What happened in Turkish football today? 08/03/2018

FIFA has provided transfer ban to Trabzonspor for not sending 250,000 euro to the Trencin for Matus Bero transfer.

FIFA has send letter to Trabzonspor stating that it has provided them with transfer ban for summer transfer window prior to 2018/19 season due of not sending 250,000 euro transfer fee towards Slovakian team Trencin for Matus Bero transfer.

Trabzonspor without doubt has made huge mistake for not sending this cash and has recieved most harsh fine which could be given in this condition and even through it is expected that team would be going towards CAS to ask for change for this ban, unless it has any strong prove for the case it will get this ban without doubt. It is known that Trabzonspor is currently at economical poor situation and also Trabzonspor head coach Riza Calimbay did argue during recent games about poor squad at the team and hence this news timing when club would once again look for ways to become stronger for next season would be providing lots of the damages without doubt. Again, the mistake has been back with transfer deal with Trencin in 1st place as it should have foreseen to be able to pay this amount of cash. Trencin did right move and got well-deserved justice in this view and this does show that Trabzonspor was not well managed when transfer was made in 2016.

Trabzonspor as been stated will be going to CAS but with decision to be unlikely on their favour it would need to go through some changes with transfer politics in summer, especially of current players.

Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz would be having meeting with UEFA regarding FFP on 9th March.

Galatasaray would be going towards UEFA meeting to discuss about its current FFP condition and also aim to reduce fine and ban which it could be recieving from FFP for not following their guidelines in recent periods.

Main object for Galatasaray is to make sure that as CEO Mustafa Cengiz is willing to solve those issues in upcoming period as UEFA for sure would give him chance as he is newly-elected and all this mess is not happened due of him. It is reported that chances for him to recieve competition ban at the UEFA is very unlikely and most likely fine would be limited transfer during summer transfer window, where it needs to be make break-even amount of players sold vs bought, which is best option to do so for the team. It is reported that Galatasaray administration are looking positively for meeting believing it would be able to get least possible damage for this difficult condition as UEFA is willing to listen, understand and aid them and also other clubs. There is still option for most harsh ban to be given from competition however but it would be seen as unsurprising,

Naturally, administration and head coach Fatih Terim are waiting for verdict for UEFA so it can start planning effectively summer transfer window strategy.

Fenerbahce has real chances to get league title even through it is difficult task.

One of the questions at the Turkish footballing world right now is does Fenerbahce have any chance to get league title at the end of the season or it is out of the race with 10 weeks to be played and 6 points behind league leaders and 3 teams above them.

Even through 6 point difference is not big difference at all, the problem is how team is performing during last 2 weeks and also factor that there are 3 teams above them right now. However, there is case that Fenerbahce does have easier fixture among other teams with only meeting with Galatasaray during 26th week. With taking account dominance of home ground of Fenerbahce it would be coming out with strong confidence and be closer for a win. Other clubs would be meeting with each other and at this game, all clubs above them, would be losing points which does provide some chance with biggest one as during all this meeting their would be draw. Therefore, among all league title contenders in sense of table Fenerbahce has most difficult task however coming to the fixture it has easiest, so as long as it wins all of the games it can get league title and it did happen before in history of football.

Therefore, it is important for head coach Aykut Kocaman and players to stay at their focus for league title and give all their best for last 10 games as things can turn in this interesting season.
