What happened in Turkish football today? 13/06/2020

Basaksehirspor did provide patient tactics to win game.

Basaksehirspor continues its catching up game against Trabzonspor as it has won Alanyaspor with 2:0 scoreline, while their opponents title hopes has been surely ended as it is 13 points behind leaders with 7 games to go.

It needs to be noted that both clubs didnt manage to provide especially high tempo of the game despite of some good results, but it needs to be stated that Basaksehirspor did provide performance which we used by them which is been some forward seeking performance but with providing patient game which led them to get some good chances. It needs to be noted however even through this game could be seen as disadvantage in this season, it needs to be admitted that this season would be played with slow tempo due of no supporters which  could be crucial role. Meanwhile, Basaksehirspor player Mahmut Tekdemir did find his 1st goal during this season from corner which is been positive for him as he would be gaining motivation for upcoming games and right now this would provide some good hopes for upcoming season. Still it would be glad to keep itself in title race with this result.

Alanyaspor meanwhile did come out to the game which would mean if it would mean game it could stay in title race but it did provide pretty dissapointing performance and despite did create some chances, it didnt look to be too creative and played with slow tempo. Alanyaspor still does have Europa League aims right now.

Basaksehirspor didnt provide incredible great game but it did enough to win this game and this more tactical style of game could bring them title this season.

Besiktas didnt look as good as Antalyaspor.

Besiktas didnt return to the Super League in the way it was hoping too as it has lost to Antalyaspor with 2:1 scoreline, without being too effective on the front despite of having control of ball for most time of the game and had put its difficult aim for title even more harder.

Even through Besiktas did provide game with having some chances and possibilities, it could be stated without doubt that Antalyaspor, especially during 1st half has been side which looked much more willing side to create chances and has been converted them with finding 2 goals thanks to Sinan Gumus and Amilton. Inexperience of Ersan Destanoglu who has played his first professional game did also provided outcome of such result even through throwing whole blame would be unfair and he did show some good moments during game and this game would surely provide important lesson for future games. It needs to be noted that during 2nd half Besiktas provided much more attacking game with Adam Ljajic entering to game and scoring goal but it wasnt enough to find 2nd goal to equalize game. Still Besiktas did provide performance which was below of its expectations and needs to improve its performance for rest of the season to fight for top 4 position.

Antalyaspor in other hand looked to be in much better condition and especially during 1st half has controlled ball with converting chances and did get deserved win without doubt. It carries on good performance with Tamer Tuna.

Besiktas did provide some positive moments especially during 2nd half but it looked to be pretty far from attacking game which was expected from them.

Trabzonspor continues top level performance of despite of 3-months break

Trabzonspor has provided pretty positive performance during Super League 27th week against as it has maanged to win with 3:1 scoreline and didnt provide any signs that 3-month could have provided negative impact towards them.

Trabzonspor has been focussed towards game without doubt and provided fast tempo of the game from start of the game looking for chances which led them to find goal from Nwakaeme header.
Possibly only negative aspect of whole game has been two yellow cards of Guilherme which led team to be played bit more then 1st half with 10 men and if Trabzonspor didnt get result it seek for one of main blames would be given towards him. Another aspect of the game has been decision of
Trabzonspor head coach Huseyin Cimsir decision to substitute Nwakaeme who have provided good game which led for him to be also highly surprised. Even through Nwakaeme did provide great game, team still managed to get 3 points and score 2 more goals, so possibly Cimsir had plan with such substitute which did work well.

Trabzonspor without doubt did provide strong confident performance during game and does look to be ready for rest of the season including against tough 2nd leg Turkish Cup semi-final game against Fenerbahce.
