Turkish football season would be started with Turkish Super Cup game between title-holders Galatasaray and Turkish cup finalists Akhisarspor as both sides without doubt would be aiming to start season at highest point.

With Porto very likely opponent to a winner at Basaksehirspor tie, it could be stated that task of Basaksehirspor to get into Champions League group stage as was expected would be difficult one and it could lead into some difficulties for a team at upcoming games. It became clear that 7 Besiktas players, namely Burak Yilmaz, Medel, Roco, Orkun Cinar, Dorukhan Tokoz, Adem Ljajic and Orkun Cinar has become injured which does some worrying image to the team as we are 2 weeks behind of start of the Super League season.

It does look that Besiktas would be starting with high number of injuries during start of the season as some players had some intense training sessions at pre-season training period.
