming to the game with 1 points, it was game which both sides needed to win but when looking at game it did look like Norwegian side has been more aware of this. Besiktas didnt get any control of the game for 90 minutes and didnt look strong both in defence and attack. Team fails to show any strong team work. It also important to note that taking account that Burak Yilmaz does lack any experience in head coach role, it would not be right to throw blame towards himself but more towards whole team which did throw him into such situation in this period.

Besiktas is also being 12 points behind of league leaders Fenerbahce and being on edge to be relegated from Conference League and hence in such early stage of season its getting close to be side without much aims.

Fenerbahce wins games even when it has drop of performance.

In other side, Fenerbahce continues showing strong and dominatiing game as it found 3:1 win against Ludogorets and even through it wasnt been a best game during this season it still means it continues its 100% record.

Fenerbahce is in such condition right now that even when it does provide drop of performance and dominance at 90 minutes, its still continues to win games and doesnt show any signs of slowing down. Fenerbahce it also needed to be reminded did come out with 2nd squad more or less as Miha Zajc and Michy Batshuayi are not being in great form for not playing in recent weeks and despite of that did been scorers at the field. It also needs to be reminded that even through Ludogorets is not in level of Fenerbahce, it is still 2nd strongest side at the group and needed to show reaction with new coach which also had affect into how game has been played. 

Fenerbahce does have quite naturally drop of performance level as it did against Ludogorets but most important its still manages to win even when that happens.

Galatasaray physical condition will affect Rizespor performance.

Galatasaray would be resuming Super League season with an away game agaisnt Rizespor who does provide mixture of performance and it would be interesting to see how Galatasaray would respond from tiring game against Bayern Munich.

It needs to be mentioned that Bayern Munich game could affect both mentally as it did lose game in good performance and without doubt physically and it would be interesting to see how it would have effect towards game performance against Rizespor. Another factor is that it is being unclear if Mauro Icardi would be in starting 11 as he did play against Bayern Munich until needless in pretty risky decision and it is being unclear if team would risk him once again. With all this taking account, Rizespor could be seeing this an opportunity and hence would be playing with respect to opponent but might get chance to get win if it sees that Galatasaray are not providing its best performance.

Besiktas has provided very poor game where it needed to win.

Besiktas continues showing an ineffective eprformance at the Conference League as it got its chances to get to the play-off round into difficulty as it lost to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt with 3:1 scoreline with finding a goal as own goal on last minute.

It was known for Beisktas is being through very difficult period both domestically and also in Conference League which without doubt did put players into negative pressure and had its negative impact into motivation and confidence of the side but in same time it was expected for team would provide some reaction at the game where for both sides were needed to win if it wanted to get out from group. Fenerbahce continues its impressive winning run during this season as this time it has beaten Bulgarian side Ludogorets at home ground with 3:1 scoreline but it needs to be stated that it did struggle a bit as Ludogorets has been expected to provide some issues to the team.

Stating it could be noted that despite of first 10 minutes of the games and also last 10 minutes of the game, Fenerbahce has been side which did control game and even through its tempo wasnt as high as was on previous weeks, it still has provided a confident performance and has control pace of the game which is without important point as it did play not with ideal 11 players and in fact players like Michy Batshuayi and Miha Zajc who didnt recieve lots of playing minutes in recent weeks did show confident and attacking game on the field which did let them to find goals. Therefore, even if its not providing dominant game as it did in recent weeks at the league, it has stayed fully focussed for game and hence did get a win which has more or less secure them play-off and team would now be able to focus more into into getting 100% at this group stage and focus into carrying on its winning run in general.

There were expectations for Ludogorets to show some reaction on the field following unwanted results their getting at Conference League and domestically with new head coach and it did achieve as it did provide good organised game against Fenerbahce but quality factor did play its role.

Fenerbahce continues its top level conference in all competitions with getting 18 wins back-to-back as it got crucial winagainst Ludogorets for top spot in the group stage.

