Trabzonspor has lost to Rapid Wien at home ground.

Trabzonspor has lost to Austria side Rapid Wien at home ground with 1:0 scoreline at home ground after conceding goal from Lukas Grgic as Trabzonspor has continued to show an ineffective performance at home ground once again.

It needs to be mentioned that despite of getting through Ruzemberog at home ground, Trabzonspor has continued to show an ineffective performance at home ground and has led many chances to Rapid Wien as Ugurcan Cakir has made 3 saves during game and did keep chances alive for next round. Rapid Wien despite of finding only one goal has been side which did look to be closer at goal and did create lots of opportunities and chances. Therefore, it does look from all games so far at Europa League that Trabzonspor does have a defensive issue and it cant rely too much into attacking players who didnt find many chances tonight in each manner. Trabzonspor does need to improve a lot for 2nd leg and start of the season and focus especially to defence.

Rapid Wien despite of only finding one goal has been better side all round and could easily find more goals if it wasnt for Trabzonspor goalkepeer Ugurcan Cakir and hence did get an important advantage at home ground.

Trabzonspor hence once again has shown ineffective performance and would especially need to focus to defensive game in for upcoming days without doubt.

Basaksehirspor did get small advantage at the tie against Iberia.

Basaksehirspor has got crucial an away goal against Georgian side Iberia at 87th minute Davidson with great organising game at the game where side did fail to get full control of the game.

Even through Basaksehirspor did get slight advantage over Georgian side at Conference League, it needs to be mentioned that it ended up much more tougher game than it has been expected as Georgian side did provide some good organised game. Fenerbahce didnt provide strong performance against Lille.

Fenerbahce has lost its 1st leg game against Lille during Champions League 3rd qualifying round at away game as team continued to provide pretty ineffective performance with risky game showing at defence.

Even through there were some short positive aspects at Fenerbahce performance, it needs to be mentioned that in overall team didnt show strong and creative game as it been slow and tends to show very risky game close to the defence which led team to concede 2 simple goals and does look to be one of the main issues at the team is being defence as Ferdi Kadioglu is being only good player in that zone. Lille it would be stated didnt provide performance which has been expected from them and also looked to be pretty ineffective but Fenerbahce didnt use that opportunity. Fenerbahce now does have doable but pretty task of turning around game in 2nd leg but to do that it does need to improve defensive game and also provide different formation with Adana Demirspor at league could be good test.

Fenerbahce has played 3 official games and has been very far from expected performance which includes Jose Mourinho focus and it does look like it would take time for game to be set.

Trabzonspor would need to improve its defensive game if it wants to get good result.

Trabzonspor would come out without doubt to pretty tough game against Rapid Wien at Europa League 3rd qualifying round as it would be playing against side which is being used and expected to be European tournaments.

Trabzonspor when coming to beating Ruzemborog at previous round, did get confident scoreline but it does need to improve its performance against Rapid Wien as opponent especially at away game did create many chances. Rapid Wien would be expected to be more creative and effective at attack and hence performance of defenders would be playing much more careful game while an attack if get opponent could convert chances but as been noted good defensive could mentally provide relaxation to Trabzonspor defenders. Trabzonspor does have chance to get through but it would need to show strong and organised game for 90 minutes.

Its hard to call definite opponent as both side being close to its level but Trabzonspor does have some good players including attackers.

Basaksehirspor are strong favourites against Iberia.

Basaksehirspor would be coming out as strong favourites against Georgian side Iberia during Conference League 3rd qualifying round but it would be much more tougher game compare to La Fiorita.

One of the advantages for Basaksehirspor has been for playing against La Fiorita as team without doubt would be coming to this tie with high motivation and confidence but it also need to be more focussed as Iberia will not be expected to provide too much pressure but still would show much more effective game compare to La Fiorita. Uneffective game from Fenerbahce has led Lille to win 1st leg of tie.

Fenerbahce has lost 3rd qualifying round game against Lille at away game with 2:1 scoreline as it once again didnt manage to show an effective game for 90 minutes as it looked to be passive with Lille being slightly lucky.

With not very effective performance during Lugano game, there were curiousity if Fenerbahce would improve with its performance and even through there were some positive signs from 1st leg, it still provided some warning signs at defensive and midfielding game as Fenerbahce has managed to get some crucial changes. In fact, it was observed that Lille were not at great form and didnt provide much danger to Fenerbahce side its been especially saddened for Istanbul giant to lose game in such manner. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has made some crucial mistakes at the defence with playing risky game at the spot where it needs to be played least which led for Lille to find 2 very simple and easy goals. Another factor has been poor performance from Edin Dzeko who does have serious decline from previous season which could lead Mourinho using him less in upcoming weeks.

