Fenerbahce didnt provide enough pressure to Dinamo Kiev.
Champions League 2nd qualifying round 1st leg game between Dinamo Kiev and Fenerbahce has ended with goalless draw at the game where Fenerbahce did look to be not physically ready as their provided slow tempo game and did lack providing support from teammates.
It needs to be mentioned that opponent Dinamo Kiev possibly didnt look as in good form and motivated as would been expected as it aimed to show some fighting spirit as it represented team of the country which are currently being under invasion from Russia. This led to the hand of Fenerbahce without doubt as opponent didnt provide strong attacking performance even through did show some good counter-attacks. However, Fenerbahce didnt look to be providing to strong attacking game looking to be slow tempo and lacked creativity. In fact, in few moments when Fenerbahce did provide some pressure to Dinamo Kiev goal which led for side to be making some mistakes and Fenerbahce getting some opportunities but it did lack with converting them effectively. In addition, it needs to be mentioned that referee didnt show great performance but blaming outcome to him would be unfair.
Russian invasion to Ukraine, did affect negatively to Dinamo Kiev which could be seen from their performance wasnt in great physical form but still managed to prevent Fenerbahce to provide lots of possession and did look to be showing effective tactical game.
Fenerbahce didnt provide necesarily performance which been expected from them but in positive note it did end game with advantegous score for 2nd leg.
Konyaspor would start its European journey against BATE.
Konyaspor are going to start its 2022-23 season with Conference League game against Belarussian side BATE Borisov at home ground as it would be seen as favourite for the game but still could be tough game.
As been noted in our previous blog entries, BATE has marked its history some years ago with showing some confident performance in Champions League but this side is being pretty far from that level and is being side which could beatable by Konyaspor if it provides it top performance. It is known that Konyaspor does have some high aims for upcoming season aiming to have similar season as it did during last season so this game could be high posibility for side to show an important message for upcoming season. Therefore, Konyaspor would need to show some attacking game and provide enough pressure to BATE to show themselves as being favourite for game.
Konyaspor would be starting season which it has high aims against BATE during Conference League which it has some good aims.
Basaksehirspor will look for win against Maccabi Netanya
Basaksehirspor would be starting its 2022-23 season with Conference League against Israeli side Maccabi Netanya as it has some high aims for upcoming season and for this tie.
Basaksehirspor didnt have very good season on previous year without showing performance which would be suitable for side which did win title 2 years ago, so it would be seeing upcoming season as new beginning and once again to prove themselves as top side and this game could be important game to send such message. Basaksehirspor did strength its squad significantly and would be coming as side which would be aiming to show top performance both in this tie and could be seen as high potential to win this game without doubt. Maccabi Netanya stating that is being tough opponent and needs to be careful to win game.
Hence, Basaksehirspor would be coming as favourite but it needs to provide strong game to win game without much issues.