Dirk Kuyt is being one of the candidates for Konyaspor head coach role.

One of the most interesting rumours which has been discussed at Turkish sports media has been talks that Konyaspor has made principal deal with Dirk Kuyt for head coach position even through team CEO Fatih Ozgokcen has declined those rumours.

Fatih Ozkogcen has stated that team did have some talks with Dirk Kuyt and is still being one of candidates but there are some areas which team administration are being unsure and are having some negotiations with some other candidates. Staying with Dirk Kuyt, one of the advantages is that he been one of the leading players at Fenerbahce during his stay and hence is familiar with league but he is being pretty inexperienced and didnt yet get successful results even through he does have some experience. Galatasaray loss has identifed reasons why Turkish clubs cant become top European clubs.

Galatasaray has lost to Bayern Munich with 3:1 scoreline despite of showing pretty effective performance for 70 minutes especially during 1st half and quality factor, not being to convert chances and also not being able to provide top level performance for 90 minutes did cost side a win.

It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray without doubt did provide top level performance and did give some very difficult moments towards Bayern Munich but in same time it did show an issues which Galatasaray has to become top level European club and this is being case for all Turkish clubs. Foremost, Galatasaray didnt manage to convert their chances which they did get in 1st half and if you dont use this chances, opponent like Bayern Munich would punish you even if they show poor performance in overall as they did during this game. Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk also played for this scoreline as he is being late to make some changes and an excuse that goals came when he was planning to substitute actually provides view of not able to reading this game in particular.

Galatasaray did provide good performance and they are many aspects where it should be happy and be praised for, but it needs to identify and find solutions which led for loss of game.

Besiktas must win Bodo/Glimt to prevent more pressure which it has.

Tiredness in the last 20 minutes didnt let Galatasaray to get 1 point against Bayern Munich

Galatasaray, in all fairness, did lose to Bayern Munich as expected with 3:1 scoreline but it needs to be stated that Istanbul giant did provide some good and organised performance as it did prevent Bayern Munich to get full control of the game until 73rd minute when Harry Kane did find goal which made his side go ahead.

Galatasaray without doubt did come out to the game as underdogs towards game against Bayern Munich but Okan Buruk did state prior to game that he would be aiming for the team to show performance where it would be able to stay at the game and despite of conceding goal on early minutes from Coman, it did show good comeback as it did get control of the game and did find an equaliser thanks to the Panenka penalty goal from Mauro Icardi. One of the good things which Galatasaray did tactically is to reduce tempo of the game and even through it didnt provide specificallly enjoyable view, it has been important for them to reduce it as with open game Bayern Munich would find many chances. It needs to be mentioned that factors which did affect to the game has been that Galatasaray did become tired as game did enter to 20 minutes and that has played direct impact with final outcome of the game as class game of Bayern Munich let team to find game.

Trabzonspor got win against Alanyaspor but still being far from seeked top level performance.

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci has managed to get its 1st win at his return to the team with 1:0 scoreline against Alanyaspor due of Aliti an own goal as Trabzonspor was still far from its top performance.

In all fairness to Abdullah Avci and his team, there were not high expectation for the team but there was still expectation for side to get result due of motivational boost which head coach could be providing and also poor form of the opponent. And to some extend this is how game has been developed as it could be noted that Trabzonspor has been pretty far from its best performance as it lacked controllable, lacking an attacking game and hence did create pretty low amount of chances and when it did it didnt use effectively which would be expected from them in normal situation. Fenerbahce continues its 100% winning run this season.

Fenerbahce continues its winning run during this season as it managed to win all of the games both in domestically and in Europe and this time it did win Hatayspor with 4:2 scoreline, mainly showing dominating game at 1st half.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce fully has dominated game from start of the 1st half until half-time and this taking account that Hatayspor didnt lose any games prior to this fixture. Fenerbahce is being improving as side by each game and this has also been visible from this game as it has shown strong understanding and teamwork for 90 minutes and even if it did lose concentration and dominating game during 2nd half it still looked confident. Galatasaray would be aiming to once again writing history as it would be meeting with Bayern Munich but it needs to be aware that it would be much tougher game compare to Manchester United.

