Besiktas lost important 2 points to Sivasspor.

Besiktas continues losing points on recent weeks, this time goaless draw against Sivasspor with reducing its point advantage from Fenerbahce to 3 points with reducing its confident leadership to only 1 win and draw advantage with 6 games left until this season.

Besiktas it needs to be mentioned didnt provide high tempo during whole game due of having some absences and also Sivasspor without doubt did been focussing into defensive game whose main aim been prevent for Besiktas to create high amount of opportunities. Another factor without doubt been for Vincent Aboubakar not being entirely ready for this game which been observed for him to be showing low tempo with lack of getting into positions which been used from side prior to his injury and even more importantly and sadly for side bene getting injured once again which is likely been case for him to play game before being entirely ready. In other words, Sivasspor which did win 12 games prior to this game would not been big surprise and in fact would be highly expected, but worrying image been for side showing ineffecitve game in such crucial weeks for them.

Sivasspor it needs to be noted that did create some very good opportunities which could bring win for them in this game but in overall it did focus into providing strong defence which it managed to do so and rised its undefeated streak to 13 weeks.

Besiktas continues losing points during recent weeks and did lose its strong advantage and now would focussed to turn around this in game against Kayserispor if it doesnt want to risk its title even more.

Galatasaray would get win if it plays like it did against Goztepe.

Galatasaray would be seeking to continue its confident and strong performance which it shown during previous game as it would be playing against Trabzonspor which drawn for 4 weeks.

Even through Galatasaray does show some decline in recent weeks, it did provide very strong and confident game against Goztepe with getting full control of game with hat-trick from Kerem Akturkoglu and criticism from Mustafa Cengiz. Without doubt, with Trabzonspor not providing good game in those weeks, Galatasaray would be able to get confident win if it shows similar game which it did last week. Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see how Akturkoglu would be performing against side which is considering among top clubs in this league regardless they position. Still, Galatasaray would be coming as favourite due of having extra motivation for title race.

Galatasaray did regain confidence from Goztepe among Besiktas losing points and would come to Trabzonspor with good mood and confidence without doubt.

Trabzonspor only chance is extra focus for Galatasaray game.

On other hand, Trabzonspor looks to be disoriented from getting further from title race with making their condition almost to impossible with getting draws for 3 weeks.

Without doubt mentally Trabzonspor did come out to last 4 games with focus to win but in this game when looking at position of both sides Trabzonspor could be saying not to draw but in same time Trabzonspor, being historically top club, does get extra motivated for big games and hence would likely to provide strong game with high focus to defence and attack and such mindset if would be achieved could be key not to lose to game at least and even have good possibility to win game. Therefore, it would be interesting to see how side would be mentally focussed to game.

Trabzonspor would likely provide better game against Galatasaray but recent results for side could provide some pressure in this game.

Fenerbahce keeps their chance for title hopes alive.

Fenerbahce has managed to beat title-holders Basaksehirspor who are currently positioned at relegation zone while Fenerbahce has reduced point difference to 2 points while having an extra game.

Fenerbahce did come out to very important game not only due of opponent but also into timing of the game as win would keep them chances for title as their are entering to 6 weeks game as it kept 2nd spot regardless how Galatasaray on midweek and also getting closer to leaders which lost 2 points. However, Fenerbahce didnt start game well and didnt show especially perfect game but did get control between 0:1 to 2:1 scoreline even through it did get too much back after 2:1 scoreline with almost losing 2 points due of needless penalty from Harun Tekin but his save let him to keep side chances for title alive and also forgive from his mistake. In overall, Harun Tekin did show good performance despite of some worries and did provide image that he could help side to stay at race.

Fenerbahce without doubt did get very important in such crucial week and could hope for its main opponents as their would be playing with strong opponents.

Besiktas would come to very crucial game against Sivasspor.

Besiktas, which does show decline of its performance due of stress of being leaders and also intense scheduling, would be coming to one of the toughest games as it would be meeting with Sivasspor which didnt lose for 12 weeks.

