Besiktas continues keep its title alive with win against Antalyaspor.

Besiktas does keep its vague chances for league title alive as it has continued its winning streak in the league going with getting 3:1 scoreline win against Antalyaspor with providing great comeback and performance during 2nd half.

One of the interesting aspects which has been seen at recent games at Besiktas is that it starts providing much more effective performance during 2nd half and also getting back while losing game with 1:0 scoreline. It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas didnt provide very good performance with letting Antalyaspor to provide much more effective performance with finding great header goal but once again Besiktas started showing much more attacking game. As those times, Besiktas did find an important 3 points with goals from Vincent Aboubakar and Cenk Tosun who is taking leadership once again to get crucial wins for the side. Besiktas has also moved ahead of Fenerbahce in the end of the game but it has been 2 extra games so therefore its chances for 2nd spot are being low.

Antalyaspor did have very good start of the game with providing good performance during 1st half with showing an attacking game but did lose effectiveness of the game during 2nd half and couldnt prevent Besiktas to show its comeback which could be seen normal due of recent form of the side.

Besiktas hence still finding themselves at the title race with this win but it would need to be very lucky as it would be awaiting for losses of Fenerbahce and Galatasaray at upcoming 4 games.

Fenerbahce would be getting good result against struggling Giresunspor.

Fenerbahce would be continuing its title race against Giresunspor as this game would be very important for its opponents which are aiming to stay on the league and would be seeking for at least 1 point. 

With playing game against Giresunspor earlier than Galatasaray, Fenerbahce would not be feeling at pressure too much and quite opposite would be aiming to provide to Galatasaray as with win it would get into same points with them. When taking account previous week, we could be seen that Fenerbahce does provide good and confident performance when playing before themselves. It needs to be mentioned that Giresunspor would be playing at least for 1 point and hence it would be playing mainly defensive game than providing too much attacks and hence Fenerbahce would be needed to provide some creative chances with attackers which it does pretty good but also would need to focus into providing good defence to prevent good chances from counter-attacks which does seem to be an issue in this season. 

Stating Fenerbahce would be coming out as favourites as an aim for title as it is known its being more pushing and motivating but still side would need to provide good defence to get good outcome.

Galatasaray considers to double Kerem Akturkoglu salary  

Galatasaray are considering to offer extension contract to its player Kerem Akturkoglu with providing double of his salary from 10 million TL to 20 million TL as many sides are showing interests towards him.

Kerem Akturkoglu  is continues to be one of the key players at the side in this seasons with providing an important number of assists and finding lots of key goals as he did in previous season and is also being 3rd captain at the team. Therefore those factors does show by itself why club and supporters would like to see player for long time and does provide offer at which he wouldnt like to move to European side as he does recieve lots of interests and likely offers in upcoming transfer window. Basaksehirspor did get advantage at tie thanks to the Figuiredo last minute goal.

Basaksehirspor has got an advantage scoreline during Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game with finding goal at last minute thanks to the Figuiredo goal at the great attacking organisation at the game where it played 10-men for bit longer than half.

Basaksehirspor did come out as favourites to the game and until it got red card during end of the 1st half, it has shown better performance with creating some chances but did lack last touch apart of close offside at the end of the game. It needs to be mentioned that things did go harder for Basaksehirspor after red card as would been expected as Ankaragucu did get control of the game, but organising and focussed performance of midfielders and defenders did prevent Ankaragucu to get some clear and good chances during game. With getting such result at home ground, it did get advantage at tie as even through they better side in more respect to opponents, it would be playing at difficult conditions in 2nd leg due of good supporters of opponent.

Basaksehirspor still with taking circumstances did get good result and could look forward for 2nd leg without doubt.

Ankaragucu still has chance in this tie during 2nd leg.

Ankaragucu on their part didnt provide very good performance on attack regardless how organised has been Basaksehirspor and could have shown much faster tempo during 2nd half with using extra men advantage at the field.

Ankaragucu didnt come specifically to game with good expectations, but taking account its route to semi-final it still has been as side with some good opportunities and it needs to be mentioned that it did look still organised in defence during 1st half. However, it did get good opportunity to get an advantage scoreline for 2nd leg due of red card of opponent but it did look bit passive and lacked creative at the front. Still, Ankaragucu would be coming out to 2nd leg with good chances but it would need to improve performance level.

It would be tough game for them but with help of supporters it can have some opportunities to turn around this tie during 2nd leg.

Besiktas would come out with good motivation against Antalyaspor

Even through chances for Besiktas winning title are still being pretty low, reducing point difference against leaders with winning derby game last week does provide some optimism and something to fight for the side.

Without doubt, such an opportunity for team would also provide positive impact for Antalyaspor game but in same time due of low chances it might not be feeling much pressure compare to 2 sides which are being above them which could lead for them to provide some attacking game. Basaksehirspor did get small advantage after Ankaragucu at Turkish Cup semi-final

Basaksehirspor has got an important win against Ankaragucu during Turkish Cup 1st leg game with goal from Figuiredo right in the end of the game despite of playing with one less man for longer than one men.

