What happened in Turkish football today? 18/07/2022

Fenerbahce will play with Sturm Graz if it beats Dinamo Kiev

Fenerbahce has been drawn against Sturm Graz during Champions League 3rd qualifying round if it manages to get through Dinamo Kiev during 2nd qualifying round as to some extend it would meet with easier opponent.

Fenerbahce as it is known is currently aiming to get into Champions League group stage with Jorge Jesus even through this would be pretty long journey with in total of 6 games to achieve this aim. It needs to be mentioned that even through Austrian football is being on rise in recent years, its club football didsnt show much movement forward and are not seen to be tough opponent with Austrian clubs failing to reach to group stage for long period. Stating that Fenerbahce would need to focus to Dinamo Kiev game before that as it does have trouble with Ukrainian clubs.

If Fenerbahce would be relegated from Champions League, it would meet with Slovacko at Europa League but quite naturally this is being scenario which club would aim to avoid for sure.

Basaksehirspor is drawn with Breidabalik and Buducnost if it beets Maccabi Netanya

Basaksehirspor which does have an aim to get to group stages of Conference League would be meeting with with winner of Breidabalik and Buducnost if it manages to beat Israeli side Maccabi Netanya.

In similar manner as Fenerbahce, it would need to mention that opponent at next stage would be less tough than Israeli side even through it is expected for them to get to the next stage without much trouble as it is has seen as favourite. Without doubt, Basaksehirspor head coach Emre Belozoglu would like to be playing at European football in upcoming season and hence would be taking serious both games in this stages.

Basaksehirspor would need to focus for sure Conference League and possibly make it main priority for upcoming weeks.

Konyaspor has drawn with winner of Kopar and Vaduz tie if it beats BATE.

Konyaspor would be meeting with pretty easy opponents at the Conference League 3rd qualifier if it beats BATE as it is going to meet with winner of Kopar and Vaduz.

With Konyaspor looking forward to BATE game an opponent which is not in strong form as it has been some years ago, would be continuing in pretty straight-forward route in the next stage of the tournament. Therefore, Konyaspor would be seen as favourite in upcoming games but still needs to provide focus and possibly make some more transfer in upcoming days.

Konyaspor does look to be favourite and hence should be looking in upcoming games in confident manner.