Fenerbahce carries on its 100% with beating Hatayspor this time 

Fenerbahce has raised its winning run to 9th games at league and 17 games back-to-back, same amount of games which it has played during this season, as it had managed to beat Hatayspor with 4:2 scoreline with especially ending game during 1st half.

Fenerbahce didnt only continues to raise its winning run during this season but also continues to be improving its game and has dominated once again in this game with starting game in such manner which leads them to find goals on early minutes as it did find goal thanks to the Sebastian Szemanski on 6th minute. In fact, finding an early goals and in this time unexpected pretty poor tactical game of opponent has made things easier for Fenerbahce and didnt lead to Hatayspor to get into game at all and couldnt provide much resistance. To this without doubt has been added Montella and most significant thing that he is being foreign coach. Without doubt working with Adana Demirspor on previous season and hence being adapted to this league and also knowing how to motivate Turkish players. 

This could be an early period to provide such strong arguments regarding of Vincenzo Montella but he has all reasons to get some positive outcomes in the team for upcoming years.

Pendikspor has appointed Ivo Ricardo Abreu Viera.

Pendikspor has appointed Ivo Ricardo Abreu Viera as club's head coach which has been surprising development as his name wasnt going among Turkish sports media and it has been unexpected for club to appoint foreign head coach.

With mainly Turkish names going through in the media, it does look like Pendikspor has going through negotiations with Viera at the secretive and through out manner and has made good deal taking account of financial limitations which Pendikspor does have. Stating that it needs to be mentioned that there is risky decision as Viera didnt work at this league and as players, coaches tend to have time to get adapted to Turkish Super League but still Viera is being name who does have good potentiality to get some good results in this team as club aims to stay in the league at the end of the season with his experience.

This has been unexpected and risky appointment for Pendikspor but it does have potential to turn around as good choice for club in the end of the day.

Bakasetas has become injured during national duty

Trabzonspor has announced that its player Antonios Bakasetas has become injured during Euro 2024 qualifier against Netherlands and club has started recovery process due of his injury.

As it is known, Bakasetas is being one of the key players in this team for long time and has been pushing team at forward areas during past 2 seasons and hence such development would not be seen as good update for coach Abdullah Avci as he did play an important role tactically during his reign in his club.Hence, Avci would now would be looking for alternative players in this area for his opening game after being returning as he would be seeing to get positive result for sure.

 Latvia again provided some issues to Turkey but in the end of the day it got Euro2024 in confident manner.

Turkish National Team has got a crucial win against Latvia with 4:0 scoreline and with such result has got ticket to the Euro 2024 which would be taking place and now would be focussing into ending campaign at top spot as it would meet with Wales next game.

It needs to be stated that Turkey, thanks to the games between 3 national teams, did only come out to the game against Latvia with a focus to win game regardless how Croatia and Wales game would be ending but it was certainly clear as Latvia tends to be most problematic team and despite of scoreline of 4:0, it needs to be stated that until game became 2:0 on 83rd minute, it has been pretty tough game for Turkey especially after 1:0 and until Cenk Tosun scored 2nd goal. Still, Turkey did show strong concentration and organisational game which has been brought by Vincenzo Montella as players show strong togetherness and fighting spirit at the game and it does look team has shown teamwork at the team.

As been noted, we are seeing wrong to not count Stefan Kuntz as mathematically it wouldnt be possible for Turkey to get to Euro without results he got but in same it does look questionable if team did get those 6 points if Kuntz stayed.

Istanbulspor has appointed Hakan Yakin as club's head coach.

Istanbulspor has appointed Hakan Yakin as club's head coach for 2-years as he would be coming with lots of experience on his previous periods and hence would be accepted to help team to stay at the league at least.