Lille as been noted didnt provide much danger as was expected as side didnt look to be entirely prepared and has played with defensive game mainly and also foung goals more from luck rather providing an effective attacking game.

Still, in 2 legs game 2:1 is not very bad result but it would need to improve its performance while also support from Fenerbahce supporters would play an important role and it would need to provide more pushing force compare to Lugano home game.

Antalyaspor loans Emrecan Uzunhan.

Antalyaspor has loaned Besiktas player Emrecan Uzunhan as player would be able to get much more playing time at mediocre side as Uzunhan does prove himself to be player with high potential but unlucky to get some playing time.

Even through Emrecan Uzunhan didnt get much of playing time during previous season when he did show some quality and hence has been seen among players who could become leading players at Besiktas and generally in Turkey. It needs to be mentioned that Uzunhan joining Antalyaspor could be great option as it is being team which does have aims to get some top section of the standings and hence he would be able to get some crucial time and return to Besiktas at good form.

Besiktas is being team which does go through some revision and this decision to Uzunhan join Antalyaspor could be good one in long run for sure.

Erokspor loans 2 players from Basaksehirspor

Erokspor has loaned Basaksehirspor players Berkay Aydogmus and Francis Nzaba as both players would be getting some playing time at lower league and develop into better players. 

Therefore, Basaksehirspor did sell 2 players which would not get much playing time in their team even if they are would be competing at three tournaments and do mainly of inexperience of both players, they would get much needed time and hence would let players to develop into more stronger players. Erokspor without doubt did get an important loan of two players who would let players to develop into better players while Erokspor would be able to use players from Super League clubs.

Fenerbahce does have capacity to get good result against Lille.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to Champions League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg at away game against French opponent Lille as in all fairness it does have capacity to take advantage scoreline for 2nd leg but it would need to improve compare to its performance against Lugano.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce which does seek to enter at group stage of Champions League does have squad quality and also head coach Jose Mourinho who is being a winner, but as been noted several times Fenerbahce didnt provide very good performance against Lugano despite of winning both games and hence needs to improve its performance especially at midfield and defence and if it does achieve that during game it wouldbe able to create some chances especially taking account that French sides does have issues at qualifying rounds in recent years and Fenerbahce could use this pressure on opponent as advantage.

Fenerbahce does have quality to get good result in this tie but as been noted it needs to improve its performance. Meanwhile, side would play against winners of Slavia Prague and Royale Union if it goes through.

Galatasaray has drawn against Young Boys.

Galatasaray has been drawn against Swiss champions Young Boys as it would be coming out as favourites as this tie but taking reference Turkish Super Cup against Besiktas, it would need to provide much more effective game.

Young Boys might not be side which does get to Champions League group stage at regular basis but it is being side which does play lots of qualification and hence are familiar in this level of performance hence Galatasaray needs to get full focus into opponent if it doesnt want to get surprise. Besiktas has been drawn against winners of Europa League tie between Partizan and Lugano as team is being familiar with latter from previous season at same tournament while Lugano did have chance to play against Fenerbahce.

It needs to be stated that Besiktas has shown very promising start of the season against Galatasaray and if it would be able to carry on similar performance until 1st leg of this tie it would be coming out as strong favourites whoever would be opponent. Stating that, there is not much difference at the quality of the stuff as Partizan does look slightly more tougher opponent but still is being side which Besiktas could get good result. Also, in other side of the coin Besiktas wouldnt mind to play against Lugano with seeking to get revenge from last season poor results.

Besiktas has wanted Turkish Super Cup much more than Galatasaray

Besiktas had a perfect start of the season as it has won Galatasaray at Super Cup game with 5:0 and has shown that it has very high aims as it shown 180 degree turn of performance with Ciro Immobile making clear that he aims to show top performance at the team.

Following poor performance during last season which led to some crucial changes at Besiktas during this summer transfer window, it was expected for Besiktas to show totally different and more attacking performance and it has overpassed even expectations as it controlled game, was seeking to attack, forced Galatasaray to make mistakes and when their did it used their chances very effectively. Besiktas player Ciro Immobile folowing mistake of Victor Nelsson at the start of the game has led team to find goal on 21st second which went into  record as fastest goal at Turkish Super Cup. Following that goal, Besiktas continued to show strong game and found 4 other goals in 2nd half and made clear that their are ready for new seasons. 

Besiktas still needs places to improve performance wise as it been clear from yesterday performance but it was much more motivated and concentrated compare to Galatasaray during game.

Galatasaray didnt show anything at quality matter.

