Besiktas starts league with Fatih Karagumruk win thanks to Fernandes goal

Besiktas starts its new season with 1:0 win against Fatih Karagumruk even through it needs to be mentioned that Istanbul giant didnt provide necessarily dominating game and has struggled to raise tempo of the game.

It needs to be mentioned that prior to game and looking at 2nd half performance of Besiktas it has been provided much more attacking game looking for chances but still did lack to create positions. It needs to be mentioned that Ataturk Olympic Stadium when being almost empty does provide negative impact towards players which tends to affect negatively to motivation and concentration of the game and this has been issue which Besiktas without doubt it has been got into as it did failed to get some good chances and did provide pretty passive game. This to some extend has also affected with penalty kick of Vincent Aboubakar who didnt provide very good shot onto goal with weak shot which Fatih Karagumruk got an easy save. Fenerbahce has lost concentration after opponent got red card

Fenerbahce had a strong and confident start to the Super League opening week game against Gaziantep as it did find 2 goals within 25 minutes thanks to the Edin Dzeko but as opponent player Maxim got red card in strange manner Fenerbahce had decline of performance.

Finding two early goals and also red card of Maxim has provided psychological negative impact as players has saw game as gainer and hence reduced tempo and control of the game which led to concede goal in the end of the 1st half and also Gaziantep even finding equaliser as it did rise chances during 2nd half. Fenerbahce starts season with a win but didnt satisfy much with tempo.

Fenerbahce has started  its 2023-24 Super League season with 2:1 scoreline win against Gaziantep which has played its first competitive game since devastating earthquake as Edin Dzeko did find 2 early goals but red card of opponent surprisingly has reduced tempo of the team.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce in interesting manner did provide stronger performance on the field when it was on 11-on-11, compare to 10-on-11 as it did lose tempo of the game and didnt get into many chances and have also conceded goal in the end of the 1st half. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has shown pretty effective performance in the start of the game as Edin Dzeko did find 2 great goals showing that he joined this side to find goals and help side to win games and hence titles. However, it needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce didnt manage to carry on providing strong and attacking game after Maxim has got into red card from 2nd which could be due of showing some relaxation mentally. Similar case could be stated has happened during Maribor game on midweek and hence Fenerbahce possibly would need to find ways into providing top level performance for 90 minutes.

Gaziantep in their part did have good start of the game as things didnt go for them as they have provided pretty aggressive game which led for lots of fouls for them. But after red card of Maxim it did look like side did come into themselves providing much more pressure to Fenerbahce goal and did find some chances with 10-on-11 at the end of the game.

Fenerbahce hence did start a league with a win but it still has areas which it needs to improve and provided much more pressure after opponent red card and needs to find ways to show high tempo for 90 minutes. 

Galatasaray lacked creativity against Trabzonspor

Title holders has started with a draw against Kayserispor and it needs to be stated in all fairness that its been lucky to get such score as Kayserispor did look more creative and dangerous as Galatasaray lacked creativity on field.

It needs to be mentioned that compare to previous season where it did show strong attacking and creative game, this performance has not been seen during this game which could be due of side not having clear attacker on starting 11 as some players were not physically ready or due of Okan Buruk tactical game. Stating that it needs to be stated that Kayserispor has also provided an organised defensive game on the field with preventing Galatasaray to get confident on the field and despite of showing some good defensive game, it did create some of its chances and has been close to find goal including hitting goal. Even through this has been only first game of the season, there are signs that Galatasaray needs to improve.

Galatasaray continues its habit of having poor start of the season which it had in recent season and does have potential, but this performance will not be enough against Trabzonspor next week.

Besiktas would aim to show positive game against Fatih Karagumruk in opener.

Besiktas are going to start its new season against Fatih Karagumruk which does tend to show strong and open game and has known to provide some issues to big 4 as both sides would aim to have good start of new season.

Besiktas did recieve lots of criticism including at our blogs for having too quiet transfer window this summer but it needs to be admitted that side does have pretty good squad which does provide good performance collectively as it has been seen at Conference League qualifying games so far. Title holders starts season with goalless draw against Kayserispor.

