Basaksehirspor has reached to semi-final of Turkish Cup with beating Galatasaray.
Basaksehirspor has reached to the Turkish Cup semi-final after beating league leaders Galatasaray with 3:2 scoreline as away side has always been getting ahead while Istanbul giant was catching up with them.
It needs to be mentioned foremost that Galatasaray did come out to this game with a focus to get to next stage as it did come out more or less with an ideal squad and has provided strong attacking game with looking for chances and finding goals when it got behind. Therefore, there was not much issues with willingness but this game did show some weaknesses at the defence as it did concede 3 goals, which has been pretty unusual for side which doesnt concede high number of the chances in the league. Trabzonspor lost game with poor performance during 2nd half.
Trabzonspor has been relegated from Turkish Cup at quarter-final against Ankaragucu as it has been seen only aim for rest of the season as it has conceded 3 goals during 2nd half while winning with 1:0 scoreline.
It is hard to state that Trabzonspor especially showed dominant performance during 1st half but still it did looked to be more into control compare to opponents but things has changed entirely during 2nd half. Trabzonspor has shown defensive performance in the start of 2nd half with only winning minumum scoreline and has paid price from conceding a goal from Ali Sowe on 51st minute. Following that game went into control to Ankaragucu who did 2 goals and has entered to semi-final stage in tournament 1st time since 2000. This result has led for Trabzonspor head coach Orhan Ak to resign from his post after 3 games as side wasnt able to provide good performance and showed old habits.
This game to some extend has shown more or less performance from Trabzonspor of whole season while Ankaragucu did provide strong performance in 2nd half and got through in deserved manner.
Fenerbahce would be aiming to send strong message against Kayserispor.
Fenerbahce would be returning to Turkish Cup as it would be playing at quarter-final against Kayserispor and would be seeking to bounce back from loss to Besiktas in dramatic manner.
Without doubt, outcome of Besiktas game and also manner it has lost to game had some serious negative impact towards Fenerbahce players and technical staff and hence club would be aiming to show serious bounce back. It needs to be mentioned that few weeks ago Fenerbahce did show good performance against Kayserispor in the league but it would need to stated that Kayserispor would be providing more willingness at Turkish Cup as it could be seen such tournament more importantly. However, Fenerbahce would feel motivated to show once again that its being good side and Kayserispor when looking into qualities is being good opponent.
Fenerbahce hence could be seen as favourites both with level of quality and also motivation to show strong bounce back after derby loss.
