Besiktas needs win against Kasimpasa for 3rd spot.

Besiktas would be coming to its last game of the season against Kasimpasa as it would be aiming to secure 3rd place at the standings and hence get direct entry to Europa League for next season.

It needs to be noted that following loss against Galatasaray on 31st week which has also meant that it lost chances for league title has provided strong aspect to the concentration of the team which has been obvious reduced during Alanyaspor, despite of winning that game and also against Trabzonspor so it would be difficult once again for Besiktas to show high concentration to the game as it was aiming for league title or at least 2nd spot Champions League which would bring team into qualifiers. Besiktas would need to get win against Kasimpasa assuming that Trabzonspor would win against Rizespor at the last week, but it is lucky that Kasimpasa are among teams for last week which doesnt have much aims and could also provide calm performance and this alone could mean that Besiktas could even win without showing much attacking game in similar manner as it did against Alanyaspor. Still, its crucial for Besiktas to be able to show concentration towards game if it doesnt want to start season earlier in summer due of qualifiers.

Besiktas did have mixture of performance but did have chances for league title at one point, even through it would likely play almost empty stadium its last game of season it would still likely aim for a win at home ground.

Trabzonspor would fight for 3rd spot until end for sure.

As been mentioned also during last week games, Trabzonspor even through are 2 points behind 3rd spot as it would be playing against Rizespor, it is in better concentration and mood compare to Besiktas.

It needs to be remembered that Besiktas has started season with an aim to win league title, as Trabzonspor wouldnt say no to title of course had main aim to get Europa League spot. As Trabzonspor has achieved it aim, it would be feel highly motivated to even raise that aim by getting entrance to the tournament with a win against Rizespor and expecting for Besiktas to at least draw. Even through as been mentioned Besiktas task is not specifically hard as it would play against side which doesnt much aims, it still would be expecting from Besiktas slip up and would provide strong performance against Rizespor at least until Besiktas makes goal difference as games would be played at parallel. Trabzonspor as stated are happy without doubt how their have performed this season with overall performance in recent years and also financial difficulties.

In fact, even if Trabzonspor would end at 4th spot it would be aiming to show high concentration which their had during last weeks even when it was expected for team to end season at 4th.

Galatasaray and Sivasspor is purely game to be played for formality.

Champions of 2018-19 season at Super League would be concluding its season with Sivasspor as both teams has concluded season mentally and would be coming out to the game in such state of mind.

It is true that Galatasaray are likely would be aiming to end season with a win and raise its undefeated streak of games to 20 games but with achieving an aim games has always been tough for a side and after celebration of double this season during this week it would lead game difficult to predict. Sivasspor on other hand has also achieved to stay at the league several weeks ago and has lost all concentration and only motivational boost for a team could be to aiming to end season at home ground with a win especially against league champions without doubt. Both sides might have trouble to concentrate and specifically hard to predict game and even to see who is favourite for a game.

This game would be expected to go at friendly mood possibly also Sivasspor celebrating players as this game are among ones which needs to be played due of formality.

Unal Karaman would be staying at Trabzonspor for 2 years.

Trabzonspor CEO Ahmet Agaoglu has made statement today that club would be extending contract with its head coach Unal Karaman and hence showing that it has full trust and satisfaction with his performance at team.

In fact, there are many reasons why Trabzonspor would be very happy with Unal Karaman performance as taking account all difficulties which team is going through both with finance and recent performances,it still has good chances to end season at 3rd spot and get direct Europa League ticket if results would go as their wish during last season. Unal Karaman without doubt has created strong team which is capable to provide strong performance at togetherness and not being affected from outside forces including salary issues. In addition, he has played an important role with development of team young players which high number of clubs from top league aiming to purchase during upcoming summer transfer window. With good signs that this team would be able to fight for league title in next season, it is hence natural decision for administration to aim to extend contract with player for next season.

It is clear that Ahmet Agaoglu has also strong plans for how to make sure this team would go forward and aims to do with Unal Karaman without doubt as plans also to work with youth is still at place.

Fenerbahce has made transfer deal with Basaksehirspor player Emre Belozoglu.

It became clear that Fenerbahce has made transfer deal with Basaksehirspor player Emre Belozoglu who aims to end his footballing career next season at the club which he has spend high number of the years during this career.

According to rumours the deal between sides are has been made and expectation is that both parties would sign contract following Euro 2020 qualifiers which comes to mid-June. Fenerbahce has shown strong interest with Emre Belozoglu for number of years in recent years and this talks has been taking place for long time and it does look like both sides has made deal as 39-year old player aims to end career at Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce very likely would see him as a player who would motivate and provide some lessons from his experience to players during next season as teams aims to make much better performance which it did this season and possibly aim for league title. This addition if would take place is not much into field but more into guiting players and Emre Belozoglu has potential to guide those players into right direction without doubt.

Our blog as always would follow this story but it does look like at least from rumours that deal has been made between parties. 

Bayern Munich has made deal regarding of Henri Onyekuru.

