What happened in Turkish football today? 07/09/2023

Turkey would aim to control its destiny at group with win against Armenia.

Turkish National Team would be resuming its Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a home game against Armenia which would be expected to be pretty tough game as Armenian side got some chances to fight for 2nd spot due of recent results.

It needs to be mentioned that Wales losing some points during last games of the qualifying stages back in June, Turkey more or less did get its chances for Euro 2024 which it really wants to get at in the end of the season even more higher and with a support of supporters at Eskisehir it would be aiming without doubt to continue such top level performance with a positive game. It needs to be mentioned that as mentioned above Armenia are currently are having realistic chances to end group at top 2 but as it doesnt have much pressure to do so it would be aiming to show an open and attacking game very likely to which Turkey would need ot be aware of during game.

Turkey as would be expected are being favourites but Armenia would be aiming to continue getting surprising results in this group for sure.

Trabzonspor terminates contract with Semedo Djaniny.

Trabzonspor has terminated contract with its player Semedo Djaniny who has also joined Al Fayed becoming latest player to be joining Saudi Arabic league in this summer transfer window.

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has been considering to sell Djaniny since start of the summer transfer window as it didnt have much plans for him in upcoming games and sending him to league which does consider to spend lots of money would be also financially good development for Trabzonspor. Hence, Trabzonspor did sell player which could financially and also in squad provide some issues as he would been as mentioned hardly get some playing time.

Hence, all parties in this deal without doubt are being satisfied and has turned into hand how all parties wanted to do for sure.

Gaziantep appoints Marius Sumudica until end of the season.

Gaziantep has officially appointed Marius Sumudica as club's head coach until end of the season as scandalous but in same time pretty successful coach comes back to this league.

As been mentioned on our previous blog Sumudica tends to make an interesting statements regarding his team and league which could raise some tension and make annoyed supporters, pundits and players but it needs to be mentioned that as he being coaching at mediocre sides with him team did get some good results with possibly with such controversial statements does also sometimes provide extra motivation to players. They are good reasons for him to get some good outcomes as team is being currently with 0 points after 4 weeks.

Therefore, we could expect some unusual statements from Sumudica but in same time good outcomes from Gaziantep in rest of this season.