Title holders has started season with goalless draw at away against Kayserispor as it did look to be pretty uncreative at the front line for most amount of the game even through they were one who has controlled tempo and only led opponent to get few chances of the moment.

It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray does tend to have start of the season in recent years in pretty manner and to some extend this has been case during this game as it did lose 3 points and didnt provide similar performance as it did against Olimpija Ljubjana. It needs to be mentioned that in surprising manner game has started without leading attacking players in the starting 11 which did have some issues as Galatasaray didnt have much creativity. Gaziantep will play its first official game against Fenerbahce after devastating earthquake

Fenerbahce are going to start 2023-24 season against Gaziantep which would be playing its 1st professional football game following devastating earthquake on 6th February as it didnt complete previous season.

Hence, Fenerbahce which does aim for league title would be starting its campaign for title against side which would coming to game where it would be aiming to show to everyone that it has shown strong bouncing back from earthquake and aims to get some strong positive performance and results in upcoming weeks. Therefore, game would be between both sides which both sides would be aiming to show its best game. Trabzonspor starts season with minumum win as Denswill scored 1st goal of Super League this season

Trabzonspor is starting 2022-23 Turkish Super League season with a minumum win against Antalyaspor at home ground as this has also been result of openning game as Stefano Denswill goal on 8th minute has been an first goal of this new season.

It needs to be mentioned that when looking at the game as whole, it has been played at both halves as Trabzonspor has provided very strong of the game with providing an effective attacking game which led for a goal from Stefano Denswill header and continued to do so, but game has changed directly during 2nd half. Even through it could be noted that this should be seen as normal factor as it is being 1st game of the season for Trabzonspor, but it does also show that team is not entirely ready for this new season and does have some issues with providing top level performance for 90 minutes. Therefore, Trabzonspor head coach Nenad Bjelica needs to treat both halves seperately as it would win all games if it performs like 1st half and could lose all games if it shows 2nd half game.

Coming to Antalyaspor, it did take time for side to get into game as it looked pretty passive in the start and hence did concede goal but has got more confidence and attacking game with getting very good chances in 2nd half but due of quality and luck. Still, its 2nd half performance does provide view that side could provide an attacking game but does need to raise tempo.

Hence, 1st game of the season has been started at good tempo especially for Trabzonspor but being start of the season has led side to reduce tempo which it has shown and it does look side would need to work on stamina in this early stages.

Fenerbahce did get good result despite of some issues in 1st half.

Fenerbahce has got an important win against Maribor at home ground with 3:1 scoreline even through it didnt ideal performance against Slovenian side especially during 1st half but things did improve during changes in 2nd half.

It needs to be mentioned that tactically Fenerbahce did start game in pretty wrongfully which led for Maribor to have some control of game for first 30 minutes and did provide some worrying views from supporters but it needs to be mentioned that when Ismail Kartal did into Szymanski into field, game has changed as he did raise tempo of the game and provide some freedom to fellow players especially to Dusko Tadic who start being at every area in the attack. Without doubt, Fenerbahce did have much more effective performance with Szymanski and hence did show that he would be key player in upcoming season without doubt. It has also been good to see that Kartal does made right changes which led for win and hence that he is not stubborn to start of game plan.

Fenerbahce didnt provide great performance but still got 3:1 leadership and is being close to get to play-off stage of qulaification.

Besiktas got an important win against Neftci Baku

Besiktas did have much more simpler performance than has been affected against Neftci Baku as two early goals without doubt did make things easier for Istanbul giant as it got win with 3:1 scoreline.

Even through Besiktas did come out as confident favourites against Neftci Baku, it was expected that Azeri side would provide some worrying times to opponents but with Besiktas showing strong detirmantion and raising tempo at the start of the game did lead for them to get two early goals from Vincent Aboubakar and Jackson Muleka goals. Only negative aspects from Besiktas that it did show too much relaxation after 3:0 and has led for Neftci Baku to create high number of great chances among scoring 1 goal which does keep some hopes for 2nd leg game. However, for 2nd leg Besiktas would be coming out at home and hence would be seen as strong favourites. It also needs to be mentioned that midfielders especially showed good performance as Salih Ucan provided important assists among scoring 3rd goal.

