Fatih Terim return to his home has been ended with confident win against Goztepe

4th return of Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim to his home ground has ended up being with a win against Goztepe with 3:1 scoreline even through the changes of the team didnt been felt as team did provide good football at its home games with Igor Tudor also.

But it does need to be stated that even through Galatasaray didnt start game in a great way it has improved as game carried on and has ended up being with 3 very beautiful goals by the team which certainly has come from motivational boost to the team and its supporters. The factor that Terim which has risen motivation to all supporters and players did provide arleady hard period for Goztepe even through their have found good goals during game. What was visible during today's game from Galatasaray that it has also focussed into an attacking game especially after conceding goal. Still, with how it performed Trabzonspor head coach Riza Calimbay has reasons to be satisfied as the team has provided an attacking focussed game creating team which wanted to win.

Karabukspor did manage to survive from such an attacking game from Trabzonspor and did gain high amount of motivation as it was being in very bad position at the table and this draw would provide some hope for 2nd half where it needs to do many things to stay at the league.

Fenerbahce still has winning spirit despite losing 2 points against Konyaspor.

In similar manner as Trabzonspor today, Fenerbahce has ended its 5th game winning streak as it has drawn with Konyaspor with 1:1 scoreline and even through did get leaderhsip for short while did lose an important 2 points at league where right now every point is important.

Fenerbahce didnt provide a good performance during 1st half and it needs to be admitted that Konyaspor were knowing pretty well Aykut Kocaman as he coached them and this knwoledge of what kind of game he plays has led them to control game. The goal which was conceded from very simple mistake of Mauricio Isla at 2nd half has woke up Fenerbahce as their found equalisier and did find high number of the chances after scoring goal but were unlucky and also for Fernandao and Valbuena missing such an important chances,and positive thing was that team has shown strong winning spirit but it wasnt enough for them to win game. Fenerbahce didnt manage to win game despite of providing an attacking football for most part of the 2nd half. 

Fenerbahce has ended its unbeating run at the Super League of 5 games as it has drawn with Konyaspor with 1:1 scoreline even through it has failed to get positive result with providing fighting spirit towards end of the game as both sides has come out to the game aiming to win game.

In fact, Fenerbahce player Fernandao has been close to bring winning goals with finding 3 100% chances but unfortunately to the side has missed opportunities. It needs to be Konyaspor which are at bottom side of the table did come out to win game and this factor has led them to have some opportunities to them. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce has had trouble to create good chances to find goals during 1st half as it played without central attacker and hence has been pretty weak but Fenerbahce has shown with much better performance during 2nd half has changed its tactic focussing more into attackers during the game. Fenerbahce did provide good performance during 2nd half but with conceding goal during 58th minute against Sahiner has affected to the scoreline of the game. Still this game would let change tactics against Konyaspor and would set some idea for 2nd half of the season.

Konyaspor did provide good performance during today's game and has been effective to stop Fenerbahce creating dangerous chances during game and has got an important draw for themselves at the end of the game.

Fenerbahce didnt manage to get win which it needed for title race but its game during 2nd half despite of conceding goal did provide some promises tactically.

Besiktas has lost an important game against Sivasspor.

Besiktas which was coming from good motivation from previous game didnt manage to get an upper hand during Super League 17th week game with losing to Sivasspor with 2:1 scoreline and has lost an important game prior to mid-season transfer window.

It does need to be stated that Sivasspor even through did control ball for most of the game it wasnt able to get an upper hand during game and this tempo did go into hand of Sivasspor who has shown great preparation prior to this game. Meanwhile, without having Champions League league game this week it can send an excuse for such performance and it is visible that the issue of Besiktas losing points at away game could be due of playing away rather than Champions League factor.

Sivasspor has shown good performance today and has played good team performance and its visible that their had studied Besiktas a lot prior to game. Sivasspor could show great results if it performs like that during 2nd half.

Besiktas did lose an important game against Sivasspor and following Turkish Cup at midweek would be going to mid-season break trying to fill its absences for league and Champions League at transfer window.

Fatih Terim would provide extra motivation to Galatasaray in game against Goztepe.

Fenerbahce would be aiming to end 1st half of season with comfortable win against Konyaspor.

With Fenerbahce gaining a great motivation with its recent results including against Karabukspor which it gained without providing its best performance would be aiming for certain among win to get into confident manner and without conceding goal. With taking account how teams are performing lately Fenerbahce would certainly come out as favourite. What makes this game more unique that it would be 1st game against Konyaspor for Aykut Kocaman who did spend pretty successful last 2 seasons with letting them win Turkish Cup and on season before ending league at 3rd place. Galatasaray has appointed Fatih Terim for his 4th term at the team.

