Fenerbahce has regained its motivation following Sivasspor 4:1 win.

Fenerbahce has got a very important motivational boost following 4:1 win against Sivasspor during Super League 12th week game where Roberto Soldado has provided hat-trick within 20 minutes and played most important role for a win.

Without doubt, Fenerbahce needed to get this win for upcoming games and aim to end at high note at least its 1st half of the season and its just did that. In addition, to this important win it was also lucky that teams which it as at title race contenters have lost points apart of Basaksehirspor and Kayserispor who are above them. It became clear from such high level performance from Fenerbahce players from start of the game that it has regained high number of motivational boost at the national team break and has returned to the league in right motivation and set of mind which was clear. Apart of providing one of its fast hat-tricks during this season, Roberto Soldado has also found his 1st goal in 20 seconds after being introduced to the field following substitution. Fenerbahce has got an important comfortable win when it mattered most. 

Fenerbahce has shown great character following last 2 weeks crises with its football which has almost brought resignation of its head coach Aykut Kocaman as it has won with comfortable scoreline of 4:1 against Sivasspor during Super League 12th week game thanks to Roberto Soldado hat-trick.

It was important for Fenerbahce to win game as apart of Basaksehirspor and Kayserispor, all of the teams above them at the standings has lost points at this week and has provided good chance to gain some position and also reduce point difference to 6 points against league leaders and hence put themselves directly to league leadership race. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has shown great character at achieving that and has won a game after getting draws as it has conceded in last minute at the last 2 games at the league. Meanwhile, one of the most important factors has been of Roberto Soldado who could not anticipated find goals, and during today's game has found hat-trick which has brought win and without doubt has become player of the game. Without doubt this scoreline is what Fenerbahce needed urgently during poor performance at last 2 weeks and with other results has got an important win for its aims for league title. Galatasaray has lost to Basaksehirspor with very poor performance. 

Galatasaray once again has lost a game against "big" teams and has carried on poor performance of Igor Tudor against those teams as this time, it has lost to Basaksehirspor with 5:1 scoreline where Emmanuel Adebayor has dominated game with his hat-trick.

Basaksehirspor has won very comfortably against league leaders.

Basaksehirspor has provided a very comfortable and important win against Galatasaray with 5:1 scoreline and has got same points with leaders of the league and has put itself back as one of the strongest candidates for league title once again.

It needs to be stated that prior to game it was expected by many that game would be played in different manner especially from side of Galatasaray. It did look during the game that Galatasaray had a difficulty to get into the game as it had trouble to create effective football and didnt manage to control game which by naturally has provided advantage to their opponents.  Therefore, with the fact that Galatasaray not being able to get into the mood of the game and losing its attacking football with fast-paced game which led them into leadership didnt get into that performance today. It needs to be stated that Basaksehirspor didnt also come out with strong players such as Emre Belozoglu, Caicara which hence led for Galatasaray to have simpler game but it didnt manage to use those possibility.
Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor didnt manage to get upper hand of the game. What is most important it didnt manage to stop Emmanuel Adebayor who has shown top level performance today.

Basaksehirspor meanwhile has shown great organised game today against Galatasaray and with help of the Adebayor has managed to win game with 5:1 scoreline and has provided game with right tempo against Istanbul giants.

Fenerbahce needs to convert its good motivation created in national team break to the result against Sivasspor. 

Fenerbahce are going to meet against Sivasspor during Super League 12th week game which would be their 1st game after the crises following Osmanlispor crises it had at the team with many talks that Aykut Kocaman is going to resign.

Following that crises, Fenerbahce has aimed to regain its motivation and self-belief during national team break and their are some signs that it has managed to do that but its important to make it even stronger with good play against Sivasspor and therefore its important for them to play a very good game against their opponents and get into winning mood once again and regain self-belief. It wont be easy as it does have two key players who are Isla and Mathieu Valbuena but it does have good strength with current squad against Sivasspor. However, as it been stated so far during this season biggest opponent for Fenerbahce would be themselves as their mistakes especially at defence has led them to lose so much important points during this season. However, if Fenerbahce would play with right set of mind it would come out as strong favourite.

Fenerbahce does need to win this game in urgent manner to get back into title race or it would get much further from its opportunities to win league title during this season.

Besiktas didnt manage to find goal against Akhisarspor apart of dominating game from start to end. 

Besiktas didnt manage to win against Akhisarspor during Super League 12th week game as game has ended with goalless draw as it has dominated game from start to end but couldnt find a key goal during whole game.

