Besiktas has got important and confident scoreline against Genclerbirligi at Turkish Cup. 

Besiktas has got an important advantage against Genclerbirligi during Turkish Cup quarter-final 1st leg game with 3:1 scoreline where team has aimed clearly to get its dominating performance and keep its motivation and confidence at high point.

With Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes having rotation with his main squad for a game has shown high number of the chances during 90 minutes with only making one single mistake with conceding goal. Trabzonspor has started showing brave football during 2nd half

Results from Super League 19th week game between two giants of Turkish football Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce has been ended with 1:1 scoreline with the scoreline which was specifically not good news for Trabzonspor.

Without doubt both teams needed to win game to stay at the title race however with Trabzonspor having bigger point difference and coming out to the game with 10 points at that moment league leaders Galatasaray and there  were more focussed into win in this game. It needs to be stated however that Trabzonspor did start game in poor performance and didnt create many chances during 1st half and has been starting surprisingly without Jose Sosa. With Sosa coming out right in the beginning of the 2nd half of the game, Trabzonspor has started showing much more brave football and has found an important goal from Burak Yilmaz and almost has scored 2nd. Therefore, we have seen two different halves from them and 1st half has mainly been led for fear to lose game at the 1st half and as team head coach Riza Calimbay has stated himself at the end of the game change of tactics has played an important role.

With 15 games left until end of the season and 45 points at the take, Trabzonspor still are at the title race but its situation are pretty hard as teams above them are in great form which includes Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce players are in title focus mood but its important to develop right tactics.

Even through Fenerbahce has also been criticised to start game in defensive  mood focussing into draw and didnt create many chances during 1st half, it did start game pretty well and until conceding game has had control of the game.

Still, Fenerbahce has shown good attitude and even through in play-wise and tactically Fenerbahce chances for league title could be questioned it is clear from players that their want this title.

Fenerbahce are mentally in right direction and capable to not lose single game for next 15 games but with slowly we getting into point where mistake can cost title, its crucial for Kocaman to work on stronger tactics.

Besiktas and Genclerbirligi would need to decide if it can carry on Turkish Cup among other fronts. 

As Super League is getting slowly into the point of final sprint at the long-term marathon, Turkish Cup is also getting into the point where final is getting closer and games are getting tougher. 1st quarter-final game in this season at tournament would be between Besiktas and Genclerbirligi where both teams have strong aims.

However, with Besiktas still being at the Champions League with high aims and also Super League title race it could be stated that Genclerbirligi will put cup into higher priority even through it would see not being relegated also the top. With Bayern Munich game getting closer, its seems like that time for Besiktas to decide if it willing to carry on its dream of success of Champions League among Turkish Cup and the way would perform against Genclerbirligi would become clear of their aims. So far, Besiktas are showing pretty good performance at Turkish Cup with getting comfrotable scoreline both against Manisaspor and Osmanlispor, but it would become clear if their would do same tomorrow. Meanwhile, Genclerbirligi also have decision to see if it would aim for success at Turkish Cup in same time as it would be fighting to stay at top divison.

Draw didnt provide much help both for Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce. 

Turkish Super League 19th week game between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce has been ended with 1:1 scoreline at the score which wasnt suitable for both sides but among two biggest loser without doubt has been Trabzonspor.

Following this game Trabzonspor has found itself 10 points behind Galatasaray and if Basaksehirspor wins tomorrow it would become 11 point difference with leaders. It needs to be stated that
Trabzonspor did show pretty poor performance during 1st half without controlling ball and not creating any chances. One of the main reasons for this outcome has been of absence of Jose Sosa who didnt start game at starting 11 and the factor of his importance has been his introduction which led team to the focus of the game. Meanwhile, goal has been scored by Burak Yilmaz who this blog has stated as single goal-scorer and he did have chance to score 2nd goal if he didnt lose concentration of the ball and also effective defence by Roman Neustadter. Of course, draw would be better than to lose game but still Trabzonspor title race has been more difficult.