Galatasaray has announced that it has started talks with Fatih Terim regarding of his appointment as club head coach and he is expected to sign with club on 22nd December. The talks about him coming to the team has become into reality with so much push by media and fans.

There was in fact news stating that according to contract which would be signed with new appointed head coach, which is expected to be done prior to early CEO election at the team, there is right for changed CEO to terminate contract. This factor to some notice has been put to reduce chance of misunderstanding and conflict with new CEO might have with coach. It is reported that Fatih Terim did state that he doesnt want to work for instance with Unal Aysal who might be selected as new CEO in May, even through for now he is not running for that position. There are also talks that Fatih Terim could even run for CEO position even through by some this is seen unlikely as Fatih Terim.However, Fatih Terim has decided to carry on his connection with Galatasaray as head coach and seems to be happy about this decision as he has posted at Twitter asking users and Galatasaray: where did we stopped?

Fatih Terim has always been number one choice for this position since he was sacked from Turkish National Team and being most successful coach at the team, "The Imperator" looks to be back to his castle.

18 weeks of Super League promises to be with full of excitement with 6 teams being at title race.

With last week of 1st half getting started tomorrow between Antalyaspor and Alanyaspor tomorrow, there is big question which team would be entering as league leaders to festive season as there are 5 teams at the top who has  3 point difference with each other.

Basaksehirspor being leaders with 33 points following with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray with 32 points and Besiktas, Kayserispor and Goztepe with 30 points and Trabzonspor at 6th with 28 points it is clear that we are having a very good season with 6 teams fighting for league title in mid-season break at 18-team. Even through it does look that average point of top team would be reduced due of high amount of losses this raises a great excitement with one of the main reasons having high number of foreign players. It does look like unless one team would get great series of win like Galatasaray did in start of season than we would have a great fight untill last minute of this season and it promises to be very exciting league for last of 18 weeks.

It is hard to call who would be champions but with latest form it needs to be stated that Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor are showing great performance and with this continuation might even get into battle with each other.

Bursaspor are interested with Moussa Sow as long as transfer fee is not too high

Bursaspor CEO Ali Ay has stated at the statement to the media that their recieved direct transfer offer for Al Ahli player Moussa Sow and their would be interested with him if transfer offer wont be too expensive.

Ali Ay has stated that the team still has serious economical issues and hence its aims to spend least but effective transfer politics and would like to purchase Moussa Sow but as long as it would be able to fill their transfer budget. Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek can lose an early election even if he calls it to secure his reign.

Today's blog would mainly as would be expected focussed towards situation which Galatasaray is at right now with starting hottest topic at the club regarding of upcoming CEO election.

Even through calling an early election by CEO Dursun Ozbek could be seen as an aim to prove that things are not great at the team and provide signs that he is open for a change it is also important to read this move as actually attempt to make his reign at the position even much more stronger. During press conference provided yesterday by Dursun Ozbek does state that it also an attempt to fill the space which was left by fellow resigns which happened at the administration in recent months.
Among the signs that the aim was to make his reign even more stronger could be seen also for election coming for shorter period as it is short time for CEO candidates to make their decision and build strong administration team and programme against Dursun Ozbek. Still Ozbek did recieve some big negative views with his management of club in latest period and with opposition coming out strong their might even defeat him in suprise and unexpected manner .

It is clear that pre-election period would be very hot and ongoing especially underlying that after 1 week there would be midseason break following Turkish Cup last 16 1st leg games the main focus would be towards aiming to gain points from administrators prior to election and hence we would see a huge campaign.

Media and fans decide to sack Tudor and appoint Terim, not administration.

One of the most talking points right at the Galatasaray is who would be new head coach or even more precisely would club's legendary coach Fatih Terim return to the team or not. For now, Galatasaray has been ruled mainly by fans and media so would their get what their want.

It is known for long time that media plays an important role at the clubs which could lead to resignation and appointments of coaches and CEO's. It is no secret that ongoing criticism towards Igor Tudor by media even when it was leading table at the standings quite comfortably and are still 1 point behind league leaders, something by the media didnt like him. Now, if Igor Tudor was sacked to bring Fatih Terim without making deal with him than team would be in big issue and might have some difficulty at finding replacement for head coach role especially from outside Turkey.

Seleznyov announces that he would be leaving Karabukspor. 

Karabukspor player Yevgeniy Seleznyov at his Instagram account has announced that he would be leaving his team during mid-season transfer window stating he was happy to play at this club.

Without doubt, especially last season, Yevheniy Seleznyov has played an important and key role with his performance as with quality he has become one of the key players. However, with the team is at both financially and performance, as it does look like their would be relegated, unless some external changes happen at team it is quite naturally for him to leave team. Being foreigner and still looking to end his career, as he gets older, in more stable condition it could be understood and should not be criticised much. Fenerbahce is just 1 point behind league leaders.

