Konyaspor wins Super Cup with 2:1 scoreline against Besiktas.

Konyaspor has managed to write a history during Super Cup game against Besiktas with winning game with 2:1 scoreline and more importantly it has managed that with playing much better football compare to its opponents.

In fact with 10-year history of the Super Cup, Konyaspor has managed to become 1st team outside of top 4 teams to win this competition with competing at the tournament also 1st time with winning Turkish Cup last season. Konyaspor it needs to be stated has started game in a great way and has shown a very positive football from start of the game and going forward which has led for 33rd minute goal by Traore with mistakes made by Besiktas defenders and goalkeeper Fabri. Konyaspor has been seen to be more ready for the game and hence has got well-deserved win at the game today. Meanwhile during the game there was unwanted scenes which has been led by supporter entering to the field with the knives and also behaviour by number of Konyaspor fans after the game which has affected to ceremony of Super Cup title .

Meanwhile, Besiktas wasnt able to provide top performance at the Super Cup which was affected by them against Konyaspor being more prepared to the game and was pretty far from its top football especially with mistakes during midfield area and team not providing an image that it could chances in more organised way compare to reasons how their become champions. It does look like Besiktas have some weaknesses especially at the defence and midfield areas which Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes would need work with this issues for the upcoming season. It needs to be noted that pre-season friendly game where Besiktas has missed at each game has shown that there weaknesses at the team.

Konyaspor as been stated has won game in well-deserved manner and it does feel to be ready for next season and could be able to fight for top position with nice football. Besiktas on other hand looks to be not fully ready for next season especially at the back half of the field.

Benfica didnt send licensing data of Anderson Talisca to Besiktas prior to Super Cup final.

As Besiktas was preparing for the Turkish Super Cup game against Konyaspor it has recieved surprising and unexpected news that it would not be able to play its star player Anderson Talisca since Benfica has refused to send documents to licence player.

As it became known, Talisca is still technically player of the Besiktas due of 1+1 loan contract and even through Benfica argues that reason for this is that it didnt send payment to themselves of 2 million euro, Besiktas argues that it is right one at this issue. In fact, Besiktas plans to go to the FIFA for complaining about this issue and would aim to get this licence in upcoming days and making sure that Talisca would be available for opening week game against Antalyaspor at the Super League. Besiktas administrators argue that main reason for this decision could be laying for Benfica wanting to sell its player or have recieved good offer and hence to provide some pressure to themselves but stated that it would fight for its own rights until end.

Hence, it is expected that Besiktas would solve this issue at the short time and would be able to recieve licence until next weekend when Super League would be started.

Burak Yilmaz is officially back to Trabzonspor. 

Trabzonspor has made its biggest transfer for this summer transfer window by transferring its ex-player Burak Yilmaz who has played an important role during ending team at 2nd place behind Fenerbahce with same points during controversial season of 2010-11.

Even through Burak Yilmaz was happy to leave to Chinese club Beijng Guoan he did have a problem of getting adapted both to the Chinese league and also Chinese culture which hence led him to have some homesickness. To some extend, the best team which could have joined after this could be Trabzonspor where he had his best period of his career and would aim to build on that. He had signed 3-year contract with a team where he certainly would be having new aims and would help team to get great results for upcoming season where teams would fight for league title during its 50th anniversary. Burak Yilmaz has returned to team with having big aims and he would hence also fight to show great performance while being at the team for next season.

The time would show how he would perform in Trabzonspor but he has big chances to become main player for next season at the team.

Besiktas does come out as strong favourites to win Super Cup

Turkish football season will be starting with Super Cup game between Super League winners Besiktas and Turkish Cup holders Konyaspor at the game where Istanbul side would come out as favourite but would still be promising to be an exciting game between two sides.

As been mentioned, Besiktas will very effective transfers during this summer transfer window would come out as strong favourites against Konyaspor as  newly-signed player Alvaro Negredo would also expected to be playing during 2nd half of the game according to situation of the game. As it is known, Besiktas would come out as strong favourites to the game and as the team aims to win league title 3rd time in row and show strong performance at the Champions League, it would also aim to show top performance at the game tomorrow against Konyaspor. Only downside for Besiktas is the factor that Talisca will not play due of not recieving licence data from Benfica.

