Galatasaray has got most confident of this year as 2016 ends.

Galatasaray has ended year of 2016 at the Super League with most confident win it had during this season at the game against Alanyaspor with 5:1 scoreline at the game which was dominated by the Wesley Sneijder.

Galatasaray player Wesley Sneijder had provided his the best game of this season with scoring a very quality goal and giving 3 assists hence having direct role in 4 goals out of 5 goals scored tonight. Their did start game a bit edgy with Alanyaspor managing to find few chances at the start of the game and not able to defend its 1:0 scoreline for 9 minutes. However, as the scoreline has become 3:1, Galatasaray has got all of the control of the game and with Alanyaspor has lost all concentration and to some extend has lost control of the game. In fact, Galatasaray could have found much more goals during the game especially with the chances of Bruma which could lead the game to end the game with bigger goal difference. Galatasaray would certainly look into 2017  with high expectation as it is 3 points behind league leaders of Basaksehirspor.

Alanyaspor has one of the worst games of this season and despite of starting game in high note it wasnt able to respond after losing the game 3:1 and has provided whole game to the Galatasaray. It needs to be stated in sense of the league Alanyaspor is not having very bad season for the new team at the league and it did get some impressive wins during 1st half of the season.

Galatasaray is currently 3 points behind leaders of the Basaksehirspor and does find itself at the title race as we are entering to the of 2017, which is much better result compare to the last season.

Besiktas has ended year at the league with a win against Gaziantepspor.

Besiktas has won the last game of the 2016 at the Super League with a win against Gaziantepspor with the 1:0 scoreline with the help of the goal by Vincent Aboubakar despite of Besiktas not providing their best football during the game.

As was mentioned several times during this season, Besiktas is far-away from its top performance during this season compare to previous one and hence it also affects to the gameplay. It  needs to be stated the win yesterday was not an easy one for them but their were ones who made things dangerous. Gaziantepspor did create high chances of the goal-scoring but with the lack of converting them due of quality gap didnt allow them to win the game. Even through Vincent Aboubakar has scored high quality goal at the game, in overall he still didnt manage to convert high amount of chances and still raise questions if he is high quality attacker which Besiktas is looking right now. Besiktas does need to work to get back its big tempo during midseason break and possibly transfer defender and attacker.

Besiktas has ended 2016 with 1 point behind Basaksehirspor and still stays as one of the main contenders to win the league title at the end of the season. But it needs to improve its football if it wants to achieve that aim.

Trabzonspor would aim to win their last game at their stadium Huseyin Avni Aker against Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor Super League 16th week game would go down to the history as the last game at the Avni Aker Stadium before Trabzonspor moves to the Senol Gunes Sports Complex in 2017.

With such an historical game it needs to be stated that Trabzonspor would be having an extra motivation to win the game and hence will give their best during the game. Besiktas has managed to win the last game at the Super League season.

Besiktas has managed to win its last game at the Super League of the 2016 with 1:0 scoreline against Gaziantepspor even through it needs to be stated that it didnt provide its best performance during the game.

After recieving a loss against Kasimpasa during last week it was important for Besiktas to get a win
and get into winning mood at the home ground against Gaziantepspor. It needs to be stated that Besiktas didnt provide a very good football and has had difficulty at creating dangerous chances even through it has provided careful game at the defence. It needs to be stated that Gaziantepspor didnt provide also top football and had wasted lots of chances which has led for Besiktas to find such a goal. It needs to be stated that it was good news for Vincent Aboubakar to score a classy football as it would raise his motivation during the game and would help him to get into better mood for upcoming year with providing such a goal. It was important for Besiktas to end the season with a win despite of not providing its top football.

Gaziantepspor has provided a good performance at the game by creating some chances and not being too scared about going to the Besiktas but there was visible of the lack of quality during their chances. Fenerbahce has won game with a cruise control mode.

Turkish Cup 3rd week games has been mainly dominated by the 3 clubs  of the top 4, apart of the Besiktas, winning their first games at this season Turkish Cup group stage with Fenerbahce winning Menemen Belediyespor in Izmir.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has controlled the game for most of the part without raising tempo of the game too much and being at the cruise control as the scoreline of 1:0 shows at the end of the day. It does need to be stated however that Menemen Belediyespor did show some good performance with being at the 2nd league (or 3rd tier at the league system) with providing very brave football by showing impressive attacking football. Of course, giving so much effort, even if their opponents were not playing with best 11 has affected them and their became tired which only went as an advantage to the Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce did get an important win even through this performance does show that their not taking group stage at least of group stage into full focus.