Besiktas did come out to the game with an aim to win which could be seen from start of the game when Jeremain Lens has found a very good chance but didnt convert it. However, it needs to be stated that key moment of the game has been certainly penalty position which was missed by Ricardo Quaresma and didnt follow up with additional shot by Negredo. That missing penalty has certainly led Akhisarspor to provide much more stronger defence and didnt allow Besiktas to provide great last shot moments as it gained motivation for game, but another problem for Besiktas has been not to having last minute shot. Besiktas did provide very good attacking football but the role of Akhisarspor has played an important goal which allowed one of highly excited 0:0 scoreline game. Meanwhile, this has been 1st game of Besiktas at home where it didnt concede goal. Without doubt even through as been stated Besiktas did provide good performance with high chances, the game against Porto for Besiktas did affect negatively to the psychologically.

Basaksehirspor and Galatasaray game promises to be with high tension as both sides would only play for a win.

Without doubt the most important game of this week would be taken place between Galatasaray and Basaksehirspor as top two places are going to meet and result would decide if Galatasaray will carry on its leadership with strong point difference or Basaksehirspor will catch them as point difference is 3 points.

Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir has been appointed among referees for World Cup. 

Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir among his assistants Bahadir Duran and Tarik Ongun has been selected to the World Cup referee list, this time refereeing at Russia between 14th June-15th July next year and being only representative from Turkey once again.

Even through Cuneyt Cakir carries on being heavily criticised in Turkey, he is still praised by FIFA and UEFA and carries on getting important games which includes latest World Cup 2018 European play-off 1st leg game between Sweden and Italy where he has shown great performance and recieved praise apart from Italian media. He has potential to get as far as to knockout stages of the tournament and even semi-final at World Cup if he carries showing this kind of performance as referee. Of course, until World Cup he needs to stay at form at the Super League and in UEFA competitions and it would be expected that he could be appointed to more games in near future.

Cuneyt Cakir has good potentiality to show good performance at the tournament and hence carry on high level performance in this level next season.

Besiktas will aim to get 3 wins back to back at the league but Akhisarspor would give some difficult time to them.

Following international duty, Super League is going to return with Super League 12th week game between Besiktas and Akhisarspor which is promising to be very exciting game and tough one for Besiktas as Akhisarspor are among teams who are in form during this season.

Even through Besiktas could been argued that the game has been played too early in the week following national team break and would rather to play on 18th November, it needs to be noted that it does have Champions League crucial game against Porto on 21st November which led for TFF to set date as such. Besiktas which did have a negative period during this season would be certainly aiming to get its 3rd win during this season as it did have bad period for 4 weeks where it didnt win game and certainly set an eye for race for the leadership once again as it is current 5 point behind league leaders Galatasaray. But as been stated Akhisarspor did provide pretty good performance during this season and are having a memorable season with young coach Okan Buruk and without doubt are aiming to provide tough game to their opponents.

FIFA would pay salary of Robin van Persie due of recieved injury recieved at national duty.

It became clear that FIFA did make an agreement to pay salary of Fenerbahce player Robin van Persie from 28th September as his injury has been come from his international duty rather than at the club, due of new rule which has been set from organisation themselves in this season.

Antalyaspor CEO Ali Safak Ozturk has called suddenly for CEO election to take place in near future.

Antalyaspor CEO Ali Safak Ozturk has called for CEO election which has also been seen as big surprise in similar manner as was resignation of Karabukspor CEO Feridun Tankut last week. The fact Ali Safak Ozturk has announced election with tears in his eyes brings more surprise.

Stating that, even through there were not only reports that number of people has wanted for Ali Safak Ozturk to resign, the results which were given by team so far during this season does show that situation are not going well and its very behind of its set target, as you all remembered during summer Antalyaspor and our blog has stated several times has been aiming for 4th position at this season. Taking account that it did transfer number of great players which are capable to achieve that during this season, it does show that things are not going well. With resignation of Riza Calimbay and appointment of Adriano as head coach didnt push much forward with result. Therefore, it does look like Ali Safak Ozturk who in fact did look in administrative side to be good CEO seems to take responsibility for poor results and now club would go to election.

The date of CEO election will be announced in upcoming future and it is still unclear if Ozturk would re-run as CEO election candidate or not.

The talks about poor performance of Turkish National Team in this recent period has been mainly been put towards team head coach Mircea Lucescu but it is doubtful is situation seems to be only with him or systematically.