Therefore, it does seem that Besiktas are coming as favourites and hence would be aiming to show top class performance at the game tomorrow.

Konyaspor would enter to new era after Aykut Kocaman left team.

Stating that, this one-off game and as been known this kind of games especially taking account that both teams are not at their best conditionally following summer break it is always open for surprises and hence Konyaspor does have chance to make surprising result.

Konyaspor meanwhile has been a team to qualify to the Super Cup by winning Turkish Cup and hence becoming first team outside of top 3 who has managed that in recent past and would hence aim to provide a very interesting performance at the Super Cup game. Of course, one of the main reasons of this good performance in past 2 seasons by Konyaspor has been shown by head coach Aykut Kocaman, who has now moved to Fenerbahce. Therefore, it would be also interesting to see how Konyaspor would perform without Kocaman as the team has entered to the new period of its history and time would show how team would perform. One of the best tests for a team of course would be game against Besiktas.

Therefore, this game in sense of Konyaspor even through it is open to make surprise against Besiktas would even more be crucial to see how team would perform at its new era and new head coach.

Fernando would help Galatasaray to become better squad for next season. 

In transfer front, Manchester City player Fernando has officially signed 3- year contract with Galatasaray and during today's press conference has stated that he has chosen this team due of its
having big aims.

Even through Galatasaray has surprisingly been eliminated from Europa League it is still manages to bring eye-catching transfers with latest of them being Fernando and hence making their squad stronger for next season. Fenerbahce would meet against Vardar during Europa League play-off round.

Fenerbahce has qualified to the play-off round of the Europa League with beating Sturm Graz with an aggregate of 3:2 scoreline and would now meet with relevantly weaker opponent Macedonian team Vardar where it would be coming as strong favourite.

In fact, in this tie not only elimination could be seen by many as surprising result from Fenerbahce but also its achieving this in a difficult manner. Stating that it needs to be noted that Fenerbahce still needs to improve as could be seen from Europa League 2nd leg game at home where it would not be specifically stated that Fenerbahce has shown a great football especially with having difficulty at finding 2nd goal which it needed to get easier result at this tie. Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman following the game has stated that team would need another 2-3 months but it needs to still get good results and keep on improving as weeks carry on.

Fenerbahce does show some improvements compare to previous seasons in this past 2 seasons but there is distance which it needs to be taken but a good news is that Mathieu Valbuena does look to be great transfer to the team.

Basaksehirspor has difficult task against Sevilla at Champions League play-off round games.

It was expected prior to the Champions League play-off round draw that Basaksehirspor case of getting to the proper tournament will not be an easy one and getting Sevilla does have showed how difficult it would be to them.

Following the draw, Sevilla administrators did state that Basaksehirspor should be treated and is treted in that manner by them with full respect, but their it as good draw with Basaksehirspor not having much experience at the Champions League compare to their strong opponents. Fenerbahce has drawn with Sturm Graz with showing two different halves during game. 

Fenerbahce has managed to qualified to the Europa League play-off round with drawing against Sturm Graz with 1:1 scoreline and going through with 3:2 scoreline. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has dominated 1st half from start to end but as game developed have become tired.

In fact, performance of the Fenerbahce during two halves has been very different as it has lost control of the game a bit compare to 1st leg game where it has dominated game. In fact, this bit reduction of performance has provided a risk for Fenerbahce to lose game with 2:1 scoreline and hence lead game to the extra time. From the game it is seen that Fenerbahce did improve from its  performance which it has shown in recent years, but unfortunately still has issue to provide this top game for whole game as it has lost concentration. Those mistakes has been observed mainly at the defence area of the game where it has conceded goal due of mistake and has almost conceded another goal as game has progressed. Stating that Mathieu Valbuena and Ahmethan Kose still has shown great game and with winning in overall deserved manner to get through.