It became clear that Bayern Munich are close to make transfer deal with Everton player Henry Onyekuru, who is currently loaned to Galatasaray and it does look like convincing Onyekuru could not be specifically difficult as he would have chance to play at top club.

As it is known, Onyekuru did state several times that he would like to stay at club and has made it clear to administrative of Everton but it is known that Onyekuru being also young player has high aims and still wants to play at Premier League but due of visa issues cant to do so. It needs to be stated that if those rumours are true than Onyekuru has recieved at playing among top clubs in Europe and it doesnt look likely that he would be able to reject such an offer, unless his connection to Galatasaray is so strong that he couldnt even refuse this golden opportunity. Likely chance for Onyekuru to state that he wants to stay at club due of realising that he could be loaned to team which would not have much champions ambitions and not being able to compete at Champions League.

Time would show what would be reaction of Onyekuru but it would be reasonable to expect that he would not decline such golden opportunity to play for Bayern Munich.

What happened in Turkish football today? 21/05/2019

Erzurumspor has small chance to stay at league as long as Bursaspor draws and Goztepe lose next week.

Fenerbahce has managed to win Kasimpasa during Super League penultimate week against Erzurumspor as it was very important game for Erzurum side as it needed to win game to stay at league but Fenerbahce has prevented them to get that result.

Erzurumspor still keeps its chances to stay at the Super League mathematically arrive as it needs to win last week games against Kayserispor at away game and also await for Bursaspor to draw against Yeni Malatyaspor and Goztepe to lose against Ankaragucu. With only Bursaspor among those three playing against side which has also an aim to keep its chances for Europa League 5th spot does keep Erzurumspor chances arrive to achieve its aim but it needs to be noted that Yeni Malatyaspor despite having 2 point advantage over 6th placed Antalyaspor, if sides would end at same points it would move ahead of Antalyaspor if it manages to beat Fenerbahce, therefore chances for Eskisehirspor to stay at league are still arrive. Stating that, it needs to be noted that without being able to at least draw against Fenerbahce, Erzurumspor did make their chances to stay at league into slight difficulty and would now be hoping that at least one of the side would provide them good result and that by itself could create lots of tension when game would be taking places on 26th May.

Erzurumspor is likely to beat Kayserispor next week as it would be playing against side which doesnt have much aim for rest of the season, and likely best hope it would get to Bursaspor as Yeni Malatyaspor has Europa League aims.

Fenerbahce needs to forget this season and focus to the future.

Fenerbahce does aim to end season at the highest note, as it has managed to win games back to back for 3 games including beating Erzurumspor who came out with single aim of at least not losing to them.

It needs to be noted however that it is hard to state that Fenerbahce has provided great performance on the night as it didnt create many chances and has mainly provided a defensive football focussing not Erzurumspor to create chances rather than focussing into an attacking game which could be due of psychological impact this season had into players also losing concentration as it has secure its stay at the Super League but left for no other aims. Fenerbahce would certainly aim to end season with a win against Antalyaspor, but most importantly side is currently focussed towards how it would spend its summer transfer window as it needs to make drastic changes for next season so it wont be able to repeat same results and stress which it had during this season and hence it does look like this summer transfer window would be pretty active for them.

Fenerbahce had a seen which it would like to forget and with summer period coming up and team start thinking about next season, it just needs to forget this season and find ways how this club could fight for top position both with transfer and inside club.

Ankaragucu detirmanation has played main role for team to stay at Super League. 

Ankaragucu has provided great comeback during its 2nd half of the season and even through this could be seen surprising statement for team which has secured its stay at the Super League prior to last week, it needs to be stated that it had very poor performance towards end of 1st half of the season.

There was time, more or less around Christmas holidays, when Ankaragucu has been seen for sure to be relegated and being among first sides to do so but it has shown great character among making high number of transfers after it has lifted from transfer ban and has provided great focus to stay at league. This motivation and focus of players has been raised at its highest with its great performance against Sivasspor on penultimate week which it has won with 3:1 scoreline. It was also visible from statements and mood that team was detirmened to stay at the league even when things looked like were going against them and this motivation of administration, technical staff and players has become clear for team to achieve that. It would now have pretty calm last week game against Goztepe which it has deserved and also quite rightfully has solved its issues prior to game which could be played at very nervous conditions.

Ankaragucu didnt have an easy season at all but strong-belief and detirmination especially in last weeks has played an important role to stay at the league.

What happened in Turkish football today? 20/05/2019

Fenerbahce has made things much difficult for Erzurumspor at its fight to stay at league.

Fenerbahce has managed to win Erzurumspor during Super League 33rd week and has provided dissapointing result to the opponent as their chances to stay at the Super League has been reduced as among winning last week game, Erzurumspor also needs to await loss of points both from Bursaspor and Goztepe.