Without doubt this game would be much tougher then to Ankaragucu game, as Sivasspor did get very impressive rate with winning first time in league history for 12 weeks and has been focussed right now to get 5th spot for Conference League. Therefore, Besiktas without doubt would need to be providing much more organised, focussed and effective game as loss in this game would provide high pressure for side in its title race. Good news for Besiktas would be returning of Vincent Aboubakar who would be most creative player in attack without doubt and hence would play crucial role with finding goals. Sivasspor would be coming with high confidence but very likely with strong respect to opponent and hence would provide effective patient game.

Without doubt this would be one of the most crucial games in title race and outcome will have direct impact to 3 contenders.

Turkish football community, expect Galatasaray, strong against European Super League.

Right now the most discussed topic at whole European football community being announcement of European Super League and for sure Turkish football world has also provided their own reaction to this matter.

Until now, both TFF and Clubs Union has provided direct and strong criticism system calling it that it would affect negatively to football world, which is being without doubt stance by majority in rest of world, including of this blog writer. This system without doubt would provide negative impact to what could be referred to developing football nations, which in all fairness Turkey is at, as it would raise gap between both elite clubs and nations with others. UEFA decision to not accept players at national sides also been right reaction with providing pressure to this clubs. This could mean however that Merih Demiral, Ozan Kabak and Hakan Calhanoglu might not compete at Euro2020.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz did announce he could be attending to tournament for 5 vacant spots with clubs showing directly different stance from general Turkish community on matter.

Schedule:

Harun Tekin keeps Fenerbahce aim for title chances high.

Fenerbahce did reduce point difference with leaders of the league Besiktas to 2 points while opponent does have game in hand with winning struggling title holders Basaksehirspor with 2:1 scoreline showing strong character during 2nd half.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did start game in poor matter without getting too much into the game with letting Basaksehirspor creating some opportunities which led for very good goal from opponent. After conceding goal this been without doubt been wake up call, which led for Fenerbahce to get into better performance getting upper hand which it mentioned to do so with 2:1 scoreline. Without doubt however turning point for Fenerbahce been without doubt penalty safe from Harun Tekin on 86th minute which without doubt did keep them at title race. Meanwhile, there has been some worries from Fenerbahce viewpoint regarding Harun Tekin as Altay Bayindir did become injured to hand and has closed his season, and did provide very good performance with making high number of saves among penalties as goal which been conceded has been without doubt difficult one to be saved. Fenerbahce hence did get very important result and would enter to last 6 games with high hopes.

Basaksehirspor on their part also did come out to very important game as it is being at relegation zone being 1 point behind Kayserispor who are at save points but there is some point difference from above them. Hence, Basaksehirspor are entering to weeks which it needs to win games urgently to stay on league.

Fenerbahce would enter to bye week with securing 2nd place and would be hoping for Besiktas to lose points on midway but more importantly side shows high hopes when looking to last 2 games.

Galatasaray keeps title hopes alive with winning Goztepe.

Galatasaray has kept them at title race as their have won Super League 35th week game against Goztepe with turning around result for 1st time during this season after getting behind in the game.

With Besiktas losing 2 points earlier during this week, Galatasaray did use its opportunity to reduce point difference to 6 points with 7 games left during this season, did provide some hope thanks to Kerem Akturkoglu who without doubt did use opportunity of absences of Falcao and Muhammedvery effectively making 1st hattrick by Turkish player in club since 2016. Without doubt direct criticism from club CEO Mustafa Cengiz did also play its role with players showing that they give their best on the field and hence provided confident strong performance with winning game with 3:1 scoreline. For sure, this win would provide some hope for future but it needs to show this game without doubt in regular basis as it cant afford to lose 7 games especially against Besiktas.

Galatasaray did get crucial 3 points against Goztepe which tends to be difficult away games and has restarted its hopes for title race but it would be tough task for them for sure.

Trabzonspor mentally ended season.

Trabzonspor has drawn for 4th time back-to-back this time not being able to pass Hatayspor as side did consider on last minute of the game and does provide strong relaxation with securing more or less 4th spot.

Trabzonspor during this game even through did found great early goal thanks to Djaniny has provided unexpectable relaxation in rest of the game which is being risky attitude against club like Hatayspor who tend to show strong attacking game with 2nd half providing full control to their opponents. Trabzonspor having lack of strong focus and attention for last 6 games would lead them to provide interesting results, and would be interesting to see how their would perform against Galatasaray on 36th week as it tends to be showing different and much stronger motivation. Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci does have difficult task to motivate players unless he is also not highly motivated right now.

