What happened in Turkish football today? 11/06/2020

Trabzonspor would restart its title race against Goztepe.

Turkish Super League after almost 3 month break would be resuming with league leaders who would be playing against Goztepe in Izmir as it would be hoping to carry on its top level winning performance after restart.

Without doubt, it would be hard for all clubs to provide high level performance after such long period, but it would be specifically difficult for clubs which are currently at the title race. However,
Trabzonspor has been noted to go through such period without much damages regarding virus with having very good and organised training session which in return for sure would reflect into their own reflection. It could also use no-supporters aspect in this game to its own advantage since Goztepe fans are among strongest and dedicated in whole country which hence would lead them to be felt much less under pressure so it would be bit easier for them to provide good level performance as long as it manages to control game. Goztepe which doesnt have much aims for rest of the season could have harder time to get focussed into good game without supporters.

Trabzonspor hence does come out as favourite, but as case with all clubs its hard specifically to know their condition prior to game.

Kayserispor would need to win game more then Fenerbahce.

Another game, which would be played on restart date of the Turkish football would be between Fenerbahce and Kayserispor where this game without doubt would be more crucial to Kayserispor which are fighting to stay in the league.

Fenerbahce as been stated several times by whole club would be focussing entirely to Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game against Trabzonspor and due of also conditions which games would be played, it could have some difficult time to get entire focus towards Kayserispor even through it would be hoping to get win before cup game and also for caretaker coach Tahir Karakipinar to start his 8-game period with win. In other hand, even through Fenerbahce for high spots seems to be difficult right now, it could see this restart of season as new beginning and this factor without doubt would affect with their own performance for rest of the season. Kayserispor on their part would be focussing into staying in the league and good result against Fenerbahce would be strong motivation for them.

Hence, Kayserispor could be more highly focussed towards game but Fenerbahce would aim to show top level performance as league would resume.

Those 8 weeks would be very unusual at Super League.

Following 87 days, Super League would be resuming in Turkey, as it been stopped due of Covid 19 pandemic, and league hence would be completed with extra precautions which without doubt would be new and unexperienced experience for all people who are involved with league.

Without doubt, due of all this news, when watching football there would be reminder of people leaving during Covid-19 pandemic period right now, with stands being empty, substitutes stand and ball boys wearing masks and all other restrictions which would be taken place during game.
Therefore, this would affect in interesting manner to games which would be experienced with last 8 weeks, it might not have specifically negative impact but this 8 week period would be totally different. To some extend, one of the winners, of this new normal could be referees which could be reduced of the pressure during games as no strong would be provided from fans and players as their cant get close to them during game. Also with limited celebration following goals would look unusual for football fans.

Hence, this last 8 weeks would be very unusual experience and we would be looking some historical games which been dominated due of pandemic.
