What happened in Turkish football today? 15/05/2023

Will focus to get 1st win out of 3 for title as it plays against Istanbulspor.

Turkish Super League are going to resume after 1 1/2 half weeks due of exciting presentidial and parliamentary election with leaders Galatasaray meeting Istanbulspor as Istanbul giants are aiming to win next 3 games and secure title before Fenerbahce derby game.

As been noted, Galatasaray would need to win upcoming 3 games with securing before derby game regardless how Fenerbahce plays its game and this without doubt would provide extra motivation and confidence rather than stress. As Basaksehirspor game shows, Galatasaray tactically can win games when needed even things are not going well even through games prior to that does provide some hope to both Istanbulspor and Fenerbahce to some extend. Istanbulspor did find themselves outside of relegation zone and even through didnt yet secure it are close to do so and hence could be felt relaxed. However, it could be focussed to provide good performance which it shown in recent weeks especially with focussing into counter-attacks which means Galatasaray defenders always need to inside game.

Looking at condition and motivation of games among quality levels Galatasaray are being clear favourites but Istanbulspor win even through would be unexpected it would not be necessarily be huge surprise.

Gaziantep will go to CEO election on 30th May

Gaziantep which are planning to join back Super League as it didnt compete this season due of devastating destruction in city due of earthquake has announced that it would run for CEO election on 30th May, if majority not gathered it would take place on 9th June.

Even through Gaziantep are looking forward to join Super League once again it needs to be remembred that they are being from city which been strongly devastated from earthquake and hence this would have some effect into club mainly negative ones. Hence, it would be important for new administration to be willing to get into such difficult task and look for solution so it could also run pre-season period well both with transfers, financially and also performance wise. It is expected for upcoming 2 weeks we could be hearing from candidates how their aim to solve those issues and move forward club.

Without doubt, this is being one of the main election in club history as it aims to find solution of serious issues which club had due of earthquake.

Fenerbahce interested to sign Adama Traore

Fenerbahce are interested to transfer Wolverhampton Wanderers player Adama Traore who it has shown an interest in previous season as his experience could provide lots of help for team if it manages to sign him.

It is reported that club does aim to make highly competitive team for upcoming season and without doubt, Adama Traore with his experience is capable to push team forward and hence become one of the key players and possibly take leadership role which seems to be one of the areas which did been missing during this season. Stating that, there is still lots of demand to the player from other European clubs and hence Fenerbahce would need to act fast to make deal with player and his agent.

It would be good transfer for Fenerbahce if it able to sign Traore as he would be able to move forward this team with his experience.
