What happened in Turkish football today? 02/01/2017

Domadoj Vida has arrived to Istanbul to finalise talks with Besiktas

Croatian defender Domagoj Vida has arrived to Istanbul to conclude transfer negotiations with Besiktas as club administrators and supporters has been awaiting for the player to arrive and join team for long time now.

In fact, both sides did make arleady make agreement between both sides and official signing of the player would be taking place tomorrow as Vida has kept his word which he has given back on summer with principal agreement. Reason why he didnt arrive to team back in summer has been for Dinamo Kiev to request high value of transfer fee however with rules now Besiktas has purchased without any free. Being one of the leading defenders in Europe right now, Vida without doubt would make arleady strong defence of Besiktas even stronger which would be important for fighting for 3rd league title at the season and also to the Bayern Munich game at Champions League. It was especially important for Vida to ignore other transfer negotiations during this period and join team with strong determination to Besiktas and would become key player for the team.

Domagoj Vida would certainly make defenders race  even stronger which would mean existed players would need to improve their performance to be selected for starting 11, and team would be winning with that.

Besiktas has asked for raise of fee for Cenk Tosun but Everton refuses.

Staying with Besiktas, transfer negotiations between Everton and Besiktas for Cenk Tosun is going intensively as their are rumours that the transfer which was expected to be certainly ended does have some issues right now.

Besiktas and Everton did make deal of 23 million euro transfer fee with bonuses of 2 million euro, however their are rumours that Besiktas has contacted once again to English side asking them to raise fee. With this Everton has responded that their will not to that however stating that in same time Everton administrator Steve Walsh has stated that Cenk Tosun would be available to play against Liverpool during FA Cup game on 5th January. It is also known that Everton urgently needs forward players to make them stronger side which has been shown by statement by team head coach Sam Allardyce. Meanwhile, Cenk Tosun is currently located at London where he spends his Christmas holidays and is currently awaiting for finalision of transfer talks as he plans to move directly to

Everton when transfer deal would be officially made as it is known that player is eager to join team.
There are questions, if deal would be made as with all Turkish players if Cenk Tosun would be used to Premier League but their are signs he would with his performance he shown at Champions League.

Galatasaray would get Evra for half-season and later sign Kwadwo Assamoah.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray carries on its transfer works to find strong right-back player as two main candidates for this position are being Kwadwo Assamoah and Patrice Evra, with their big chance that deal would make with Evra until end of the season.

This deal which has been made with both player manager is in fact win-win as manager has stated that transfer of Gyan might be difficult until summer and instead to fill problematic area of Galatasaray, Patrice Evra could be joined for half-season and end this contract in summer and later in summer Gyan would be able to join team. This deal is not ideal for Galatasaray and their head coach Fatih Terim as he is eager for Assamoah to the team but in same time it would be able to fill that problematic area so it is expected, if those rumour is true of course, that Galatasaray would make deal with such offer and wait for summer.

As been said this could be seen as win-win deal as the problematic area would be solved and what looks to be done deal to finally add to the team Juventus player Kwadwo Assamoah during summer transfer window.