Trabzonspor doesnt win or lose for last 4 weeks and loss of 8 points has kept them far for fighting 2nd spot in the league. ,

Kerem Akturkoglu keeps Galatasaray at title race.

Galatasaray has won Super League 35th week game against Goztepe with 3:1 scoreline in the game where Kerem Akturkoglu has become without doubt star of the game with becoming first Turkish player to get hat-trick for his club after 4 years.

Following not winning for 3 weeks and getting bit further from title race and also recieving criticism from club CEO Mustafa Cengiz, it was interesting how side would be responding from such atmosphere. Even through it didnt start game how it wished with conceding possibly best goal of this season from Diabate it did provide them turning point for side with Kerem Akturkoglu did get upper hand with scoring 3 goals in the game where Radamel Falcao and Mustafa Mohammed were not available with playing such crucial role in this game and provided image to become future star both for Galatasaray and Turkish football without doubt. It needs to be noted Galatasaray did provide great performance when coming out into game with having some issues both with players and morale and with Besiktas losing 2 points it did reduce point difference from Besiktas to 6 points with keeping themselves at title race.

Goztepe it needs to be noted started game with great performance with Diabate scoring very good goal which could become best goal of the season but didnt manage to continue high level game with every conceded goal getting further from concentration without doubt.

Galatasaray thanks to Kerem Akturkoglu hat-trick which without doubt did keep themselves at title race as we enter to last 7 games.

Trabzonspor has drawn again, this time against Hatayspor.

Trabzonspor continues to be providing draws back-to-back, this time getting 1:1 result against Hatayspor conciding on last minute with Aaron Boupendza from penalty kick as Trabzonspor is getting further from top 3 sides.

Even through Trabzonspor did score on 22nd minute with Djaniny and hence took game into leadership it is hard to state that side did provide full control of the game providing slow and ineffective game especially during 2nd half when Hatayspor did create opportunities back-to-back but couldnt find that crucial goal. In fact, it needs to be noted that game been played with limited amount of opportunities until 75th minute with Trabzonspor trying to play with reducing tempo possibly due of not winning in recent weeks. However, keeping game with 1:0 scoreline did been big mistake especially when Hatayspor does tend to provide strong attacking players Aaron Boupendza. It does need to be mentioned by the way this result has been not great outcome for both side as Trabzonspor focusses into top 3 spot while Hatayspor towards 5th spot.

Hatayspor meanwhile following recent 2 losses did provide some good reaction against Trabzonspor with providing its usual performance which it did tend in recent weeks, and did get goal on last minute from Boupendza penalty shot.

Trabzonspor therefore would need to find ways to start getting wins as draws could lead them to lose 4th spot. This seems to be most important issue which Abdullah Avci likely to be focussed on training sessions.

Besiktas showed signs of tiredness against Ankaragucu.

Besiktas did lose 2 points to side which aims to be staying in the league, Ankaragucu as game ended with 2:2 scoreline as Besiktas did concede 2 penalties from Paintsil in last 20 minutes without scoring themselves.

Due of intense scheduling and also have number of important injuries in the team Besiktas did look to be tired physically during whole game as we entering to a period where about 7 games would be played during 1 month which could provide some issues to Besiktas and every side in this league. There seems to be criticism towards Nkoudou penalty shot which been done in pretty calm manner on 2nd minute and even through without doubt its been poor and unexpectable penalty shot from player it didnt cost them game as Ankaragucu player Kutsiou did have own goals which did come in all fairness without his fault. Therefore, Besiktas did lose 2 points when it was leading with 2:0 and did provide too much relaxation and loss of concentration which without doubt did lead Ankaragucu to create opportunities and also get penalties. Meanwhile, Oguzhan Ozyakup who is expected to be missing 3 weeks did join into injury list especially at front.

Besiktas did lose its strong advantage and now would provide at least some hope both to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray as point difference with 2nd place Fenerbahce been reduced to 6 points.