Hakan Yakin did get some performance and results both in Switzealand and Russia of his training experience and hence he would be coming to team with strong enough CV for team like and is more capable to turn around team to get some points and get side out of relegation zone as it seems for sure right for him to sort out an attacking issue as team doesnt convert much and would need to find solution of this with limited amount of good attackers to all respect. Still, as been noted Hakan Yakin is being coach which could achieve that.

With good CV as been noted Hakan Yakin has all potentiality to improve performance and get result which it seeks for with Istanbulspor.

Abdullah Avci will recieve salary of 40 million TL

Trabzonspor has announced that its head coach Abdullah Avci would be recieving salary of 40 million TL as it has appointed coach few days ago in place of Nenad Bjelica.

With Abdullah Avci did look to be best candidate both with experience and availability,it is reported that not much discussion has been made regarding of salaries but still Trabzonspor did make his salary as 40 million TL with announcement that it would raise at most 50% for next season due of exchange rate and financial situation in the country.  Turkish National Team has got its ticket to Euro 2024 with win against Latvia.

Turkish National Team has got its ticket to the Euro 2024 with 2 weeks to be played in this qualifying round, as it has managed to win game with confident scoreline of 4:0 but it does need to be mentioned that it wasnt an easy win entirely.

Turkey did come to this 2 game period in October, to get results which would make sure that they would be participating at Euro 2024 in Germany but it has been difficult journey in all fairness both during whole group campaign and also in this game specifically as Latvia did provide lots of pressure towards Turkey goal but goals which did come after 83rd minutes as Latvia did lose concentration which made things much easier for Turkey. When coming to the game, Turkey it needs to be stated did have controllable game to the game in the 1st half and has created some chances but did lack tempo of the game. Still, it has raised tempo during 1st half as it provided much more pressure and has scored a goal from Yunus Akgun. Only negative aspect from Turkey has been that after 1st goal, it did give ball and possession to Latvia which did create number of good chances and has got into posts. Hence, it needs to be stated that 2nd goal which been scored from Cenk Tosun did come in perfect time as it stopped effective game from Latvia and also broke their motivation which led for 3 more goals from Turkey.

Latvia on their part did remind all Turkish players and supporters, despite of the scoreline, that it is being pretty problematic side to them and has provided lots of problematic issues until scoreline has been 2:0 and did in fact show some good game with good fighting spirit.

Turkey hence got into Euro 2024 with a style by beating Croatia in away game and also getting confident scoreline against Latvia tonight and hence would be waiting for tournament at high confidence and motivation. 

Alexandru Djiku has resumed training sessions.

Fenerbahce player Alexandru Djiku has been recovered from injured which would be without doubt a positive news for head coach Ismail Kartal as he got back one of the key players at defence for the team.

One of main reasons for Fenerbahce winning run during this season has been without doubt strong performance of defensive players as team has only conceded 3 goals at the Super League after 8 weeks and Alexandru Djiku confident performance has been one of the main reason for this outcome and hence news that he has started training with main squad with 1 week to go before league resumes would been a positive development without doubt. 

Therefore, this development would provide an important strength to arleady strong defence as team has no intention to lose points when league would resume after this national team break.

Besiktas are interested to appoint Igor Tudor as club's head coach.

There is on-going rumours that Besiktas current administration if it manages to win upcoming CEO election are showing strong interest with appointing Igor Tudor as club's head coach.

It needs to be reminded that Igor Tudor has been working with Galatasaray on previous years where he didnt necessarily get very good results and has been send away but after that he has worked with Roma and Olympique Marseille where he did show some good performance and did show lots of improvement as coach so he would be coming to Besiktas if appointment would happen in much more experienced manner and does have some experience at Super League as he did also coach Karabukspor on previous years.

This are only being rumours for now and it is being pretty unclear but we would follow all developments in this matter for sure.

 Turkish National Team will aim to carry on positive game against Latvia.