Fenerbahce on other side has also got an unwanted score as even through it is still can be stated is within title race right now but did make point difference with leaders of the league to two more which would been unwanted result. Fenerbahce did show pretty good game and has shown good game until conceding goal from Burak Yilmaz but still it didnt manage to create chance. With introduction of Mathieu Valbuena and 1st game by Elif Elmas without doubt has led Fenebrahce to show much better attacking game focussing into more creative game and aiming to draw and later to win game. This game did show that it was important for Fenerbahce to find 1st goal as things without doubt could have developed differently if their performance during 1st half has been better. Fenerbahce still has managed to not lose to Trabzonspor and in the league which does keep team at the right motivation
for upcoming games.

The game in overall has been played with two different performance with more creative and attacking game and even through both sides has lost important points their shown very positive attacking game.

Galatasaray has managed to win Osmanlispor what turned out to be not very easy game at field.

Galatasaray has managed to win another Super League game at the home with this time beating struggling Osmanlispor with 2:0 scoreline at the game which it had unexpectatly had struggling moments but still managed to end game with scoreline their were seeking for.

It needs to be stated that coming into attacking side Galatasaray didnt have much issues as it has created 23 chances during whole game and could have won more comfortably if their wasnt number of great saves by Osmanlispor player Karcemarskas during game. However, it was observed especially at 1st half that Galatasaray did have some issues at the midfielding section of the field as Osmanlispor has created high number of the chances, but with lack of having effective game at the attacking side with lack of supporting each other didnt manage to create chance. It does look if Stoke City manages to transfer Badou Ndiaye it will be having some issues at midfield.

Galatasaray on paper has managed to win game in comfortable manner according to scoreline but game itself does show other side and team would look like to have some issues in upcoming weeks.

Osmanlispor requests 15 million euro for its player Umar Aminu.

Staying with Galatasaray their is rumour going around after Galatasaray and Osmanlispor game that Galatasaray are interested to transfer opponents player Umar Aminu and have started direct negotiations.

It does look that there seems to be an issue with transfer fee, as Osmanlispor has stated to their opponents yesterday that their will not sell player for less than 15 million euro  showing in same time how important is player for them. It is reported that Galatasaray even through would carry on negotiation are aiming to transfer him for lower amount of the fee which seems to be issue which is hard to be solved with 4 days left until of the transfer window. Meanwhile, there seems not to be any news about Aminu wanting to stay or leaving but with this news not coming out, it will be easy to assume that he is happy at his current team and have no intention to leave.

With such a short period we see how this negotiations would take place and if Galatasaray would be to make deal until dealine on 31st January.

Galatasaray continues showing dominating game with arrival of Fatih Terim.

Galatasaray carries on its defeatless period with its head coach Fatih Terim as it has managed to win Osmanlispor with 2:0 scoreline in what ended up being pretty exciting game with high tempo and team has gained leadership for at least two days at the Super League with 41 points.

The game ended up being with high number of positions from both sides but it needs to be agreed that Galatasaray did dominate for most part of the game especially during 2nd half where main role to keep scoreline at minumum level has been Osmanlispor player Karcemarskas. Even through Galatasaray didnt manage to convert high number of the chances during game, it did provide that winning spirit during whole game and has created pretty good chances. It needs to be noted also Feghouli among scoring goal has also shown an attacking game and did create high number of the chances including one of the key moments of 2nd half. Still, Galatasaray did show some weaknesses at defence as Osmanlispor did create some chances even though didnt manage to be very effective.

Coming to Osmanlispor, the main player of the team Karcemarskas has been shown great performance but also Osmanlispor as a whole has created some important chances during 1st half of the game but their didnt convert those chances especially with lack of getting into high number of players at the attack.

Galatasaray still got very important win and also carries on providing very good game since Fatih Terim has joined to the team as club's head coach and does aim to carry on similar performance during upcoming games.