Results:

Besıktas lost 2 points against Ankaragucu

Besiktas has lost 2 points during Super League 35th week game against Ankaragucu in the game where all of the 4 goals did come from opponent players with two of them being from penalties, as point difference with Fenerbahce is being currently 5 points with both sides having same amount of games.

It should be noted that Besiktas did start game in high note with providing an attacking game and even did find penalty at the 3rd minute but been wasted from Nkoudou who did provide pretty poor shot on the goal but it should be mentioned that side continued to show this performance. Stating that, Besiktas didnt really lose 2 points due of this penalty miss as it did have lead after 52nd minute it was leading with 2:0 thanks to own goals from Kulisic, both which should not be really criticised since it did come from defending and wasnt big mistakes. However, it needs to be noted that after 2:0 Besiktas did provide some relaxation which allowed for opponents to provide much more attacking which led them to recieve 2 penalties which led for Paintsil to find 2 goals from penalties. With such strong scheduling with side providing high level game, it became observed that side did show signs of tiredness which does make it clear Besiktas route for possible title will not be easily with such intense scheduling which is true for all sides. Meanwhile, its been dissapointing development of injury of Oguzhan Ozyakup who become injured in 1st half and joined lists of injured especially at front area.

Ankaragucu even through didnt show very good performance during 1st half, it did show great response after 2 own goals from Kulisic with providing much more pressure to Besiktas goal, using tiredness of opponent and been rewarded with 2 penalties. Ankaragucu got important result without doubt and would continue to stay at top league for last games.

Besiktas did lose 2 points while winning Ankaragucu with getting tired but it still has advantage of winning 5 games out of 7 left if opponents win all games.

Galatasaray would be aiming to prove Cengiz wrong during Goztepe game.

Galatasaray would be focussing into keeping its title hopes alive with Super League 35th week game against Goztepe which promises to be tough game due of good performace of opponent in previous week while Galatasaray are on big decline.

Galatasaray did lose high number of points in recent weeks with also more worrying providing not very good game as we are entering to the last 8 weeks and if it would be performing with lack of concentration which it did in recent weeks, Goztepe which does provide tactical performance for most period of time, would be able to get good result if it would be using its own opportunities. Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see how side would be responding to criticism from club CEO Mustafa Cengiz where he called for players not to give its best performance and focus, as their could show strong reaction and provide strong game to prove Cengiz wrong but this could also provide some stress to side possibly.

Galatasaray would come out as favourites to game but it would be interesitng to show their would perform on the field as it needs to win this game urgently.

Hatayspor will be favourites against Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor would be meeting with Hatayspor during Super League 35th week as their opponent does provide strong positive game and would be focussing to get win as it aims for 5th spot, while Trabzonspor get draws in recent weeks.

Trabzonspor does provide pretty good attacking game in recent weeks without able to score and ending games with draws, which does show that even through side is not doing too much mistakes, its not doing enough especially at the front. This game could be providing some issues to Trabzonspor since Hatayspor doesnt provide any fear of showing attacking game with creating and converting chances so it would need to be careful at defence and be able to score at least 2 goals, as it is very likely that 1 would not be enough against such opponent. Hatayspor would be looking at gane with more optimism when looking at this game and with form could be even see as favourites.

Hatayspor doesnt change tactics according to opponent focussing into its own strong and confident game which hence brought them some good results without doubt.

Besiktas would be aiming to get step closer to title.

Besiktas would be aiming to get one step closer to Super League title as it would be meeting with struggling Ankaragucu at 35th week with 4 point advantage and game in hand from Fenerbahce.

Besiktas would be coming with strong motivation for the game due to the condition but there would be expected to be having tough game as Ankaragucu is currently fighting for survival and are showing some improvement in its performance compare to previous week with giving its all to stay at the league. In addition with Cenk Tosun and still injured Vincent Aboubakar absences it would be having attackers issue even through Cyle Larin did provide some good performance being single attacker in some game and hence would be expected to take that role in successful manner. Therefore, with playing at home Besiktas and being focussed for title it could be seen them as favourites but Ankaragucu would give their best performance.

Besiktas would be looking once again for high possession but it needs to show confident attacking game too for win.

