Fenerbahce got crucial win with tactical patient win.

Fenerbahce has got very important win against Alanyaspor and has risen to 2nd spot with 2 points behind leaders Besiktas with also passing today's opponents on the table despite of showing mainly defensive game.

Even through Fenerbahce didnt provide high tempo which is been used from them at home ground it could be related due of performance of its opponets who also fight for league leadership and also not very good results in recent weeks at home. Despite of providing much more defensive game compare to opponent which did come out for win clearly, Fenerbahce did look to be in control of the game especially until conceding however it needs to be noted that side did have some very good opportunities as game been developing as Fenerbahce didnt convert them with having some wrong last passes by them which was due of lack to be aware of positions of other players around them. Meanwhile, Dimitrios Pelkas has been best player on the field with assist and scoring hence providing his importance to the side especially with creating opportunites being more or less attacking midfielders position. 

It needs to be noted that Alanyaspor did come out on right focus for the game with aiming to show attacking game without being too scared from Fenerbahce, however it didnt find final touches even through been side especially 2nd half to create opportunities.

Fenerbahce at the end did get 3 points with making 3 wins back-to-back and being highly criticised in recent weeks but currently is being 2 points behind leaders and being side which would be aiming to improve.

Besiktas dominated against Rizespor.

Besiktas has got confident win against Rizespor with 6:0 scoreline at the game where Cyle Larin has become main star player of the game with scoring 4 goals becoming first player to do so in this club since 1989.

Abdullah Avci is starting to focus into attacking game.

Even through Trabzonspor did get win once again with minumum scoreline with Abdullah Avci side not being able to score more than 2 goals per game, it does show high level of improvement with attacking creating high number of opportunities.

Trabzonspor during 1st weeks with Avci has been highly focussed into defence with finding goals which led them to win game with few of the counter-attacks however during last 2 weeks side start providing much more attacking game looking for and creating opportunties but couldnt convert them due of lack of attackers, area which could be improved without doubt both during training session and transfers. Besiktas got very confident win against Rizespor.

Besiktas has got very confident scoreline against Rizespor with 6:0 scoreline, at the game where last week in-form player Cyle Larin has scored 4 goals as Rizespor did get surprisingly high number of passing mistakes.

Since start of the season, Besiktas and possibly among all of the title candidates did show most confident result with providing effective and attacking game with scoring 6 goals but even more importantly did look for high amount of the chances. It needs to be noted that Rizespor poor performance without doubt did have impact for such result with simple mistakes, but as been seen from this season opponents even through does have strength doesnt look to be looking for scoreline. However, always focussing into attacking game is tend to be characteristics of all league titles in the top league and would provide important motivation and confidence for upcoming weeks for Besiktas. Meanwhile, without doubt key player of the game has been Cyle Larin with finding 4 goals showing himself to be one of the key players with finding high amount of the goals in recent weeks, while Ajdin Hasic continues showing high hopes for future with scoring another great goal for 2nd week.

Trabzonspor continues with winning game with minumum scoreline as it beated Goztepe with 1:0 scoreline during Super League 17th week game but it needs to be noted that it continues with showing stronger attacking game.

With Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci looks to be satisfied, quite rightfully, with improvement which defenders has shown so far during previous games it needs to be mentioned that his side start focussing more into attacking side. Even through Trabzonspor in similar manner as it during against Goztepe tonight didnt show very strong conversion rate, with finding scoreline which is enough of them it did provide pretty good and effective game getting opportunities to find even more goals. Therefore, Trabzonspor does provide much more brave and attacking performance against tough opponent which does provide good defensive game with Goztepe it needs to be noted did get good results in recent period. Galatasaray players were not highly motivated and focussed against Konyaspor.

Galatasaray did get unexpected loss to Konyaspor during Super League 17th week, but it needs to be mentioned that despite of game ending with 4:3 scoreline their did provide pretty poor performance and opponent has deserved win much more.

Without doubt, Konyaspor during game been much more focussed and motivated to get win compare to Galatasaray, which does raise questions from Istanbul giants perspective as we are talking without doubt against side which always play for win for league title. Even through lots of key players been absent for the game which did affect for this outcome. However, problem was for players who were replaced from absent players did provide pretty poor focus for the game. One of the most dissapointments been Cristian Luyindama who didnt only made lots of mistakes but didnt provide his physical advantage to opponents which led for Konyaspor to find goals and among that to create some more opportunities. Konyaspor wanted to get win more than Galatasaray

Galatasaray provided pretty ineffective game against Konyaspor during Super League 17th week game which it has lost with 4:3 scoreline as their opponents did want to get win from this game much more as both sides stayed focussed and concentrated for result.

It needs to be noted that both sides did provide pretty slow tempo game until goal of Daci in the end of the first half without much opportunities providing view that it could be pretty dull game with low amount of the chances, but as been noted with Daci finding goal both sides started providing much more attacking game. However, even through Galatasaray did provide reaction with finding goal with Diagne, it still could not be noted that side did provide pretty ineffective game with not being able to prevent opponent attacks a lot with continuing showing decline of its performance from last week draw against Antalyaspor. Only positive aspect is that it did found important goal on 90+4' with Ogulcan Caglayan providing some hope as extra time been given with 8 minutes. However, Galatasaray did been affected from 7 absences which it did have but in overall it could be noted that Galatasaray didnt provide level of game which would been expected from them.

Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that Konyaspor provided strong and confident performance against Galatasaray as it become clear that side did come out for win and did everything to get it especially with how it performed during 2nd half which eaily could been tactic for side.

Galatasaray does show decline of its performance and with this result been dropped from 1st spot to 4th with league being so close and needs to identify and find solution for this decline.

Fenerbahce got confident win against Kasimpasa

Fenerbahce did get confident result against Kasimpasa with 3:0 scoreline as it did come out to the game which it would needed to win for morale but it needs to be noted that Fenerbahce didnt provide entirely good performance.

It should be noted however that Kasimpasa on their part didnt provide much resistance especially after conceding an early goal from Thiam at 14th minute which did have direct consequences for kind of play especially when it did achieve its tasks of getting some motivational boost and get good score with limited amount of absent players which also been issue for Kasimpasa which did come out with some key of its players and been more affected as their provided worst performance during this season so far while Fenerbahce on their part did get most confident scoreline without providing too much effort. On 7th January Fenerbahce would be playing tough game against Alanyaspor which it needs to show better game for sure.

Fenerbahce did get good and confident scoreline against Kasimpasa but it would need to give much more organised game against Alanyaspor.

Besiktas expects to get back showing effective attacking game against Rizespor.

Besiktas would be aiming to keep its leadership which it gained few days ago as it would be meeting with Rizespor as Vincent Aboubakar and Rachid Ghezzal would be back to side with providing much more attacking game.

Even through Besiktas did get win against Kayserispor, it needs to be noted it did struggle pretty a lot against closed compact defence without being able to create high amount of effective opportunities until 88th minute as Nkoudou did score penalty kick. However, Aboubakar and Ghezzal would be able to be playing tomorrow if Sergen Yalcin decides to do which would  be able to provide much more attacking game. Stating that, Rizespor does provide some good performance in recent weeks which could mean it would be unlikely to provide too much intense defence game with possibly aiming to show more open game with still providing respect to opponent hence aiming to get good result. Besiktas could be struggling but should provide much more attacking game compare to previous one.

Fenerbahce got confident win against Kasimpasa

Fenerbahce did get pretty confident win against Kasimpasa with 3:0 scoreline at the game where Mame Thiam has found his first 2 goals for his club without providing too much effort due of level between sides.

As been noted, Fenerbahce did get important win with keeping themselves 2 points from league leaders Besiktas without providing too much effort and difficulty which been mainly due of getting early goal at 14th minute with Mame Thiam which led for Fenerbahce to provide high level control of the game while Kasimpasa despite of getting ahead didnt provide much pressure towards Fenerbahce goal. With taking account that Fenerbahce would be playing very important game against Alanyaspor on 8th January and opponent not providing too much pressure towards them has led them to slow down tempo of the game with getting some opportunities when it got chances with finding other 2 goals from Mame Thiam and Ferdi Kadioglu. Without doubt this win among previous win against Basaksehirspor did provided very needed motivation and confidence with players looked to be more highly focussed at fighting spirit of the side.

Kasimpasa meanwhile did come out as underdogs of this game but didnt provide much high level performance which it showed last week game and either by not being able to provide or due of lack of concentration didnt show much resistance.

Our blog been actively criticising Trabzonspor performance in recent weeks without showing too much attacking game focussing too much into defence and only getting goals with few opportunities. Even through it is still clear with Trabzonspor performance that it needs to improve attacking game, it did provide right mindset. In fact, when comparing both sides previous games its been expected that Fatih Karagumruk would be much more effective in attacks but its been observed quite opposite, even through absences of opponent did play some reason for such view. Still, mindset of Trabzonspor does show Abdullah Avci is getting much more focussed how to lead side to be providing much more attacking focussed, but it needs to continue to provide such game if it wants to fight for title in this season.

Besiktas got leadership despite of not very high tempo game.

Besiktas has got into leadership spot with beating last-placed Kayserispor with 2:0 scoreline even through it needs to be admitting that its been tough game for them as Kayserispor did provide strong compact defence performance.

Even through Besiktas did regain leadership in the league, it needs to be noted that Besiktas didnt provide very good performance as it did look pretty slow performance with lack of creativity and last touches until penalty goal from Kevin Nkoudou which did open game towards end of the game which followed with Ajdin Hasic scoring his first goal with one-on-one position. Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that its been very important for Hasic to score his 1st goal which would lead him to feel more confident in this club and feel part of it as due of inexperience he doesnt recieve much playing time. Coming to general ineffectiviness of Besiktas, it needs to be noted that absences of Vincent Aboubakar and Racchid Ghezal who by style of play provide creativity been highly absent, which does show generally side doesnt have high amount of creative side which could have in upcoming weeks issues when fighting for league title in such difficult season.