Galatasaray was quite opposite from Besiktas as players did lack concentration and has been way behind from performance which it has shown when won title in last season and it does look Okan Buruk would need to do lots of work psychologically before Hatayspor game.

With Galatasaray staying at same squad as it did in last season, only worry prior to game has been into tempo of performance for being in the season but it still was expected tactically to show good game but it was lacking so much that it did fail to get control of the ball for long time and did make very simple and unforgetable mistakes which Besiktas has used in very good manner. With such performance on the field losing game with 5:0 scoreline should not be seen as surprise at all and if game lasted longer Besiktas could easier find some new goals. There was also some mistakes in tactical performance which means that Okan Buruk would need to go through that to.

Galatasaray without doubt would now focus to Hatayspor at Super League new season opener to prove themselves again to be strong favourite for title.

Fenerbahce interested to sign Ilkay Gundogan.

One of the most eye-catching transfer news on this day has been rumours that Fenerbahce are interested to sign Barcelona player Ilkay Gundogan.

It is reported that Jose Mourinho would be very willing to see Ilkay Gundogan as he would be able to sort midfielding issue at the team which has been pretty visible during both games against Lugano. With taking account that Gundogan is being unhappy at Barcelona and does consider to leave team, it could be an effective manner for Gundogan to consider joining Fenerbahce, even through if some other top European clubs would show some interest things would be changes as Gundogan still likes to be staying at top league understandably.

Besiktas has got humiliating win against Galatasaray.

Besiktas has got a confident and surprisingly an easy win against Galatasaray at Turkish Super Cup with 5:0 scoreline as it started new season with a title and has shown full dominance of the game.

Our blog has stated on preview of the game that there has been questions how would Besiktas perform as Galatasaray didnt have much changes to its title winning squad while Besiktas which did aim to show much more competitive and stronger performance with changes of squad did create much more curiousity to Turkish football followers and Besiktas has overpassed those expectations. Without doubt an early goal from Ciro Immobile at 1st minute from simple mistake from Victor Nelsson did have an impact for rest of the game as Besiktas has shown much more organised game. It needs to be mentioned that in all fairness Besiktas didnt show its best game and are being far from its ideal game but it did look to be much more ready for game compare to Galatasaray.

Galatasaray on their part has shown surprisingly weak game as it didnt look to be concentrated, motivated and have any clear plans at attack with its performance and add to that poor performance and simple mistakes at defence has led for such outcome of the game. There were expectations that Galatasaray which more or less did come out with same squad to which it won title in last season, it has been very far away from performance which would be expected from them. It needs to be mentioned that despite of winning title for 2 years back-to-back in same seasons it didnt provide very good performance but even taking that account, Galatasaray has shown very uneffective game and doesnt look to be ready for upcoming season as it would be playing next week against Hatayspor.

Besiktas has wanted to win this Turkish Super Cup much more than Galatasaray and does provide view that its being ready for upcoming season while Galatasaray does provide crucial worrying sign prior to start of new Super League season.

Galatasaray has made deal with Norwich City player Gabriel Sara.

Norwich City player Gabriel Sara has arrived to Istanbul for one-on-one transfer negotiations with Galatasaray as club has made deal both with club and player and does look like it solved midfielding issue.

Galatasaray transfer politics during this summer transfer window has been to keep its title squad of last season but did see its weakest position is being an attacking midfielder and it does look it has solved this issue with signing Gabriel Sara. Saudi Arabic clubs Al Khalood has offered 500,000 euro loan offer to Besiktas for Jackson Muleka with transfer option of 2.5 million euro fee which has been treated as good development for Turkish giant as it considers to sell player.

Jackson Muleka is being among players at the list which Besiktas does consider to sell during this summer transfer window as it didnt have plans to use player during this season and also seeked to reduce its foreign players list. With Saudi Arabic offering good amounts, it would not hard financially to convince Muleka and also team would be getting positive response. Trabzonspor has lots to improve on for Rapid Vienna game.

Trabzonspor has qualified to Europa League 3rd qualifying round after beating Ruzemberog with an aggregate scoreline of 3:0 as it didnt provide necessarily dominated game in both legs but did provide some positive view from attackers and especially Ugurcan Cakir at goal.

It needs to be mentioned that when at how side performed in 2nd leg at home ground compare to previous week, team did show some more organising game and has created much more chances despite of finding only one goal thanks to the Denis Dragus. It needs to be mentioned that to some extend Trabzonspor has been lucky since Ruzemberog did create much more chances but did lack final touches. Trabzonspor hence did provide some positive performance but still needs to improve an attacking and defensive game as Rapid Wien would be coming to its opponent in pretty good form as it beaten Wisla 8:2 scoreline.