Covid19 still spreads among players

With 60,000+ daily cases been reported in Turkey on past days, this Covid19 virus continues to be having negative impact to Turkish football and shows how careful players and clubs need to be careful as we enter to crucial weeks.

Talking about medically, with players due of age and physical condition does go through recovery of Covid19 without much issues and it is quesitonable if players order for vaccination should be priorty or not, but with positive cases due of possible spread of virus players would need to be self-isolated which would mean leaving their side alone in such crucial weeks. This blog does state several times that it is hard to control spread virus, but some important precautions can be taken by clubs and players if their dont want to be infected. When league resumed last summer number of effectiveness to football been low as players did took this serious, now they are seem to be more relaxed.

We are entering to last 8 weeks as this virus continues to be issue and right now clubs would need to be precautions with this issue without doubt.

Galatasaray would show reaction to Mustafa Cengiz after Goztepe game.

Aftermath of criticism from Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz regarding of players of not getting serious games continues to be having heated issue as player did consider to boycott training session even.

Decision however which been made is to continue with training sessions due of important period we having in the league and provide their rightful reaction towards such words following Super League 35th week game against Goztepe. This crises meanwhile does show strong division between administrative part or more precise CEO who provided such criticism among players which did exist even with Younes Belhanda termination of contract. Right now there is division and misunderstanding among administration and footballers which been created out of nowhere and its right for players to show such reaction.

It would be interesting to see how Fatih Terim and players would respond to this developments.

Stuttgart has signed Omer Faruk Beyaz for 5-years.

Stuttgart has transferred 17-year old Fenerbahce player Omer Faruk Beyaz for 5-years with transfer going into effect from next season as player does see opportunity to develop as player in the side which does give attention to young potential players.

With Turkish clubs, especially big 4 clubs, not providing much opportunities to develop for its academy players in recent years, such decision for Beyaz could be highly expected and understandable. It was known that Emre Belozoglu when he was sport director did provide high attention to Beyaz with trying to keep him in the side and even provided him with captaincy during past season, but condition of the club towards him was clear that he didnt see opportunity to develop as players. Examples such as Merih Demiral does prove sadly that Beyaz is right one. Still, it needs to be remembered that everything would be focussed into Beyaz himself with taking his future in serious matter with developing as player but issue here that he would be rewarded if he would focus into that.

Therefore, such decision is highly understandable and could open important doors in upcoming years with up to being key player for national side in future.

Galatasaray would have CEO election on 22nd May

Galatasaray has announced that it would be having CEO election on 22nd May, if majority is not gathered on 28th May but it needs to be remembered that this is case if Covid19 situations would be in safe condition for sure.

Meanwhile, current CEO Mustafa Cengiz due of some latest statements and generally with how he does his job at the club does recieve some criticism from different perspective with some of his statements not either providing right information or doesnt provide much solution with reports that he does have misunderstanding with head coach and even went to criticise players actions in last interview. Therefore, there is seems to be high number of candidates which would be getting his place with promising to solve this issue which club is going through. Stating that, due of health condition of Cengiz it is unclear yet if he would also run for CEO elecitom himself with him still going through decision process.

It would be expected to be pretty heated CEO election and preparation of course if Covid19 would allow to happen.

TFF needs to find effective way to solve field issues which everyone is unhappy.

Discussion about condition of the football fields following injury of Besiktas player Cenk Tosun continues to be one of the heated conversations right now as player will not be able to play for least 6 months.

Meanwhile, this argument did go into next level with Besiktas claiming that Erzurumspor purposefully didnt waterred field prior to game to prevent Besiktas to play high tempo which is if true would be seen as strong bad-doing regardinbg of sportive behaviour. Meanwhile, there is been also been discussion if there should be some action towards club if football field is not in good condition, with there possibility by TFF to change location and city if this would be case hence providing kind of punishment to side. This action would be pretty extreme but would lead for club to get this issue more seriously. Stating that TFF would need also to provide some assistance to club to solve this issue as some clubs more likely to have some internal issues, such as financial for this to be solved.

This does look to be some serious issue which it does look like all bodies would need to go through to find effective solution as punishments might create some issues in future.