Besiktas gets results but still has issues with attacking side of squad.

Besiktas carried on showing an effective game at the Super League with a win against Kasimpasa with 2:1 scoreline with the help of Anderson Talisca and keeps itself at the title race at Super League.

However, it needs to be stated that Besiktas does have a lack of needed tempo which was used in previous game and it also pretty worrying that replacement of Cenk Tosun for now seems to be Anderson Talisca as technically Talisca is midfielder and not central attacker as Alvaro Negredo didnt show yet very effective game as an attacker without finding goals which team needed. Besiktas it needs to be admitted does have some potential to show good game in upcoming season but it needs to raise its tempo and have some more alternatives at the front. If Besiktas would be able to finalise transfer of Vagner Love it might find solution to this on going problem and could provide much better attacking game in upcoming games. Still, Besiktas needs to win games until Bayern Munich Champions League tie.

Still, Besiktas carries on good performance in those 2 games with Anderson Talisca finding all goals but time would show how it would perform in games which matters.

Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor is important for both having chance to win title. 

Without doubt the game of the week would be between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce as the game does play an important role for both sides still to stay at title race. Both teams without doubt give their best to get an important win and stay at title race.

With Fenerbahce not getting further with leaders while for Trabzonspor its important to win to still be at the range of league title race.as it would be coming out to game with 11 points with current leaders of Galatasaray and if Basaksehirspor beats Karabukspor would find 12 points with losing points. Therefore, the game would be expected with high tension. It needs to be that both sides are having high performance in recent weeks but Fenerbahce does look one step closer for win with its team performance while Burak Yilmaz does seem to be only player to move ahead for Fenerbahce. In fact, in all fairness if Fenerbahce able to prevent Burak Yilmaz it should have controllable game.

However, with Trabzonspor playing at home it has this factor in its advantage and therefore its close to call favourite, but as stated Fenerbahce seems to be a bit closer for win.

Anderson Talisca still carries being main goalscorer during 2nd half of season so far. 

Besiktas has managed to win a crucial game against Kasimpasa with 2:1 scoreline during Super League 19th week game as it has dominated for most of the 1st half and with Anderson Talisca continues to take role of the Cenk Tosun during past 2 games.

In fact, Anderson Talisca has scored all of the 4 goals scored so far during 2nd half of the season and being without doubt main reason why this team has collected 6 points today and also against Sivasspor during last week. Being a midfielder it is pretty impressive that Anderson Talisca has taken role main role of finding goals. But it need to be stated that compare to previous week game Besiktas especially during 1st half has shown much better performance teamwise with Ricardo Quaresma showing an impressive performance especially providing great assists towards Talisca with 2 goals scored tonight. Only problematic aspect which could be seen from side of Besiktas is that it became as it had reduced performance during 2nd half and which has led for Kasimpasa finding goal.

Kasimpasa it needs to be stated is not in same level as it was during start of the season and has lost teamwise and some players performance even through it did provide great performance during 2nd half and after finding goal has provided good attacking game and would get motivation for upcoming games.

What happened in Turkish football today? 25/01/2017

Besiktas would aim to improve their performance against Kasimpasa compare to last week game.

Besiktas is going to resume its fight to defend Super League title with 19th week game against Kasimpasa aiming to continue its good start of the year as it aims to win back-to-back until it would be meeting with Bayern Munich at Champions League.

Even through Besiktas would be coming out with high motivation for the Kasimpasa game, their are parts of people and supporters who were not very happy from last week game against Antalyaspor. Even through team did win with 2:1 scoreline the team didnt manage to show full control of the game especially during defence which did show some worrying performance. It is reported that during this week training session main aim of the team has been to solve those issues as the team still is looking for an alternative for Cenk Tosun as he has left for Everton. It does need to be stated even through this factors, Besiktas would be coming out as favourite against Kasimpasa due of their pretty good form in recent weeks.