It would be needed to spend that Basaksehirspor did come out as favourite to the game and has started in such manner as it did get some very good chances during 1st half and did in fact find a goal which has been disallowed due of close offside. Therefore, Basaksehirspor even through didnt specifically get very close despite of disallowed goal and could have provided much more creative in attack it did look to be stronger side in this period. However, red card at the end of the 1st half due of preventing goal opportunity of Ankaragucu player did affect to team performance as it started providing much more defensive game without showing too much game and more focussed into not losing than winning. However, with Ankaragucu did create some chances it didnt provide too much pressure has provided some brave attacking game in the end of the game which it did use effectively with good attacking organisation ending with Figuiredo goal.

Ankaragucu needs to be mentioned did provide some good organisation at defence which prevented for Basaksehirspor to get full control and dominance of the game even through opponent has been more active. However, not same could be stated for attacking of the team as even through it did get some opportunities during 90 minutes, it did look to be pretty passive including 2nd half when it had an extra men. It needs to be mentioned that Ankaragucu did show some organising game in overall and did play for win but the factor that it didnt show similar tempo game as it did with Tolunay Kafkas on recent games iwht looking much more passive game did prvent them to get an advantage for 2nd leg game but still 1:0 is being scoreline which it could turn around in Ankara.

The tie is still open but when looking at quality factor it does need to be mentioned that Basaksehirspor has bit more advantage over Ankaragucu after 1st leg.

Fenerbahce did play for a draw on 1st leg and did get it.

Compare to previous game between Sivasspor and Fenerbahce, latter side didnt need to win and draw would be seen pretty good outcome and this matter has affected into how both sides has performed for 90 minutes.

Playing at away game in the 2-leg Turkish Cup semi-final game against Sivasspor would mean that getting draw at away game would be seen as good outcome and hence Fenerbahce did provide its main tactics according to that focussing into midfield. It needs to be mentioned that during first 12 minutes Fenerbahce has been side which did get control of the game and did create some good chances and possibly did look for an early goal but with that goal not coming it has provided some confidence to opponent and themselves has provided much midfielding performance. Due of difficult conditions and aims between league and cup for Sivasspor it was expected to provide much better performance in this game and they did just that with looking much organised side.

Main focus for Sivasspor has been to improve its performance at defence and midfielding area and even through defence wasnt still perfect as Fenerbahce did create some chances, looking in overall it did provide good midfielding performance. Both Fenerbahce and Sivasspor has shown controllable game at 1st leg of Turkish Cup

Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game has been ended with goalless draw as both sides has provided more controllable game which is being normal outcome for this stage game as both sides dont want to risk a lot prior to 2nd leg.

There was expectation that this game would been different compare to league game where Fenerbahce did win with 3:1 scoreline few days ago as Sivasspor were taking Turkish Cup more serious compare to league due of its situation in the tournament. It needs to be mentioned that there was still lots of willingness from Fenerbahce side as it did provide some very good chances and did lack in some moments last touch but still it didnt provide high amount of pressure both due of Sivasspor providing much more organised defence and also possibility of counter-attack. Taking account that Fenerbahce are seeing for double in this season, such performance could be highly anticipated from their side. Therefore with Fenerbahce playing previous game for win and this game to get an advantage for 2nd leg, such performance of them could be understood.

Sivasspor meanwhile did look to be much more compact at defence compare to league game and has also looked more creative at attack even through it is difficult to state for sure that it has provided enough pressure towards Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce would be meeting with Sivasspor, this time at Turkish Cup.

With Fenerbahce getting a confident win against Sivasspor at Super League on weekend, it would be meeting with an opponent this time at Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg as it would be expected to be tougher game.

It is known that Fenerbahce are having some good chances at ending season at the double as it winning Turkish Cup is being on their hand while on league there are also dependance how Galatasaray. It is expected for Fenerbahce to provide strong performance against Sivasspor with an ideal squad, as to get an advantage scoreline towards final game at the 1st leg and also keep its confidence and motivation high prior to Giresunspor league game. It would be missing Enner Valencia but it did show that it is capable at showing top level game with his absence.

Fenerbahce did set an eye for double in this season and hence would be providing strong attacking game with also focus into defence given.

We would see much more willing Sivasspor against Fenerbahce at cup.

As been noted above Sivasspor are expected to be providing much more stronger and effective performance against Fenerbahce at Turkish Cup tie and hence would be expected to be more motivated game.

Giresunspor has terminated contract with Hakan Keles

Giresunspor has terminated contract with its head coach Hakan Keles in mutual agreement as it was known that Keles did want to leave club for long time and this time has accepted this resignation.

Hakan Keles in self-aware way did know that he couldnt provide much help to the team in the recent games as side is uncapable to get results and are being on danger of being relegated as it didnt also use opportunities on game against Istanbulspor day before. Galatasaray are in decline as we enter to final stages of the season.

Galatasaray continues losing points in the last 2 weeks as we are entering to final stages of the season as this time it has lost to Besiktas with 3:1 scoreline and does show some worrying performance on the field.

