What happened in Turkish football today? 02/12/2022

Mauro Icardi injury expects to last around 1 month.

Galatasaray has announced that recovery from injury of Mauro Icardi which he did get during training session would be taking place around 1 month as he could miss around 2 games when league will be resumed.

It needs to be mentioned that such development would be seen as negative aspect without doubt as player has been in good form in last weeks prior to World Cup 2022 break and with showing also good performance in training session, this injury would be seen as unwanted. Stating that even through there is possibility for recovery to be taking place up to 1.5 months, there is possibility for him to recover even before league would be resumed but as been noted it is been clear. Without doubt, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk would be currently looking into alternative squads and tactics to see how team could play without him.

This development would be surely be unwanted one for club and right now whole team would hope he would recover fast.

Luan Peres has resumed training sessions.

Fenerbahce player Luan Peres has resumed training session after recovering from injury, even through he is taking place in some parts of the training session.

Since there are still 3 weeks until league would be resumed, Peres would be expected to be fully recovered and possibly attend to training session fully in upcoming period and be able to play for 90 minutes on the field. His absence without has provided some difficulties in defence with lack of alternative players on that position for Jorge Jesus and hence he would be satisfied for him to join back to the team as he does pretty important role in tactical game.

Without doubt, Luan Peres would be seen as pleasant development and would help side to provide better defensive game and be closer to style of player Jorge Jesus seeks for.

Fenerbahce declined offer from Rennes for Ferdi Kadioglu

Fenerbahce has declined 10 million euro transfer offer from French side Rennes for Ferdi Kadioglu as club aims would not sell him for less than double of this amount.

With Fenerbahce were in same group with Rennes during Europa League, Ferdi Kadioglu surely has impressed side with his performance among ones which he showed in domestic league and other Europa League games. But it needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce doesnt consider to sell him for less than 20 million euro as he is being one of the key players for the side and not before end of the season, so Rennes would now need to show how much they want him and be willing to raise an offer to purchase him.

It would be interesting to see how Rennes would act and we would follow developments  in our blog accounts when they happen.
