Turkey showed mixture of performance in opening 2 games at Nations League.

Turkish National Team has completed first 2 games at Nations League at the September period at the top spot in the League B Group 4 thanks to an extra goal scored compare to Wales despite of factor that it did provide two different performances in opening 2 games.

We have seen without doubt 2 different Turkish National Team at the games against Wales and Iceland as it has provided pretty low tempo and uncreative game against Wales where it has been lucky not to lose game while it has shown dominant game against Iceland hence once again providing an image of being unstable side. It needs to be mentioned that playing at home and also lots of criticism during game against Wales did have also an impact at the game against Iceland among level of both sides. Still, getting point at Wales which has been dominating game and did lack finding final touches at attack would be seen as crucial point and help side to end group stage at top spot which would lead them to be promoted to League A.

Turkey did provide two different games and without doubt fans would be expecting for side to show performance which it did against Iceland in more regular cases during whole campaign.

Simon Banza arrived to Trabzon for Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor player Simon Banza has arrived to Trabzon as there has been lots of expectations with an attacking player who has stated that he would provide strong attacking game and feels ready to play against Besiktas in upcoming game.

Trabzonspor it needs to be mentioned did have some serious issues among many during this season and hence this signing could be seen as an advantegous one for the team as he does have some good experience and is being confident player without doubt. Taking account for financial differences between top 3 Istanbul club, this signing could be seen as best option. He would need time to get adapted which could be seen as only down side but when he does it would be expected for him to show some good experience due of high potentiality.

Without doubt Senol Gunes would be aiming for team to show much more attacking game and hence Banza would be playing a crucial role in this new team.

Galatasaray signs Ali Efe Cordek until 2028

Galatasaray has signed young player from 3rd side team Kartal Bulvarspor Ali Efe Cordek until 2028 as there is expectation from player to provide similar development as did Kemal Akturkoglu.

It would be needed to be reminded that Kerem Akturkoglu who has joined Benfica last week, has also been coming from lower leagues and has shown incredible development at Galatasaray due of self will and belief among being at top club. Without doubt, Ali Efe Cordek will provide similar expectations as long as he would provide similar effort and belief to himself but he would need to do so if he wants to be successful at Galatasaray. It would be interesting to see how player would develop and how much effort he would be given to develop as strong player.

Even through not much known about player it would be expected for him to be focussed and aim to develop as strong player at the team in upcoming periods.

Turkey got confident win against Iceland with strong performance.

Turkish National Team had got its 1st win at the Nations League during home game against Iceland thanks to the hat-trick from Kerem Akturkoglu and has got into leadership at the group passing Wales thanks to 1 goal.

Turkey has provided very poor performance against Wales and it was interesting how team would be responding and with Vincenzo Montella going through some changes at starting 11 and also possibly Wales being wake up call has led positive impact to the team as it provided an attacking game. Despite of fact that Akturkoglu has been main star player thanks to his hat-trick, it needs to be mentioned that whole side did provide a positive and attacking game. Turkey didnt provide much possession to its opponents who only have scored due corner kick. Poor quality of opponent did have an effect with this result but it needs to be mentioned that Turkey mentally has changed its gameplay in this game and could get results with such performance.

This performance has been much closer to the Euro 2024 level and did show that it is capable getting great results if it stays focus at game.

Trabzonspor officially appoints Senol Gunes

Trabzonspor has officially announced its head coach Senol Gunes as club's head coach as Gunes has been both legendary goalkeeper and had some historical coaching periods of Trabzonspor.

Without doubt, being someone who has knowledge and connection with team which in all fairness is difficult to manage both within team and outside of it, it has been important to appoint such name. It needs to be mentioned that Senol Gunes would still to be given some time for getting result as he would provide different tactical game and also get rid of poor confidence which team is at and it needs to be given time to him and patience from fans at least until national team which would be taking place in October. Still, Trabzonspor does have pretty good squad and side is capable to get results after its over its mainly psychological issues.

Senol Gunes hence could be moving side forward but would need to be given time upcoming games for sure.

Rizespor terminates contract with Gokkan Akkan

Rizespor has terminated contract with its player Gokkan Akkan as it was known that side didnt have much plans with him especially Ivic Grbic has been transferred day before.

Connection between club and Gokkan Akkan hasnt been in good condition lately and hence it did led to the period where both sides where seeking ways to depart from each other which led for such decision despite of player being an important one in recent years and taking leading role and did make key saves. Right now, it is expected for Gokkan Akkan to sign with new club until transfer deadline on 13th September with rumours that he would join Hatayspor.

Gokkan Akkan is goalkeeper which could provide good advantage for mediocre side and hence it would been expected him to join new club in short period.

Turkey got confident win thanks to Kerem Akturkoglu

Turkish National Team has managed to get an important win against Iceland at home ground in Izmir thanks to the Kerem Akturkoglu hat-trick as team has provided much more attacking and positive performance compare to Wales game.

As it would be remembered, Turkish National Team performance against Wales has been rightfully criticised for passive and low tempo and it does look like team has went through all mistakes which team had from previous game. Team did look much more fresh and agressive at the field with keep looking for chances and creating them which led them to create some great goals. Without doubt, finding an early goal has also played an important role as Iceland tens to show closed and defensive game and best to open in such games is to find which it has managed to do so. It was important to see Turkey got confident win thanks to Kerem Akturkoglu

It was important to see that conceded goal from corner didnt had negative impact to team as it has continued showing an attacking game with Akturkoglu finding 2 more goals. Even through Kerem Akturkoglu did find 2 goals, whole side did show very good and attacking game on the field.

Iceland meanwhile has been focussing to show its own game which is to show patient game with finding goals from set pieces and high balls as it did find goal from corner. To some extend, Iceland did manage to show good performance with this tactical but not having alternative game plan let them to lose game.

Turkey hence did show total change of game compare to Wales game at positive note and it does look like Akturkoglu joining Benfica has provided relaxation and confidence which has been present with his performance on field.

Hatayspor signs Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar.

Hatayspor has transferred Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar as he has been into selling list of Istanbul giant but did have an issue with convincing player to leave but it does look all sides has made a deal.

It could be stated that this deal has been win-win step as Besiktas has been able to get rid of one of the players which it had difficulty to do so during whole summer transfer window and would now have an opportunity to sign another player until transfer deadline on 13th September. It needs to be mentioned that with Riza Calimbay being appointed at Hatayspor, he has played an important role with this transfer as he did have spell with player beforehand at Besiktas. Meanwhile, Hatayspor which are struggling so far during this season did get player who would be able to show top level performance if he would be highly focussed.

Hence, this has been pretty important deal between sides and would solve some important issues for both clubs for this season.

Rizespor loans Ivo Grbic

Rizespor loans Sheffield United goalkeeper Ivo Grbic and hence did strength its goalkeeper position as this would be seen an important signing taking account that club does aim to have successful season.

With taking account quality and experience of Ivo Grbic, this transfer could be seen as most productive potentially for Rizespor and would provide some relaxation at defensive position if Grbic would provide strong performance which he is capable at. It is known that for some days team did get this loan as priority and has managed that as Ivo Grbic would be accepted to start showing confident performance at goal from upcoming weeks.

Rizespor did sign an important player taking account its financial capacity and would now hope he would fulfill his expectation at the side.