Fenerbahce needs to carry on winning at Turkish Cup if it wants to get to the knockout stages but due of league condition and Europa League it might not get this tournament into serious matter.

Trabzonspor has got an important win against Kizilcabolukspor.

Trabzonspor in the other hand would certainly needs to take Turkish Cup seriously as it would be only their chance to end season with a title and possibly competing at the European tournament next season as chances at the league are arleady seem to be slim.

Despite of that, Trabzonspor has won its first game at the group stage and that was against weakest link of the group Kizilcabolukspor. The win with 5:0 scoreline however did lead some possitve aspects to the team. 1st one was to gain an 19-year old potential star of team and whole Turkey Yusuf Yazici who have scored two goals during the game and has provided 3 assists has played an important role in all goals scored. Another positive aspect of the game was to get motivation prior to the Super League 16th week game against Fenerbahce on 26th December. With that game to be played at home it certainly would get good motivational boost even through Fenerbahce does come out as favourite.

Trabzonspor surely needs to take Turkish Cup more seriously due of their circumstances and is likely to become one of their favourites to get the tournament if their manage to get to the knockout stage.

Besiktas needs to improve if it wants to win Gaziantepspor.

Besiktas would coming back to the Super League with the game against Gaziantepspor during 16th week game as it would try to get to its top performance which it was lacking in the past weeks.

The game between Kasimpasa last week has shown that Besiktas does have decline which was observed from their performance and this has led to their 1st loss at the league in this season. There is a vision that players have become tired of the fast-tempo performance which their were showing before and even more importantly have to impact on providing much slower performance at creating chances. Fenerbahce has won without providing too much effort.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did manage to control game from start to end of the game but it has kept game at the slow tempo with playing a game at the cruise control which could be describe this minimal scoreline win. Fenerbahce as in similar way as it was with Amedspor has arrived to the game to the Izmir today and hence this tiredness and economical game by the team could be described due of this factor. In fact Menemen Belediyespor has managed to provide some nervous moments for the Fenerbahce during 1st half but due of difference between both sides at the sense at the quality it could not get desired result. It is good point that Fernandao has converted at penalty as he had managed to score again following Genclerbirligi league game.

Menemen Belediyespor has shown pretty impressive and brave football during 1st half and has created pretty good chances. It could even get draw if it didnt tired too early but team did leave positive image.

Trabzonspor has won its first game at the Turkish Cup with providing an comfortable win with 5:0 scoreline against weakest team at the group Kizilcabolukspor and despite of circumstances it still got an important motivation prior to the important Super League game against Fenerbahce on 26th December.

The game has been dominated from start to end by Trabzonspor with players ending the job in duration of the 35th minutes, as it turned scoreline to the 3:0. Galatasaray has managed to win their first win at the group stage during this season Turkish Cup game against surprising side of this campaign with 2:1 scoreline with the help of Josue penalty during last minutes of the game.
As been mentioned at the blog yesterday, Galatasaray was almost close to end game once again with 1:1 scoreline as it did during this season group stage. It needs to be stated that, with Jan Olde Riekerink stating after the game, that Galatasaray didnt perform well at the game yesterday. Possibly with Galatasaray being at what could be referred as easy group for them has affected their performance as their took their opponents and whole group in generally where lightly which led to this unexpected results from them. Without being at the European competitions during this season, Galatasaray doesnt have much excuse to see at least knockout stages but somehow it feels not to be concentrated into the tournament. However, with 5 points obtained and having other 3 games and as long as it would focus into result it would be taken place at the knockout stages.

Josue goal has prevented Galatasaray to get another draw at Turkish Cup.

Galatasaray has won its first Turkish Cup game during this season group stage with winning Tuzlaspor with 2:1 scoreline during 4th week game and had gained 5 points at the group.

It needs to be stated that however the winning goal has come at the additional time of the 2nd half and since has led almost for Galatasaray to gain another 1:1 draw and makes its chance to get into next stage. In fact, the way Galatasaray has played today has been very similarly to the previous games at the Turkish Cup and Tuzlaspor even through had difficulty to show upper hand due of quality difference between sides and playing away did show some positive aspects during the game and has made score draw in 75th minute after 7 minutes of conceding the goal. Galatasaray was lacking once again collective game. In fact the most memorable part of the game has been injury of the assistant referee during first half of the game.

Besiktas has got draw against Boluspor while playing at snowy conditions.

Besiktas has lost its first points at the Turkish Cup at the Group D 3rd week game against Boluspor at the game which was played under heavy snow conditions which led for Istanbul side to play at the conditions which it is not used to.