Even more worrying is that Galatasaray defence doesnt provide similar performance as it did for most part of the season as it conceded 6 goals and has reduced point difference with Fenerbahce to 3 points and Besiktas to 5 points with extra game of latter side. It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did provide a view of confidence that they would win title in the end of the season both within side and media started referring to them as Champ... With Fenerbahce even through also losing points being in good form in recent weeks this relaxation could provide some issues to Galatasaray as it still has some difficult games including against Basaksehirspor next week. 

Galatasaray are still favourites for title despite of loss to Besiktas but they form does provide some worries with recent team performance for sure.

Besiktas did send message that they would fight for title until end.

Few weeks ago our blog did state that Besiktas are still at the title race mathematically but when looking realistically chances are very low as even on scenario winning all games left in the season could not be enough for 2nd spot.

Besiktas did want to win game more than Galatasaray and when looking at comments after game, players and Senol Gunes are also aware of difficulty at the situation so therefore it could be noted that among keeping their chances alive, it has been even more important to send strong message to its own supporters, opponents and media that they would not give up for they fight for title. It needs to be mentioned that it did achieve that as after conceding goal it has been side which dominated game and has provided strong and effective organising game with focus to find goals. Thereofre, it could be confidently stated that Besiktas got well-deserved 3-points with strong performance.

Besiktas did provide hence hope for its supporters for title but its needs to be incredible lucky to end season with title for sure.

Fenerbahce chances for title are not as low as it looks on first glance.

As been noted above Besiktas did get an important win for its title race, but when looking at standings and other results it could be noted quite confidently that main winner of this week has been Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce has two tasks to achieve which are pretty straight forward, which is to win games and wait for Galatasaray to lose points and with Besiktas being below them with potentially 5 points difference, has meant that it would welcome such result. Without doubt, playing before Galatasaray compare to previous result has been mentally Fenerbahce advantage which it did use. It would be also argued, and despite of draw against Istanbulspor, Fenerbahce are in recent games are in better form.  Would this be enough to win title will be shown by time, but it does look pretty confidently that Fenerbahce likely would come out to derby game against Galatasaray with possibility to win title.

Fenerbahce would need to focus to win all games until end of the season and wait how Galatasaray would perform in this period.

Besiktas wanted to get 3 points much more than Galatasaray

Besiktas has won one of the most-awaited derbies during this season with 3:1 scoreline at home ground and has dominated game against leaders apart of first 30-35 minutes while Galatasaray has been pretty passive ending game with only shot at the goal during 90 minutes.

It needs to be stated that Besiktas didnt start game at very good form with having low tempo, control of the ball and has led Galatasatay to control game which led an opponent to find goal with Mauro Icardi. However, following Icardi goal and even more after Besiktas has scored its first goal with Saiss, Besiktas has raised tempo and control of the game and did create pretty good performance and has ended into half-time with game being on its own control. Besiktas in fact did raise tempo and dominance of the game during 2nd half with finding 3rd goal with Aboubakar and could have scored even more as Besiktas did provide dominance at the game and could have found even more goals. With such performance Besiktas has reduced point difference to 5 points with one extra time and has some low chance for title. 

Galatasaray did have good start of the game with getting partly control of the game and has shown some good attacking game and has found goal with Mauro Icardi but when at the game in general, Galatasaray did look to be passive and didnt provide much of the fighting spirit which to some extend has been also affected by atmosphere as Besiktas has provided push to its own players and has affected confidence to Galatasaray players. Hence, Galatasaray did provide worst and least focussed performance from derby players and it needs to bounce back in short notice in upcoming weeks as it would be playing with Basaksehirspor next week as it only finds itself only 3 points against Fenerbahce. Meanwhile, Sergio Oliveira mistake has led for Besiktas to find goal which led them go ahead and it would be willing for player to get over such dramatic goal for himself.

When looking overall at title race, it could be stated that main winner of this week has been Fenerbahce as it found itself 3 points behind Galatasaray with 4 games to be played among extra +3 points it would get for free. 

Fenerbahce has regained confidence as we enter to last weeks of the season.

Fenerbahce has done its part at the title race as it has managed to beat Sivasspor at away game with 3:1 scoreline in pretty difficult conditions and has regained confidence and morale as we enter into last stage of the season.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did have some difficulties with one of them being prior to game as club didnt win in this stadium for very long time and have some dramatic games. During game, it had an injury of Enner Valencia and later red card of Irfan Can Kahveci. But with providing strong and effective game in attack and especially at defence let them on field to be looking like an easy win. Without doubt, Sivasspor showing ineffective performance and lacking strong attacking game did make its task much easier. This win would have without doubt a positive impact for upcoming games.

Fenerbahce and Sivasspor would meet again this time at Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg and for sure it would be expected to be different game as Sivasspor would provide more effective performance likely.

Trabzonspor has lost its 2nd game with Nenad Bjelica as team mentally did end this ongoing season and are planning for upcoming season so it would be expected for them to carry on such manner.

Trabzonspor head coach Nenad Bjelica as been noted is currently going through trial and error period with its players as he is studying condition and willingness of the players and hence this 2 losses and upcoming games could provide some idea into gaming plan of Bjelica but it would be unreasonable to provide any reference into how he is coaching.