Turkish National Team would be coming out to the Euro 2024 qualifying against Latvia where it can secure its spot for proper tournament where it would be taking place if it manages to get win their opponents.

Turkish National Team has opened new chapter in its history with Vincenzo Montella and it needs to be mentioned that this has been very successful as it got pretty confident win with minumum scoreline of 1:0 and now it would be important to carry on such top performance. Unfortuntately, Turkish National Team does have a habit of providing a strong performance against top nations but does lose concentration against weaker opponents and historically and surprisingly Latvia tends to be very problematic side for them. However, among getting good result with strong performance against Croatia with Vincenzo Montella, it has also shown that team has been very concentrated and motivated at the game against Croatia and if it manages to carry on such performance it should be able to get result which it seeks for. Latvia on their part would be coming to game with strong confidence and motivation against Turkey due of win against Armenia in previous week and good performance against Turkey in general.

Turkey did show positive performance against Croatia with Montella as new coach but now it would be seeking to carry on such performance.

Ismail Kartal has been punished from UEFA for starting game later than kick-off time.

Fenerbahce head coach Ismail Kartal has recieved 1-game ban and 25,000 euro fine which has been postponed for upcoming season due of game starting late during Conference League play-off round game against Twente.

As it is known, Turkish Super League tends to be starting delay due of relaxing attitude of federation and referees to kick-off time but this is being much more stricter at European games and hence it has punished from UEFA. This decision might be seen too strict but to some extend this has also been an important message towards Turkish regulators of game as one of the reasons for such strict are complaints from broadcasters and generally from supporters in some occassions. Fenerbahce and also other clubs at Europe would hence now on would need to be careful with kick-off times focussing for it to start at right time.

This could be seen as pretty unusual decision to give ban but as been noted UEFA does pay specific attention to kick-off times at its competitions. 

Hakim Ziyech will not be able to play for 1-week due of injury.

Galatasaray player Hakim Ziyech would not be able to play for 1 week due of injury which means he would be missing two important games of the team as one at Super League against Besiktas derby game and another one against Bayern Munich at Champions League.

As it is known, Ziyech has been send to Moroccan National Team in injury condition hoping from their side that he would be able to come out and play but it became known that injury has been more serious than expected and has been send back to Istanbul for recovery. It is reported for injury not to be too serious and expected to be fully recovered within 1 week period as long there is no  negative developments.

Hence, Hakim Ziyech would recover in short period of time but timing of this has been one of the most crucial weeks for Galatasaray.

Turkey showed strong attitude against Croatia.

Turkish National Team has got crucial win against group favourites Croatia in Osijek with 1:0 scoreline win thanks to the goal from Baris Alper Yilmaz on 30th minute and has made very important step for getting Euro 2032 spot.

It is important here to state that it is unlikely that there has been specific tactical and physical impact towards player prior to this game and hence this win did come purely from emotionality as could be seen both with how team performed and also reactions to positions including penalty decision on 88th minute both before and after VAR decision. It needs to be mentioned that Dominik Livakovic who is reportedly being criticised in Croatia due of conceding simple goal actually has been main reason  why game ended with 1:0 scoreline as Turkey did have high number of the chances and dominating game. It also needs to be mentioned that Croatia didnt show its best game but this no doubt needs to be reduced effort and performance of Turkey during 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, this blog would also give an unpopular point that even through Turkey did improve with its performance after Stefan Kuntz, his effort should not be reduced as even if we talk about possibility of Turkey ending at top spot is being played huge role by Kuntz for sure.

UEFA has announced provisional list of stadiums for Euro 2032.

UEFA has announced list of stadiums both from Italy and Turkey for Euro 2032 as 10 stadiums has been presented by each country and within 3-years number of stadiums would be reduced to 5 by each country.

