What happened in Turkish football today? 10/07/2018

Fenerbahce transferred Altinordu players Berke Elvan and Baris Alici.

Fenerbahce has made transfer deal with Altinordu players Berke Elvan and Baris Alici as it is believed the talks has been started during last week of Altinordu administrators with Fenerbahce ones where the deal would be able to satisfy all the bodies.

As it is known and been stated several times despite of Altinordu playing at 1st league it has been very good academy of youth players which it is capable to sell or loan to Super League clubs. Right now, Fenerbahce is believed to make very good deal with Altinordu with two of their potential future stars player Berke Elvan and Baris Alici. Fenerbahce hence would be able to get players with good future and backgroudn while players will have an opportunity to compete at higher level and show their skills to all Turkey and possibly to the Europe and hence make an important step in their career. Fenerbahce with new administration would be expected to provide much better focus towards its younger players and hence this could be seen an important development for Elvan and Alici.  Players need to still to be aware that club has high aims and might not recieve lots of playing time though during  next season.

Still, Fenerbahce has great an opportunity to do their part at building strong team for future and also provide service to whole Turkish football as both players could become stars in Turkey.

Cuneyt Cakir has been appointed for World Cup semi-final game between Croatia and England.

Turkish referee has been selected to World Cup 2018 semi-final game between Croatia and England after having good performance in previous 2 games.

Turkey's only representative at World Cup 2018, referee Cuneyt Cakir has been appointed to referee one of the crucial games of the whole tournament as he would be taking place at 2nd semi-final between Croatia and England as both sides did come out to the tournament but due of high number of suprises and other aspects, has shown great performance and overstated their status. England has reached to final of biggest tournament only in 1966 when it won it while Croatia never has reached to that stage and hence all teams would be coming out with an aim to write an important history. This factor could provide some importance of Cuneyt Cakir staying at the focus of the game even through we might be seeing mainly controlling game. Cakir so far has refereed 2 games at the tournament and has shown some good performance which without doubt has led him to get such an important tie without doubt. Cuneyt Cakir has proven once again to everyone in Turkey and around world that he is among best referees right now in the world for sure.

If Cakir keep carrying on such performance as referee he would be able final game of the major tournament for sure.

Galatasaray has made deal with Karabukspor player Caglar Soyuncu Akbaba.

It is reported that Galatasaray has made transfer deal with Karabukspor player Caglar Soyuncu Akbaba who despite of pretty poor performance of his club last season still was able to provide an important saves.

It is known that Galatasaray is looking for goalkeeper who would be taking place behind Fernando Muslera and aiming for Turkish ones. Without doubt, Caglar Soyuncu Akbaba is great option for this as with younger age and having good potentiality to some extend club would also invest to the future of the aim. It would be expected that with taking account that he moving to Galatasaray and chance to experience Champions League at least a bit he would not create much chance for being 2nd goalkeeper and still for sure would be aiming to prove himself to technical staff and likely during Turkish Cup games. Again this are only rumours right now but if this deal would be made it would be great opportunity for all bodies who are involved with this transfer.

As been stated if this deal is made Galatasaray would solve its 2nd goalkeeper issue without spending too much transfer fee also.