Still, Kasimpasa needs to be aware that Besiktas attacking is not as good as before and hence needs to get ready for this game with this in their minds and provide brave football.

Antalyaspor would terminate contract with its player Samir Nasri at short notice.

Antalyaspor has announced today that it would terminate contract with its player Samir Nasri as he has provided lots of the issues to the team with his lack of performance and has not been attending training sessions since end of the 1st half.

Club has stated that their are only some issues which needs to be discussed about payment of the player which are coming into conclusion and in period of few days official announcement of termination of contract would be made by the team. Samir Nasri has only joined to the team as well-known superstar and in fact was seen among players who would be able to provide great performance for the team. However, Samir Nasri especially and whole team didnt turn their expectations into reality. Samir Nasri during his period has never managed to provide his best for a team and get into the mood with skipping high number of trainings and during 9 games only scoring 2 goals.

With this taking account and also remembering that Antalyaspor are currently at relagation zone it did make right decision to ending contract with him as it would need needless big issue in its hand.

Konyaspor are not urgent to make transfer deal with Demba Ba. 

One of the interesting transfer news which are taking place in those days is that Konyaspor are interested to transfer Demba Ba however it does look like its not treating an issue in urgent manner according to Ahmet San.

Konyaspor spokesman Ahmet San did state that team has an interest to make transfer deal with Demba Ba but in same time has stated that this transfer is not urgent for them and their would make sure that deal which would be suitable for them at the end or otherwise if their is no deal at all its not critical for them as their have some good alternatives for his place in those window. Stating that, even through Demba Ba has been argued that he is not in same form as he was before, which did lead Besiktas to change mind to bring him back, his performance is still suitable for team like them and would be expected to carry on good performance.

With Konyaspor being at bottom-half of standings it does need in fact player like Demba Ba to help them to move up in the standings as it needs some goalscorer even through performance against Trabzonspor did show some positive signs to team as whole.

What happened in Turkish football today? 24/01/2017

Turkey has been drawn with Sweden and Russia at UEFA Nations League.

Draw for UEFA Nations League has been taken place in Lausanne where Turkish National Team has been seeded as League B team, or in other words are 1 level below top division. Following draw, Turkish National Team has been drawn with Sweden and Russia to fight for promotion to League A and more importantly for play-off spot for Euro 2020 qualification.

According to system, top teams at each group would be promoted and also play play-off games to get their right to compete at the Euro 2020 and hence get qualification even before main qualification for tournament would be taken place. It needs to be stated that Turkey, even through are in same level opponents, would be taken with tough teams as their had shown better performance in recent years compare to Turkish National Team. However, it needs to provide full focus to the tournament which would start in September and focus into top division and play-off spot as it would be meeting twice with their opponents at group. The system itself its pretty new and would seen as experimental season and even through it can raise some confusion in start of the tournament would be started it would all become clear.

Turkish National Team does have good chances to end group stage at the top spot as long their give their best for tournament.

Alanyaspor has no plans to sell Vagner Love to Besiktas. 

There were many also transfer news and rumours going around Turkish football today, but main focus without doubt has been given towards possible transfer of Vagner Love towards Alanyaspor.
This story seems to be taken place that Vagner Love who is reported to want to move to Besiktas and Besiktas themselves on one side and Alanyaspor on other side. The latest news has stated that Besiktas has offered 3 million euro to Alanyaspor to which team has refused and has requested at least 5 million euro. Without doubt, this stance from Alanyaspor is understandable as Love without doubt is most successful player at the team and main reason why team can at least be at the mid-table and with its economical condition has difficulty to find replacement for him. We would see how Alanyaspor as it does seem right now that its big fish vs small fish situation, as Besiktas also tries to find strong replacement of Cenk Tosun.

The time would show how this transfer story would develop but it does look like Besiktas if really would like to can made transfer deal with Alanyaspor even through its not 100% certain of course.