Fenerbahce did get an important win against Maribor despite of not showing ideal game.

Fenerbahce has got an advantegous scoreline at the home ground during Conference League 3rd qualifying round with 3:1 scoreline even through it didnt get much into tempo during first 30 minutes of the game.

When looking at the overall of the game, it could be noted that Fenerbahce has been a better side with controlling game and did more or less only lose concentration at one moment during which Maribor did find a goal. Only issue for Fenerbahce has been that it took around 30 minutes for Fenerbahce to get in as it did start game in pretty passive manner during that moment where it did allow Maribor to have some chances on goal even through they didnt come with high danger. As game progressed, Fenerbahce did improve as game progressed and did dominate game especially during 2nd half as it did found 3 goals and as been mentioned above with losing concentration did concede goal which could be one of the dissapointing moments.

Maribor as been mentioned did provide some pressure towards Fenerbahce as been expected compare to Zalgiris but still quality difference especially did play an important role. Maribor still has chance thanks to its goal towards end of game did keep chances alive but Fenerbahce is being stronger side.

Fenerbahce hence did get an important win at the game which didnt go especially well for them but in this atmospehere it did get win at home ground.

Besiktas got an important win with dominating 1st half.Besiktas has got a crucial win against Neftci Baku at Conference League 3rd qualifying round with 3:1 scoreline with providing pretty strong performance during 1st half as it got into changing room with 2:0 advantage but it needs to be mentioned Neftci Baku did provide lots of pressure.

Besiktas did come out to the game as strong favourite against Azeri side, but there were talks that team might be having some issues at the game as Neftci Baku aims to provide its positive performance which it did during this game. Meanwhile, Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar continues to be showing himself to be key player at the team and main striker as he did score great goal at the good organising game and does show some positive view as Super League starts this season. Only issue for Besiktas without doubt has been that it did reduce its concentration and strong performance after scoreline went into 3:0 scoreline as Neftci Baku did find goal and also got high number of the chances as game progressed. Even through score is positive, Besiktas would need to analyse such relaxation in the end of the game.

From perspective from Neftci Baku, it did struggle to get into game in the start of the game and also whole 1st half which led them to concede 2 goals as early as 23rd minute which would provide in all respect to quality differences between sides pretty difficult. Adana Demirspor has dominated game against Osijek from start to an end.

Even through when looking on paper Adana Demirspor did come out against easiest opponent Osijek and has been expected to get win at home, but surely noone expected side to get dominat game with 5:1 scoreline.

Adana Demirspor which only plays its 3rd game at European competition at its history did look like its been regular side at this competition as it did look confident which has been mainly due of squad which is highly experienced to play in such level. One of the main aspects of Adana Demirspor has been that it has been highly focussed into game during 90 minutes and keep providing lots of tension with finding high level performances which does show that players at team are believing themselves and are aiming to get into group stage at confident manner and in same time enjoying themselves. Hence, this side does provide a view that its not only stronger compare to opponents but also can provide top level performance at group stage if it gets there.

Osijek did come out to the Adana Demirspor as underdogs and it did look to be one at the field as it failed to provide any strong pressure towards and didnt show any reaction with only positive aspect has been at finding 1 goal against opponent.

Adana Demirspor hence did get an important and historical win without doubt with dominating game from start to an end with all 5 goals shown high quality and now can confidently focus into play-off round at Conference League.

Galatasaray got a confident win against Olimpija Ljubjana.

Galatasaray has got a confident win against Olimpija Ljubjana at away game with providing pretty strong positive game and has improved its defensive game compare to Zalgiris and has also provided much more effective attacking game as it got 3:0 win.

There were some factors which did provide worries prior to Champions League 3rd qualifying round game against Olimpija Ljubjana but it did look like Galatasaray technical staff and players did show much more focus and attention to the game as it provided much more creative game with high number of passes and organised performance on the field as it provided strong attacking game. Side did give some opportunities during 1st half towards Olimpija which also included conceded goal which did come from foul but it didnt have any chances during 2nd half. Hence, it could be stated that Galatasaray did get an important advantage prior to 2nd half.