It has been noticed that even through Turkey has been stating that  it has solved stadium issue and has high level stadiums at almost each city, it has been noticed that 3 stadiums has been selected from Istanbul while from Italy side each stadium has been in different cities. Stating that it could be understood as historically football has been developed across Italy while in Turkey, as case with many things, it was centered in Istanbul and also even through all stadiums are top level, Istanbul stadiums are being more compatible and naturally has higher capacity.

It also needs to be reminded that with reduction of stadiums to 5 it could easily be expected that Istanbul would host only 1 stadium, likely Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

Basaksehirspor extends contract with team until 2027

Basaksehirspor has extended contract with its 18-year old  player Efe Arda Koyuncu until 2027 hence showing strong trust towards player and seeing high potential of the player in the team.

Arda Koyuncu, mainly due of Super League clubs not trusting young players, didnt recieve lots of playing time during this season but it needs to be stated that club does believe that he could develop into good player and hence has extended contract with him until 2027 as it is going to build strong side. It also important for such team to focus into younger player as it actually being good place for them even through their didnt invest much previously buying mainly old and experienced players.

It would be expected for Arda Koyuncu to get some playing time at the Turkish Cup when team would start its journey there.

Vincenzo Montella had an important impact towards Turkey which had possitive impact in Croatia game

Turkish National Team head coach Vincenzo Montella starts his journey with his new post with beating Croatia in Osijek thanks to the Baris Alper and probably most important has shown strong and confident performance.

Even through Vincenzo Montella appointment to national team has been seen as good development and that it would be expected to provide better game, it was expected by even most optimistic supporters that Turkey would get maximum draw. However, Turkey has shown much better performance which has been expected from them with not winning game but also has provided a strong attacking and defensive game not allowing for Croatia for most amount of the game to get control game and showing an attacking game. It has been seen from start of the game that Turkey didnt only aim to win game but also showing an attacking positive game as goal could be coming as early as on 2nd minute it has almost found an opening goal. In fact, it needs to be stated that Turkey could have scored even more but an outstanding performance of Dominik Livakovic but did found a winning goal from Baris Alper and most important team has been focussed into gameand has shown controllable and organising game. 

Croatia did have some absences in attack and also didnt provide its best performance and has been pretty far from games it has shown during World Cup 2022 but despite of that it needs to be stated that Turkey has also prevented Croatia to get used.

Without doubt Vincenzo Montella did have an important iimpact towards team as Turkey has shown confident and attacking game without showing any signs of being scared from Croatia.

Trabzonspor has appointed Abdullah Avci once again.

Trabzonspor once again appointed  Abdullah Avci to head coach position after unsuccessful period it had went through with Nenad Bjelica as Avci would likely aiming to bring strong defensive side into field but once again aiming to show strong attacking game.

Abdullah Avci as would been remembered had left team following resignation of previous CEO Ahmet Agaoglu as he wanted to open door for new CEO and as team did seek for new coach it did make fast agreement with Nenad Bjelica. An issue for Bjelica has not been his quality as coach, as he is good coach, but not being able to get adapted both to the team and to the league which let for unstable performance. With Trabzonspor chances for title are being low, despite of it being early part of the season, Avci would be focussing to be creating side which would be showing strong and positive performance on the field with organising game and he would have more than week to achieve that during this national team break.

Avci is returning to the team where he brought historical title and he would be aiming to repeat that outcome once again.

Besiktas added Yukac and Modric to technical staff

Besiktas has announced that it has appointed Hari Yukac as club's assistant coach and Toni Modric at athletic trainer as it did provide some more strength towards Besiktas caretaker coach Burak Yilmaz and filled places which were left after Senol Gunes resignation.

Hari Yukac has been working with Igor Tudor during his stay at Galatasaray and  hence is being familiar with Turkish football and also adapted to the league and hence this addition would not have much issues for adapting to expectation towards league generally and Besiktas and would allow Burak Yilmaz he would be coaching team at least for 2 months to be assisting team towards successful performance.

Time would show if this measures would have positive impact towards team unstable and mainly poor performance this season.