Sturm Graz has shown in a slow mode in the start of the the game which was not expected to them as their were one who needed to score goals and has provided defensive game with lots of the foul and has raised tempo in 2nd half. It was good tactic by them but it didnt work due of high risk and conceding goal during 1st half.

Fenerbahce has got what it wanted to despite of not winning game and would now wait for play-off draw which would take place tomorrow and would likely to draw team which would not raise much issue to them also.

Basaksehirspor has shown top performance against Club Brugge.

Basaksehirspor has shown a very good performance during Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Belgian side Club Brugge which led them to win game with 2:0 scoreline with goals scored during 1st half and winning tie with 5:3 aggregate.

During the game, at each moment of it, Basaksehirspor has shown stronger superiority which mainly has come for newly-transferred players performing at top level during the game and showing good adaptation to the team. Even through goals has been scored by players from last season, who carry on top performance at their teams, Emmanuel Adebayor and Edin Visca, the adaptation of the team has been seen one. In fact, this has been 1st ever win by Basaksehirspor during European games. Besiktas has made transfer deal with Jeremain Lens.

It became clear that Besiktas has made an agreement with Sunderland player Jeremain Lens who has been loaned to Fenerbahce during last season. The following transfer has been among wishlist at Besiktas for long time and it has finally made such a deal.

However, interestingly during past season Jeremain Lens has stated several times that he would only play for Fenerbahce in Turkey and hence this statement was not kept, even through the deal has mainly done with both clubs so its not known how he had kept his word at the team. With Besiktas staying pretty quiet in 1st month of this transfer window, during July it did make number of good transfers with Pepe, newly-agreed Negredo and now Jeremain Lens who would be able to move team forward during next season. Therefore, Besiktas carries on becoming stronger side and going forward with possibly also transferring Inter Milan player Garry Medel.

Jeremain Lens has been used to the Super League due of his great performance at Fenerbahce during last season and hence wont have much issue with adapting to the team and certainly to the league.

Basaksehirspor has qualified to the Champions League play-off round.

Basaksehirspor has shown great result during UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Club Brugge and has qualified to the play-off round where it would meet with much stronger opponent but by winning today it has marked an important achievement.

 Basaksehirspor even more importantly has achieved that with scoring 2 goals during 1st half with especially goal by Emmanuel Adebayor an early goal as soon as 7th minute. It needs to be stated that in fact that Basaksehirspor has shown this great result which has come from 1st leg game where it has managed to turn game from 2:0 scoreline to winning game 3:2. Without doubt Basaksehirspor has shown a great result in the history of its own club and also in Turkish football. With taking account that it has very limited number of supporters at its disposal, it does show a great character which it needs to succeed and experience in European tournament especially taking account that Club Brugge does have great historical successes in the European front. It needs to be noted that Basaksehirspor would certainly compete at the Europe during next season, as it would be competing in proper Europa League even if its gets eliminated during Europa League.

Club Brugge did show great performance start of the  1st leg at this tie and has shown image that it might win it without any doubt but wasnt able to respond today to well-organised its opponent Basaksehirspor. Right now it would be competing at Europa League with what for some people might see surprise elimination.

Basaksehirspor has shown a very good performance at the game today and would be going at confident manner to the play-off round with 5:3 aggregate scoreline with well deserved performance result during 2 legs.

Fenerbahce does come out as favourites but it needs to stay focussed. 

Fenerbahce would come with an away goal advantage for the Europa League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game where it would be aiming to win Sturm Graz and get to the play-off round of the competition.

Fenerbahce did show good performance during 1st leg game despite of conceding a goal and now would be looking forward to end this tie with a win and possibly aiming for better performance from 1st leg. As been stated, by Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman the team is not yet performing its best performance but its going into this direction as it aims to provide faster but same time much more compact football and would aim to get to the play-off. Their opponents will not also provide an easy game as it does have also an advantage to get to the next stage with 2:1 scoreline and would look to provide an attacking football which their can do as been seen from 1st leg game. Fenerbahce does need to play still good organised football and would not have much issues likely against their opponents.

Fenerbahce does come out as favourites for the game tomorrow but it needs to be concentrated to the game if it doesnt want to get surprising result tomorrow.