It would be expected for side attackers to be coming back to the field at Galasaray and hence side would be improving its performance during 2nd leg and even raise scoreline more for aggregate.

Fenerbahce will need to give extra effort against Maribor.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to Conference League game as it would be playing Slovenian side Maribor which even through as expected would be coming out as favourite but still much tougher opponent than Zimbru.

In fact, it could be stated that when looking into quality of Maribor, this two leg games would be better test for the sides as Slovenian side would be providing much more controllable and organised game. Positive things among scores against Zimbru has been that Fenerbahce did show pretty strong collective game and organisation which it would be expected to do so in upcoming games and hence would be expected to provide pressure towards Fenerbahce and hence side would be needed to show much more organised performance focussed into defence game more than on previous game.

Fenerbahce would be coming out as mentioned as favourites but it would need to give extra attention to game if it wants to go through.

Besiktas are favourites but it wont be easy tie.

Besiktas are going to continue its route to Conference League group stage as it going to play against Neftci Baku as Azeri club football even through being far from level of performance of Turkish side is showing some important development in recent years.

Besiktas did provide some positive views against KF Tirana and partly during 1st leg and hence even through it could be argued if side is being 100% ready right now it still does provide view that it could show an effective game especially in the attack as it has some important attackers especially Vincent Aboubakar. Neftci Baku could provid e some problematic moments for Besiktas but in generally Turkish side would be expecting to be one in control and creating games but it needs to be careful with counter-attacks.

It wont be an easy tie but in the end of the day Besiktas should be getting win on 1st leg and in tie at overall.

Galatasaray got an upper hand against Olimpija Ljubjana

Galatasaray has got a confident win against Olimpija Ljubjana away game at Champions League 3rd qualifying round as it has shown strong confident and attacking game with showing significant improvement compare to games against Zalgiris.

With Olimpija Ljubjana even through not being in same level as Zalgiris and also it playing 6 games did provide some worries that it could have provided some issues, but Galatasaray it needs to be mentioned has been looked much more organised and detirmined compare to previous round with taking control of the game from kick-off time with creating high number of the chances and in fact could have scored more. It does look that condition of the field which wasnt at very good form in Ljubjana didnt also provide much issues at Galatasatay did show signs that it did do strong preparation for this tie. With finding 3 great goals it could be stated confidently that Galatasaray could even scored more goals in the end of the day and could now look forward for 2nd leg game knowing that its very likely would get to next stage.

Olimpija Ljubjana as been expected did provide some defensive game but didnt do in great manner with allowing Galatasaray to find gaps and this game has showed clearly that Olimpija Ljubjana is pretty far from level of performance compare to Galatasaray.

Galatasaray hence did get an upper hand in this tie if some unexpected happen in Istanbul side would find itself at play-off round of the competition.

Besiktas signs Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Besiktas has made transfer deal with ex-Liverpool Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who did arrive to Istanbul for one-on-one transfer negotiations with club possibly one of the biggest transfers in country after having quiet transfer window.

Besiktas which has been criticised a lot for not being very active during summer transfer window is being close to make one of the biggest transfers this summers which would recieve one of the most talking points not only in Turkey but also around world. Only issue which could be existed regarding Chamberlain that he is not being at best form as he was in previous season but again Turkey has show several cases when its team and league did allow players to get into high level performance and Besiktas administration and supporters would be hoping that it would be similar case with him.

Therefore, Besiktas did make eye-catching transfer but time would show if he would fulfill high expectation given to him.

Antalyaspor signs Britt Assambolonga.

Antalyaspor has signed Britt Assambolonga for 3-years as the player would be expected to provide significant strength to the team in upcoming season as he does have some good experience in this league.

As league is going to be starting this weekend, teams are still continuing to make number of important transfers for upcoming season and one of them without doubt is being Antalyaspor as it did sign name which is being familiar with league and did show some strong performance for numbers of years.
