Shakhtar Donetsk was coming as a strong favourite at the game against Basaksehirspor during Europa League 1st leg game at the playoff stage and it has shown its superiority with 2:1 scoreline. Basaksehirspor did play its best football but as expected it had very tough time against experienced team.
It was hard for Basaksehirspor to provide same level fight against the team which has set an eye to get to the group stage of the Europa League and it needed to provide strong resistence which it tried to do but the experience of Ukrainian side and quality of the team has shown why their came out as favourites. The goal which has been scored by Emre Belozoglu in penalty does have bring some small chance for the 2nd leg and it does provide them chance to fight back but playing against strong Ukrainian fans in the Lviv surely will be hard for them and hence the chances seem to be low. It needs howeverto be stated that this game has brought lots of experience to Basaksehirspor and as been stated beforehand their did recieve strongest opponent among all Turkish teams at the Europa League in this stage.
Shakhtar Donetsk has played a game like it should been showing its superiority to the Basaksehirspor and by controlling game has won it with 2:1 and will be looking at return game next week with calmness lots of optimism.
As been stated above, Basaksehirspor does still have chance at 2nd leg but it would be hard task and its just need to stay focus and believe for next week game.
Osmanlispor carries on its impressive Europa League campaign
Osmanlispor carries on its memorable campaign at the Europa League qualifiers after winning Mitdjylland in the Denmark during play-off stage 1st leg game and carries on its unbeatable run after 6 games and shows right now to whole Europe that it has set its aim to qualify to the group stage of the tournament.
Osmanlispor doesnt show any fear during the games due of recieving so many games at the tournament so far and in fact is using its advantage of starting competitions so early by improving by each game. As been stated earlier , this has been the most tough opponent for them in this campaign as the team Danish team has lots of experience in the Europe including beating Manchester United last season. It has controlled game from the start providing a great football with lots of confidence which has led team to get its first goal at 20th minute even through its been own goal scored by Mitdjylland player Peter Jensen. Osmanlispor during the game has shown all of its focus towards the game and was very careful at its defence without allowing its opponents to create high number of chances. Surely, taking such a good result and coming back to Ankara with away goal difference it would aim to end its job at 2nd leg and make it more safe.
Mitdjylland surely didnt expect such a result from today's game and was surely playing still good football but Osmanlispor did show more preparedness which surely has played an important role for such a result at today's game.
