What happened in Turkish football today? 16/06/2019

Genclerbirligi CEO Murat Cavcav has been reelected as club's CEO.

Genclebirligi CEO Murat Cavcav has been reelected as club's CEO once again with 371 votes as he ran as single candidate as club has enjoyed getting back to the Super League after 1 year absence and has provided opportunity to make themselves once again amblems of league.

Murat Cavcav, who is also being son of legendary club CEO Ilhan Cavcav, has been at this position when club has relegated on previous season but he has managed to make team once again stronger and help team to get promoted with very good season at lower league and would be aiming to make team which would provide pretty strong and confident performance. Stating that and as it case for all clubs, he would have some financial difficulties at the team and would need to make transfers during this summer transfer window with minumum budget and also could give an opportunity to aim to provide some investment to the academy which is among main topics at Turkish football right now. Murat Cavcav had some bad days and good days and would be willing to have his 2nd period in more successful performance.

Murat Cavcav without doubt would aim to provide high level performance of his team during next season and would do everything to achieve that.

Summer transfer window expects to be also quiet this year.

Summer transfer window would be starting in Turkey from 17th June and will take place until 2nd September, as there is also expectations that it could be quiet window taking account with transfer rumours amount and also financial issues of clubs.

Due of economical issues and also FFP issues with UEFA, Turkish teams in recent years has an issue at making high amount of transfers and mainly aim to get either lower price players or loans, and this trend would be able to continue. With some clubs, especially top 4 clubs, aiming to make much more stronger team for next season, it does raise questions regarding of financial issue and amount of cash their hand on their disposal for sure. Therefore, sadly to some extend it would be expected for summer transfer window in Turkey to stay quiet and also mainly focussed with loaning players for some number of the seasons.

Stating that, this blog could also be wrong and we could see high number of transfers compare to lets say pretty quiet last summer transfer window in country.

With Martin Skrtel name being circulated at transfer front with some clubs during this summer, it has become known that Basaksehirspor are considering to offer 2-year contract as side does need some signings as it looks like it would be losing high amount of the players during this summer transfer window. Defence without doubt would be playing an important issue for Basaksehirspor and signing such a high level defender player would be able to push team forward.Once again this is being only rumour for now and our page as always would follow how this story would be developing.
