Fenerbahce has got comfortable win against Adana Demirspor during 5th round 2nd leg game.
Fenerbahce has managed to win Turkish Cup 5th round 2nd leg game with 4:1 scoreline against Adana Demirspor and has managed to win this tie with 10:1 aggregate with showing similar seriousness to the game as was given at the 1st leg.
In fact, today's game has been very similar to 1st leg as it has started in more or less balanced way with both sides showing controllable game but as game continued Fenerbahce has controlled game and has found quality 4 goals with quality football. Even through some players at the squad has lacked to be concentrated towards game which did lead to some mistakes such as conceded goal by Fenerbahce as Mauricio Isla did make simple mistake at his defence. Still, Fenerbahce has kept high concentration towards game and has continued its winning spirit which it has started since last national team break as it managed to win 6 games back-to-back both in Super League and Turkish Cup. In fact, not a single club among last 16 at Turkish Cup would like to meet with Fenerbahce right now. One of the key players of the team during game has been Fernandao with finding two goals and has send message to Aykut Kocaman that he is ready to play at starting 11.
Adana Demirspor played in similar way as as it did during 1st leg game as it started game very well and in fact has found good goal during that moment however 2nd half it lost concentration once again and allowed Fenerbahce to win game comfortably.
Fenerbahce without doubt has got very important motivation for last 2 games at the Super League of 1st half of season as it would meet with struggling Karabukspor and Konyaspor.
Galatasaray administrators might be dissapointed with a loss during 2nd leg but main aim was to get to last 16.
Galatasaray has been among big 4 teams at the Turkish Cup 5th round games which didnt have much trouble during its tie against Sivas Belediyespor as it has managed to get to the last 16 with 6:3 aggregate despite of losing 2nd leg game with 2:1 scoreline.
Since Galatasaray was aiming to keep its winning spirit which it needs to end 1st half of Super League as leaders their would have expected for them to win as was admitted by club administrator Cenk Ergun following game but once again it is hard to blame players who came out to the game being aware that their have qualified and even when it has conceded in last minute the sadness was just short one as it didnt mean anything in sense of the tie. Some people might feel dissapointed for poor performance of youth players and substitutes in same reason as been mentioned above but as been stated their psychology and focus has been also affected. Still those players need to carry on recieving playing time at least during last 16 stage whoever opponents will be.
Galatasaray did start Turkish Cup good way but their opponents wasnt hard one either. With Turkish Cup format changing making it more suitable for teams to play at the league its still can take into 2nd place as it aims league title.
Besiktas seems to be satisfied with its modest performance against Manisaspor.
As been stated at our entry yesterday Besiktas has provided much more modest performance against struggling Manisaspor and has ended game with 1:1 draw, making an aggregate scoreline of 10:1.
As remembered, Besiktas has recieved lots of criticism for beating Manisaspor with 9:0 scoreline against team which is having very difficult period and financial situation at the 1st division. It has shown much more calmer game without going much forward and only finding 1 goal with help of Aras Ozbiliz at the game which it came out mainly with reserves. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has been satisfied with result stating that it was fair result at the end of the game and additing that it was good training game for them. There are still questions if how much Besiktas would be taking this tournament as it has two main targets which is to get 3rd title and provide good Champions League performance and it would become clear if it would be aim to be successful at 3rd tournament as it would be meeting luckily with fellow Super League squad.
Besiktas still would be happy as it did get 10:1 impressive aggregate and would look forward for last couple Super League until mid-season break.