Trabzonspor provided more effective game against Fatih Karagumruk.

Trabzonspor has got very important win against Fatih Karagumruk with 2:1 scoreline without both sides providing really fast tempo game but without doubt this result has put Trabzonspor again to leadership race with Galatasaray losing points on previous day.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor even through did get result which been similar to ones which it did get with Abdullah Avci, it needs to be noted and admitted that side did provide much more attacking game compare to previous games with aiming to get forward with high number of opportunities with even through lower tempo. Trabzonspor on their part did show much more attacking game with this win and this would provide lots of confidence with providing some positive view especially against opponent like Fatih Karagumruk.   

Galatasaray didnt score against opponent which showed compact defence 

Galatasaray had got tough moments with passing compact defence of Antalyaspor during Super League 16th week game even through it has been side which controlled game and created opportunities from start to an end.

It needs to be noted that Antalyaspor which did lose last 2 games with previous game with 6:0 scoreline against Hatayspor has been focussed into intense defence with focus not to lose game against strong opponent. Without doubt with having absences of forward players in this game, since Ogulcan Caglayan still developing to become level of player of this side it did have issue to get last touches of the ball and creativity. Galatasaray didnt manage to pass closed defence of Antalyaspor.

Galatasaray has entered to 2021 year with goalless draw against Antalyaspor as it did had some absences at attacking side while Antalyaspor did provide highly focussed defensive game with compact game showing reaction from last week loss of 6:0.

It needs to be noted that Galatasaray did come out to the game with set mind of winning game showing positive attacking game with creating high amount of opportunities but compact defence of Antalyaspor, lack of last touches and some key absences especially at the front did lead for loss of the points. With Antalyaspor continuing showing same kind of performance after Emre Kilinc red card at 51st minute, it didnt provide any change of performance of both sides. It needs to be noted that attitude of side is being right but area which could be criticised from them rightfully is not providing much creativity in the attack which could be solving Antalyaspor defence but it should be noted that even through their did show anti-football style of game it did provide strong compact football against one of the title contenders. With taking account how big clubs tend to have issues with closed defence, it would be expected result.

Antalyaspor from viewpoint could be criticised with showing anti-football but it did aim for 1 point from this game after losing last 2 games ad did get that outcome in the end against strong opponent. Its normal to be dissapointed for neutrals with such game, but with choice of tactic should be respected still.

Galatasaray being side which been looking for goal and focussing into win did certainly been side which would see it loss 2 points but its been difficult to pass such organised defence.

Besiktas will come out as favourites against Kayserispor despite absences.

Besiktas would be having its 1st game of 2021 against Kayserispor during Super League 16th week game where it would be coming as strong favourite against which does struggle so far during this season.

As it is known, even through it does get as everyone some unexpected loss of points, Besiktas are at great form focussing into getting leadership in the standings with providing some positive attacking game which it would be aiming to continue so. One of the issues for Besiktas which it would be coming out is absences of Vincent Aboubakar who has travelled home for funeral of his mother while Racchid Ghezal is being injured, however Besiktas did provide positive view during Sivasspor game without Aboubakar and does have squad and quality which could beat Kayserispor in all respect to them of course. Fatih Karagumruk is expected to provide some issues to Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor would senter to 2021 with pretty tough game against what would be seen as surprising side of this season Fatih Karagumruk, side which does provide fast tempo game while their opponents tend to slow it down.

Without doubt Fatih Karagumruk side which does show strong defensive game, is also being pretty effective on front with getting some important creative attacking game and showing strong counter-attacks. Even through Trabzonspor does provide mainly defensive game against its opponent, Fatih Karagumruk would have issue with showing effective counter-attacks but without doubt would be providing strong attacking game. With looking how Galatasaray in this period of time, excluding Fatih Karagumruk game, Galatasaray would be coming as strong favourites with Fatih Terim still having his ban, to some extend this provided opposite effect to side as whole club seems to be more focussed and motivated for this games and would be focussing for sure with showing strong and attacking game while Antalyaspor  is not going through high motivation with losing its last game of 2020 with 6:0 loss, adding that it only have 3 days to prepare game with New Year Eve being in between could provide question how much mentally and physically they would be ready for this game which would be advantage for Galatasaray.

Omar Ellabdelloui got damage from fireworks to his eyes. 

Even through most of us very likely did have great night of New Year Eve even through of lockdowns rules for many of us, it could be noted that celebration for Galatasaray Omar Elabdelloui didnt go well due of fireworks incident.

During of celebration with his family with holding small fireworks with aim to protect his children, according to Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz, he got eye damage on both eyes with one having much more damage. It is reported that initial operation on the night did go well and he doesnt look to be having much more serious effects but as known eye being very sensible part of body it is hard to predict with doctors stating that needed checkups would be done on 2nd January after which it would be decided what other medical measures on both of his eyes, but it is expected that at best it would be taken some weeks but at the end he would not have too much complications.

Ozdemir plans to accept supporters to game after March.