With Fenerbahce securing its stay at the Super League during last week game, team did come out without much aims apart of ending season at high note and aim for 6th spot. Meanwhile, their is talk at today's media that 6th place for Fenerbahce could mean that it could get to Europa League next season if Trabzonspor would recieve ban from UEFA. However, it needs to be noted that chances for UEFA to provide such ban looks to be unlikely for now and also Fenerbahce chances of getting 6th place could be hard even if it manages to win last week against Antalyaspor. Only goal which has come during game has been from penalty kick which was decided from VAR which was good news for Istanbul side while to some extend it was worst scenario for Erzurumspor. It needs to be noted however that Fenerbahce didnt provide great performance mainly focussing into securing its score at the end of the game, which is performance which does provide team which is showing poor performance as it is anti-football style. Fenerbahce only focus right now is new season as even through worst scenario didnt take place, it was season which everyone at club would like to forget.

Erzurumspor meanwhile in all fairness did try everything to win game and has been highly detirmined and aimed to provide positive game, which once again does show that this team doesnt much deserve to be relegated as it has shown right reactions to game but it chances to stay are pretty low as it need to win Kayserispor and wait for loss from Goztepe and draw from Bursaspor. Today at least its clear that Erzurumspor will not give up during last week game.

Erzurumspor does have difficult situation at stay at the league but it needs to stay focussed for their chances at last week and should give their best against Kayserispor and wait for good news from other 2 games.

Galatasaray has deserved to win Basaksehirspor and hence win title.

Galatasaray has managed to win 22nd league title in its history and also 8th title with its head coach Fatih Terim with great performance during "winner takes it all" game against Basaksehirspor which it has won with 2:1 scoreline and has shown great organised and highly motivated game.

Galatasaray as been mentioned for long time has used all its advantages to its own hand during game which is to control situation at the critical weeks during title race and as a team it has played several times such crucial games while its opponent Basaksehirspor during its short history has experienced first time such a game. With also strong support from fans it has managed to win game. It needs to be admitted that despite of losing 1st half with 1:0 scoreline during 1st half it has provided better performance during game and with providing right change during half-time and also obtaining right and strong suggestion from Fatih Terim it has started 2nd half with strong attacking game and has been looking for chance as among scoring 2 goals, it has also got 2 offsides just before offside. Those offside decisions either would lead team to provide much more stronger performance or mentally affected. It has used this disallowed goal mentally rightly and has carried on attacking game with Henry Onyekuru scoring goal which brought team league title. Now, it could be argued if Galatasaray has shown great performance during whole season which would be discussed at blog at the end of the season as we would go through general overview of season, but coming to yesterday game without doubt Galatasaray has shown strong, confident performance and has deserved this win and hence title in all fairness.

This title hasnt been easy one at all but detirminated, confidence and self-belief of whole team has made it possible and has provided back-to-back league titles.

Basaksehirspor needs to find ways to win games when it matter, or it will never become champions. 

If all of advantages which has been mentioned towards Galatasaray has played directly its role for winning game and hence title, all of disadvantages which was visible in recent games has led team to lose game and title.

Only way for Basaksehirspor to win game has been to provide some change of tactics and also be ready to create Plan B. When watching game yesterday and even if Basaksehirspor looked like it has controlled game during 1st half especially after goal, it was visible that if Galatasaray would have scored goal then whole game would go towards control of Galatasaray and hence would lead team to lose title. This clearly what happens and more importantly Basaksehirspor, and especially lessons which were not learned from Besiktas game earlier. As been mentioned in previous section, full review of season would be given at the end of the season and surely their would be some positive aspects would be found from Basaksehirspor front, but looking at game against Galatasaray and also recent weeks, in fact after national team break and local election break on April, their is hardly anything positive hard to state about Basaksehirspor. If Basaksehirspor both with Avci or with different coach, will not figure out how to provide strong performance at times when it actually matters and not be able to change tactically game during game when thing does go as planned, it would never win league title regardless if it has fans or not. Basaksehirspor would be playing at Champions League qualifiers and it needs to provide some tactical changes or this performance at best would only lead to play-off stage.

Basaksehirspor has made similar mistakes as it did previous seasons and this time with 8 point advantage. Once again making one point making 8-point difference with 2nd place could be seen as success, but losing this advantage right before end of the season is huge failure.

Galatasaray has won 22nd league title with beating Basaksehrispor with 2:1 scoreline.

Galatasaray has won 22nd league title in history of the Super League with turning around 1:0 deficit to 2:1 win during "winner takes it all" game as it has shown strong adaptation following not great 1st half game and has used its advantage of playing home ground and high experience of such conditions.

Even through both sides could have got title with only winning at such crucial game at penultimate week but with so many factors Galatasaray did come out as favourites including factors playing at home, experience at title race aspects and very important Fatih Terim factor. It needs to be stated that all of this factors which has been mentioned at our blog and actively discussed at Turkish media has been case. In fact, even when it was losing to Basaksehirspor with 1:0 scoreline during half-time there was strong expectation to turn around game with their stance. Trabzonspor are behind Besiktas but it does have upper hand for 3rd spot at last week.

Besiktas with this result as has lost an advantage for draw and would need to win last game against Kasimpasa if it wants to end season at 3rd spot as long as Trabzonspor wins their own game.

Besiktas has lost all motivation and concentration during last 2 games and now it would need to win next week to avoid qualifiers for Europa League.