Fenerbahce has managed to win its 5th game back to back at the Super League this time beating last-placed Karabukspor with 2:0 scoreline even through it didnt manage to provide their best performance with possibly taking opponent too lightly especially during 1st half.

In fact, Fenerbahce has failed to get control of the game for entire 1st half of the game without not only being able to create dangerous chances but even not being able to provide any effective few passes. It was visible that Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman needs to do some important changes during half-time and he has done them with substitution of Sener Ozbayrakli and Mathieu Valbuena. With Valbuena entering to the field the game has changed with not only him providing great assist to Mehmet Topal and scoring 2nd goal but also raising tempo in overall of the game and helping Fenerbahce to reduce point difference to 1 point against Basaksehirspor with 1 week left until mid-season break.

Fenerbahce didnt provide a great game but it did manage to get an important win without conceding at home which is rarity during this season.

Dursun Ozbek gives reasons for an early election.

Galatasaray situation both with Igor Tudor resignation and even more for calling an early election either 13 or 20 January next year has created an internal issue with some administrators and opposition being worried that this an attempt for Dursun Ozbek to make his reign stronger.

In fact during today's press conference Dursun Ozbek sounded pretty sure that he would be one who would win election stating that the reason for this is to renew his administration and also fill vacuum which has been left by administrators who have resigned previously from their posts. He does state that he is willing to to accept some of the opposition and does stated that to call an early notice election is not too early and high amount of personalities were arleady preparing themselves for this election and will not have issue to put their candidacy and administration team. He also underlined that rumours of appointment of Fatih Terim who he is respecting does damage both to club and to Terim. Meanwhile, their are arleady two candidates who would posting their opposition to Dursun Ozbek who are Turgay Kiran and  Adnan Ozturk who expects to announce his candidacy. Both has played important at administrative part of team before-hand.

Therefore, it does look like interesting things are happening at team on those days and lets see what kind of changes would happen at the team in near future.

Crystal Palace has offered 20 million euro for Besiktas player Cenk Tosun.

Crystal Palace has provided 20 million transfer offer to Besiktas player Cenk Tosun hence also showing how serious their approaching for this transfer to take place during this period.

Despite of this eye-watering transfer offer, it is still expected for Besiktas to decline this transfer offer as among expecting high transfer offer it would also demand to sell him, if it would to a team which would also be able to provide high level performance, likely at the level of Champions League. To all respect to Palace, it is obviously that their dont fill this criteria at all even through their did provide 20 million euro offer which has been set as minimum to sell Cenk Tosun by Besiktas. With winter transfer window getting closer it is clear that offers towards Tosun would be more and values will be higher. Fenerbahce didnt allow Karabukspor to provide big surprise result towards them. 

Fenerbahce didnt allow Karabukspor to provide surprising result against them during Super League 16th week game as it has won with 2:0 scoreline at the game which it had tough period at creating high number of chances as Karabukspor has come to get at least draw.

From paper it looked like Fenerbahce would be able to get a confident win against Karabukspor as it would be played against last place team at the Super League and have some serious internal issues among its field. But it has trouble at creating high level of chances during 1st half and the key of the game has been Mathieu Valbuena who has come out during 2nd half and speeded up during game. With scoring 2nd goal he has also got an important role at the Mehmet Topal goal during 56th minute. It was still important for not conceding a goal from Karabukspor as it didnt concede goal at home for long time. Only issue is being 4 yellow cards punished players with Martin Skrtel being one of them at defence prior to last game of 1st half against Konyaspor.

Karabukspor with taking its situation at the table did provide pretty good discipline during 1st half and with knowing its situation has fought for a draw but wasnt able to stop to quality goals from Fenerbahce during 2nd half.

Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor has been sacked from his position despite of being 2nd place at league.

Following loss to Yeni Malatyaspor with 2:1 scoreline, Galatasaray had very active day today as patience of Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek and other administrator towards head coach Igor Tudor has been ended and has led for resignation of head coach.

Besiktas is pretty unbeatable when their give full concentration to game. 

Besiktas has provided one of its best performance during this season as it has dominated from start to an end Super League 16th week game against Osmanlispor which it has won with 5:1 comfortable scoreline.

With Champions League games being ended until mid-February Besiktas would now be able to focus entirely to the Super League with upcoming 3-4 weeks and aim to catch up with top places teams with also providing very attacking football. And it has achieved during Osmanlispor game where it has dominated game from start to an end with Ryan Babel hat-tricks during game making him star player as he was hungry to find goals during whole game. Besiktas has provided once again that when their provide full focus to the game their can become pretty unstoppable team and with such a game did show that if it carries on like that it can get league title once again but key issue is to show this performance during whole games.