Burak Yilmaz is joining Trabzonspor again

Trabzonspor transfer of Burak Yilmaz has become even more closer as the player has terminated contract with Beijing Guoan and during his video message focussed into 50th birthday of the Trabzonspor has stated that he would be joining team in upcoming days.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor did make statement that the team has started transfer negotiations with a team and are getting pretty close at making official statement. It became clear that Burak Yilmaz in fact did have issues at getting adapted to the Chinese league and hence has decided to return to the Turkey to his old club where he has provided great performance during match-fixing known season. One of other reasons has been also his children schooling issue. Joining Trabzonspor and even through Burak Yilmaz has shown good performance at the team, would mean that he would be joining to the team where he became star of the Turkish football and would aim to show similar performance at the team again, which teams aims for league title.

Basaksehirspor aims to make history in game agaisnt Club Brugge.

Following memorable comeback from 2:0 loss against Club Brugge during Champions League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game, Basaksehirspor would come with much more confidence for 2nd leg game home game but it wont be an easy game.

It needs to be stated that Basaksehirspor does have some advantage at the game tomorrow at scoreline that as long as it doesnt lose until 2:2 scoreline at the game it would be able to qualify. Of course, it would been better if game ended with 3:2 scoreline as it would have even more chances but taking account that this has been 1st game for Basaksehirspor at Champions League, even if its qualifier, it was great performance by them. It needs to be remembered that if Basaksehirspor does win game tomorrow and get to play-off of the competitions it would be certainly qualify to the Europe in Autumn,with time showing if it will be Champions League or Europa League. Basaksehirspor needs just to play confident football tomorrow.

Basaksehirspor would be aiming for top performance tomorrow and has really good chances to get to the play-off stage of the qualifiers and write an important history for this team.

Abdullah Avci could become Turkish National Team head coach.

Meanwhile, even if Basaksehirspor will be able to complete in Europe following qualifying games there is good chance that it would either do it without Abdullah Avci or with him having two jobs in same time.

Konyaspor has sold Riad Bajic to Udinese for 5,25 million euro. 

Coming to the transfer news, the biggest event which has happened is the news that Konyaspor player Riad Bajic who has made transfer deal with Udinese for 5,25 million euro.

It needs to be stated that technical wise this transfer would be a big loss to the Konyaspor as Bajic has been among one of the leading players at the team for recent seasons and hence its very important for him to find alternative in rest of the month of transfer window. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has declined an offer to become Turkish National Team head coach.

Turkish Football Federation CEO Yildirim Demiroren had a meeting with Besiktas head coach Senol
Gunes regarding of appointing him as Turkish National Team for 4 games. However, according to news reports Senol Gunes is interested to work for 4 years instead.

It was known for long time that Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes and CEO Fikret Orman have not been looking interested to send Gunes as national team coach regarding how would been agreement. Meanwhile, Turkish Football Federation are in difficult position as most of the successful head coaches in counry as expected are currently located with their teams and are in important process and project. Even through each head coach would aim for national team role, it is mainly enethichal actions by those head coaches. Same without doubt would be going for Senol Gunes and his position at the Besiktas. There are as been stated before other options for Turkish National Team role such Mustafa Denizli among others.

However, at the end of the day Besiktas administration and head coach Senol Gunes has declined following offer given to them.

Galatasaray has made transfer deal with Badou Ndiaye

Galatasaray has made transfer deal with Osmanlispor player Badou Ndiaye and are expected to announce following transfer as soon as 2nd August and likely to become last transfer for this summer transfer window even through its not certain.

Badou Ndiaye has been among best players at the Osmanlispor for the past seasons including with his performance at the Europa League during last season which among Galatasaray has led for other clubs to show big interest. The deal has been made with pretty low price of 7.5 million euro for an important player at the squad. Ndiaye would certainly allow team to go forward while this would be seen as movement forward the player himself and would complete pretty successful transfer window for Galatasaray despite of the team still providing very poor performance especially during game against Ostersunds.

Following transfer would once again show the team to go forward for next season and possibly getting closer to the style of play demanded by Igor Tudor.
