What happened in Turkish football today? 22/07/2022

Konyaspor got confident win against BATE.

Konyaspor has got very important win against BATE Borisov with 3:0 scoreline at the game which goes as an away game but side has actually played at home ground due but without supporters.

Even through Konyaspor did looked to be much more less experienced at European front compare to BATE, when looking at the team it is being in much better condition and this has affected quite positively during 90 minutes of the game. Konyaspor has been side which has dominated game from start to an end always looking for opportunities and converting 3 goals out of this chances. To some extend, this side did look to be much more experienced than BATE when looking with performance and with such scoreline it could be coming out for 2nd leg with high relaxation mood next week.

Konyaspor hence has started its football season at very high note and provided very positive perspective.

Basaksehirspor needs to improve for 2nd leg game.

Basaksehirspor didnt start its 2022-23 season at good note, as it got unexpected draw against Maccabi Netanya at home ground with providing ineffective game.

It could be noted that after conceding goal on 2nd minute, Basaksehirspor did show some reaction with getting some opportunities but it needs to be mentioned that there were not too creative and apart of few chances didnt provide much pressure to Maccabi Netanya goal. Red card of side has also affected quite negatively to the side without doubt. Only positive aspect is that side did been focussed for most amount of the game and still has found goal on 82 minute which possibly could bring them 3rd qualifier ticket as long as it wins next week.

Basaksehirspor did provide some attacking game but it needs to improve if it wants to get to 3rd qualifier next week.

Rangers has made principal deal with Ridvan Yilmaz

Rangers has made principal deal with Besiktas player Ridvan Yilmaz for 6.5 million euro + 20% share of next transfer.

Ridvan Yilmaz has been among most speaking transfer stories in Turkey during this summer as there were reports that he would be joining either Eintracht Frankfurt or Torino but without making deal with Besiktas, it does look like Rangers has been side which has managed to make final decision with transfer of the player. It needs to be mentioned that with strong willingness of Ridvan Yilmaz want to continue career in Europe has also played crucial role for this transfer deal.

With Besiktas getting close to make deal but which been cancelled more or less in last minute, we still would need to meet for final announcement of Yilmaz joining Rangers to make sure.
