What happened in Turkish football today? 23/07/2019

Eljif Elmas has brought most amount of cash in Fenerbahce history from Napoli.

Napoli has finalised its transfer deal with Fenerbahce player Eljif Elmas for 18 million euro transfer fee making it most expensive player it has sold during club's history and this should not be seen as big surprise.

Eljif Elmas has been among main players who has some strong potentiality at the league and he is still developing age and still has many aspects to become strong player. Taking account that, lets say comparing with Emre Mor, Eljif Elmas is known to be hard-working player as he has shown good performance during previous season at Fenerbahce and during some games becoming key player. Among this being an important step for Eljif Elmas as he would be working with world-known coach Carlo Ancellotti, the money which would be coming from Napoli could be to provide some calmness for FFP regulations and also spend into some upcoming transfers near future.

Fenerbahce has played also an important role at making sure that Eljif Elmas becoming player as he is right now and hence should be also proud as team to get into such good transfer fee in return.

Basaksehirspor has terminated contract with Alpaslan Ersen

Basaksehirspor has terminated contract with its player Alpaslan Ersen as player didnt recieve much gaming time during his stay at the team and it became clear that club didnt have much plans for future.

According to statement from club, deal has been made in mutual agreement which does show that either Alpaslan Ersen also saw that his future at the club is not bright or he was also considering to leave club during this summer. It is clear with pre-season training camp going on and also with new head coach, Okan Buruk, we could see players leaving side and hence openning door to new players which players would be using during next season. With Alpaslan Ersen not recieving lots of playing time but being young player, it would be curious if Super League teams would show interest towards him during this summer but it would be unlikely to be seen from top clubs at least.

This move as been mentioned however does show that Basaksehirspor are going with revision of their squad right now and has openned space for new players.

Udinese will not raise its offer for Dorukhan Tokoz.

Udinese has decided not to raise its transfer offer from 8 million euro for Besiktas player Dorukhan Tokoz despite of factor that club didnt plan to sell player for less than 10 million euro.

Such a move from Udinese could be explained due of factor that its offer has been too high and also for Roma getting into transfer fight according to rumours. Udinese has shown strong interest towards Dorukhan Tokoz since transfer window has been openned but Besiktas made it clear that it doesnt have an interest to sell player raising its transfer fee. Udinese until now did show strong interest and negotiation skill but it does look like Besiktas has found point where Udinese cant pass and at least player will not move to them.

It is still not 100% sure if he would stay at Besiktas, but club's and also player attitude makes its most likely outcome for now.