This blog and many football analysts in country has stated that the situation is more deeper with that which could be also seen also with poorer performances at the youth national teams as their had shown similar results. The problem as been stated a lot in recent periods is that football clubs does have big problems with its youth academies which hence affect the fact that number of players doesnt come out as much as everyone has wished for. Therefore, its important to work on with improving this academies from clubs and also possibly more investment given by TFF to solve those issues directly as in otherwise there will not be any solutions at near future unfortunately. Therefore, everyone who is responsible at building strong academy at every team and level should work on those issues, make SWOT analysis and find solutions for this issue.

Hence, everyone should take responsibility and aim to make very strong youth academy with all clubs in Turkey, taking example Altinordu and Germany and build future stars to Turkey.

Oguzhan Ozyakup has signed extension contract without having any agreements about it. 

It became clear that Besiktas player Oguzhan Ozyakup according to some reports has signed an extension contract with his club even through there is no set data when that extension would end.

This action doesnt take place a lot in footballing world and does show how much Oguzhan Ozyakup wants to stay at the team and is willing to go to this kind of risks regardless into the deal. In same time, since player is very happy at the team and is continuing to play an important role for success of the team this decision by him should not see as big surprise and to some extend could be even stated that was expected by him. That doesnt mean that clubs around Europe will not show strong interest and try to transfer him since their is no official extension contract announced but it would be very difficult case for him unless there would be offer which Besiktas will recieve and will not be able to refuse, and their might get it with Ozyakup performance at Champions League.

But this move mainly shows how much Ozyakup doesnt want to leave team during this winter transfer window or near future.

What happened in Turkish football today? 14/11/2017

Turkish National Team doesnt show bright future from those friendlies.

Turkish National Team didnt end its 2017 year in very high note as after not getting qualified for the World Cup 2018, it has now lost two friendly games against Romania and Albania without providing any promising football during this period.

It could been argued in defence of the Mircea Lucescu that he has purposefully allowed to play youth players who didnt get much playing time at their teams and helped getting adapted to the team and hence working on future generation. But this process certainly will not help him or even more importantly could lead him to waste time at finding the best squad during Euro 2020 qualifiers which is crucial here. The fact that those players didnt get used to each other did provide such a poor performance especially against Albania who had 1 less man for more than 1 half. Of course, if all this work and will bring a very strong national team next September than he might be praised for this experiments and working with youth in last 2 games but for now we are seeing poor results, and of course public and sports media are expecting good results from national team side even when its only friendly games. It is true that this team is not giving much promise for its future and the problem needs to be looked more deeper and not only at Mircea Lucescu.

Turkish National Team did have trouble to get upper hand against Romania and Albania during this period not only with goal score but also game wise and this is indeed worrying image of a team.

Turkish National Team head coach Mircea Lucescu would stay at his position

Turkish National Team head coach Mircea Lucescu after ending chances for World Cup 2018 qualification, has been working mainly as an advocate for youth and potential stars of Turkish football which could be good news in long run but right now it doesnt seem to show any advantages with team results.

It became clear that Lucescu has met with Turkish Football Federation today to discuss about his future at this position and both sides has come to conclusion that he should stay as head coach and has also talked about future of the Turkish football and national team especially. It is certain that Lucescu did discuss about importance of working of youth players because if he didnt and focus on other things would mean he lies to the media. It needs to be stated that Lucescu still wants to work with this job among controversial this decision might bring, could also mean in optimistic note that he possibly sees potential with this team. This blog usually is against for change of head coaches in frequent and as team doesnt go to World Cup it should given him chance to work with team and see what plans he has until at least start of Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Lucescu is risky coach right now as he tends to speak more rather than showing results but once again maybe he is working on process and things might get better with him.

FIFPro sees ban for Osmanlispor player Ozer Hurmaci for 6 months too harsh. 

FIFPro has announced today that ban which was given to Osmanlispor player Ozer Hurmaci for 6 months for asking compensation for Trabzonspor but later what turned out to be that he has ended contract in unethical manner towards him as too much.

FIFPro has especially focussed into amount of compensation asked from him during this process stating that fact that it is higher than what Hurmaci has requested from Trabzonspor is unallowed and needs to be changed. Therefore, organisation makes it clear that Trabzonspor is demanding much bigger share which it needs to do regardless if player did some wrongdoing or not. Of course, FIFPro as organisation representing players doesnt have many areas to act upon, it would lead to Trabzonspor to get negative coverage around Europe due of announcement which organisation has made and might even affect how players would percieve during transfer negotiations in short period of time and it is interesting if this could lead to some changes of ban, even through it still very unlikely.

Still, as mentioned this has been good coverage for Ozer Hurmaci and even through not huge one but still has provided pressure towards TFF and Trabzonspor after this.
